Wonderful trip
Perfect property for our trip with teens, grandparents, extended family and our 2 well behaved dogs. Wonderful space, facilities and views. Host very attentive and excellent communication. We needed somewhere we could access with a wheelchair abd this property was well designed for easy access, a lift and multiple wet rooms. Enjoyed large family dining and quality time in the open planned living space. Highly recommend !

Incredible home
The home is superb with fabulous views all round, a particular hit if you love horses. Very well maintained, and well equipped too, with a host who is really attentive and helpful. I thoroughly recommend this as a great base for weymouth, Dorchester and the surrounding area

Great house, shame about the weather
We had a wet and windy new year stay at Moneymusk, but the property is a great place to return to after a bracing walk on the coast. A huge amount of space, very well equipped and amazing views. It’s also cozy and warm with the underfloor heating system. We also had a tour around the stables, which was fascinating. Highly recommended.

Spacious luxury with disabled facilities
Enjoyed many extras in this modern beautifully situated property. Had fun locating the plethora of extra features, switches and remote controls(-: The horses, ducks and many birds were a bonus. We will be back to stay again. Suggestions for additional improvements would be upgraded Wi-Fi, ceiling or standing fan in lounge, patios cleaned and weeded and bushes trimmed.— but all in all this is a fantastic house, especially for those with limited mobility.

Perfect place to switch off
Live it up like the lord of the manor. A really comfortable home set within a working horse training and livery business. Surrounded by hills and landscape, enjoy sunrise and sunset without anything or anyone overlooking. Private grounds surround the house and easy driving to lots of sights of the area including the Jurassic coast. The place makes you switch off and let the world go by. No better place to do that.

WOW. Absolutely amazing.
- massive huge mansion with electronic gate, ducks and horses to view at. Ponds, meadow and extreme luxurious interior. Loaded with everything you need like as if you were in ur own home. It is way better than the pictures. -ate at the black dog Inn. Super tasty and super friendly staff. -humongous tesco nearby. Super friendly chatty staff -got to see durdledoor, lulworth cove, kingston lacy, rspb arne sanctuary and the blue pool - had late night takeaway. One kebab shop gave us a free pizza. -lady visits to feed ducks. Super friendly and very useful to get ideas.

Horses
This house is very interesting. Jo gave us a very good tour of the stables that we really enjoyed. We had two meals at "The New Inn" which is owned by the same family in the nearby town. The meals were great. Internet access is slow and our US T-Mobile cell phone service was almost non-existent. But, this made us more focused on enjoying the country side and the house, which was a very good thing.

Amazing property
Incredible and fascinating views of the working racing stables. The luxurious house had everything we needed. 20 minutes from Weymouth or Lulworth Cove. 9 minutes from a large supermarket. Easy to get to country pubs away from the crowds.

We loved this place (especially me as I have my own horse, so it was like home from home) the House has a special chilled feel to it; and I understood why when learning of the original owner/designer of the house ! We had everything we could ever need for the perfect wind down we all needed (the weather was awful - but the house and surroundings more than made up for that) Stacey and Jo were marvellous; nothing was too much trouble - not that we needed much ! The New Inn - is a MUST for food - AMAZING !

Excellent property, but a car is a must as it is out in the country, which makes it a very peaceful location. The horses antics amuse you out of the windows. House is well decorated and furnished, maybe a wardrobe in the twin room would be beneficial.

Spacious well laid out house.
The house is located close to places to visit. It has a calming atmosphere. Easy to get around if you have walking difficulties or in a wheelchair. Lift is a real bonus. Bathrooms are also fantastic. However if you have young children or are a dog owner garden if not enclosed and there are steep stairs. The ducks from the pond out from wonder around the property and so do the dogs from the stud next door. Delicious food waiting for us in the fridge to heat up.

Lovely property. Lovely location. Down fall was 10am having tea on the balcony in bed wear. And a sigh written commercial work van. Pulled up the drive. Sat in his van eating. Making me feel uncomfortable. Then he takes a phone call. Gets out his van. Walks around the grounds. Noticing me on the balcony. But looked away And then went in to the garage of the property I’ve paid a lot to rent for 5 days. And starts loading metal scaffolding poles on to his van. Making my dog bark like mad. Didn’t expect to have this on the first morning their. Should of been informed. Also I had a white and brown jack russel enter the property. Which was alarming for my old male dog. Then a black Labrador dog had a poo on the lawn. Which yes I got a picture of the dog. As why should I clean up after the neighbours dogs. This is why I rate a 3 star.

Lovely house with great views
In the hottest week of the year we had our week away at this lovely house . 6 of us with the age range 9 to 76 and our dog. The house location in relation the the coastline was fantastic, just 10 minutes drive from Weymouth. The house itself was spacious and airy with lovely views. The lift was really useful for my dad who struggled a bit with stairs. Details for contact with the host were easily available and an issue with bed set up at the start was sorted out quickly. The oven took a little working out but once I’d realised the bottom was fan assisted and the other not it was easier. The garden space was large and plenty of room to play games. We did have a bit of an issue with visiting dogs from the stables popping through the open fence hence the 4 stars - whilst they seemed friendly enough the amount of extra dog poop I was clearing up daily wasn’t funny. Having said this we did report it during our stay and Stacey was apologetic and trying to do something about it. Hopefully it’ll be sorted for future rentals.

Excellent place to stay.
This place is amazing. Absolutely huge plenty of space to have space for yourself and the whole family. We traveled down from north Ayrshire to attend my son’s wedding. We had 6 of us traveling in 3 cars. My mother(80) and father(82) . Our daughter(28) and her fiancé(29) arrived next and my husband(56)and myself (52) arrived after them all so we ended up in the smaller room with twin. The floor plan for the top leave is outstanding there plenty of space for all ages to hang around. The only things I would say was the garden is inclosed when in fact if the dogs needed to wee you had to take them out on leads. Ff

This is the second time that we have taken our family to stay, last year we came for just 3 days, this time it was a week . The house and grounds are really beautiful. The house works for us as we are a family of grown ups, with partners, and spouses. It is a good location, and is very easy to get to many places. We were always happy to be back at the house at the end of a day out . I'm sure that we will return again . Thank you .

Beautiful house and location
The house is huge and is stunning. It's in a superb location and we were very lucky with the weather - overall we had an amazing time in a beautiful spot. However there were a few areas that were disappointing; Upon arrival, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes - some of which really needed replacing. The mugs were so stained we actually had to bleach them before we could use them. Previously, we've always been greeted with a small welcome pack from the owner - even if it's a small jug of milk to make a cuppa. The garden had a couple of dog poos left on it. We assumed this was from the previous guests but it soon became apparent that this was not the case. The garden was not secure and I found it difficult to relax as it was impossible to leave my dog in the garden unsupervised at all. This was then also obvious when we had several dogs visit the garden - we certainly hadn't expected to be sharing the garden with other dogs and picking up their poo too on our holiday! We didn't have children but noted that it wouldn't be very child friendly due to the open plan layout and stairs with no stair gate evident. We were also a little disappointed with the standard of the house finish for a property that's advertised as luxurious - it all felt a little mis-matched. The VRBO listing also states that there's a barbecue present. We hunted high and low to no avail. We then asked the man who feeds the ducks who advised that there wasn't a barbecue at the house as previous guests had had too large barbecues? This was a shame as we'd purchased a lot of barbecue food based on this information - and had to go out and buy one. Lastly, we had no direct contact from the owner whatsoever, no message to check we were happy with everything and also no guest book left at the house for these comments - most unusual. On the whole a lovely holiday base but would benefit from some tweaks to be considered luxurious.

Great location, great house.
This was the second week this summer that we have spent here. It has large expanses of glass that make the views of the surrounding countryside and the racing stables very relaxing. Equipped with everything you need (unless you need a bathtub) it was built to a high standard to accommodate a wheelchair bound owner. Stacy handles the booking and any configuration requests. She also acted quickly to make some minor changes based on my feedback after our first week. One of our most enjoyable VRBO rentals.

The house was all we expected and more. It had everything you could possibly need. We loved the peacefulness and were able to really relax. It was a great base to explore the area. We ate at the Black dog food was great. There were lots of restaurants in Dorchester a short drive away. We will miss the horses and ducks.

We had a lovely week, everyone we met on site was friendly and helpful. The meals we had ordered were wonderful although only the lasagne was enjoyed by the children , so had to make meals for them. Location great for the beach and museums so covered all weather conditions. Only addition which would have helped would be information on how the Aga and heating worked.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The wrap-around view was amazing and the space inside was incredible. The dogs enjoyed the gardens and the lovely walks in the morning. The property was equipped with everything and was lovely to come home to after an active day. Although the disabled facilities slightly detract from the glamour of the property, it by no means ruined anything. I would say to anyone who has a physical impairment and are looking for somewhere to go for a peaceful break, this is golddust. That said, it is fabulous for able bodied too. Overall, a great few days.

Wonderful long weekend
We brought our adult children, and their partners for a long bank holiday weekend. Monymusk has it all. So spacious, and extremely comfortable. It really has the wow factor! Fantastic views from huge windows, waking up to seeing horses , I could go on, and on. So perfectly situated for visiting, and exploring Dorset. Would definitely come again. Wonderful!

Fantastic house, grounds and host.
Fantastic place to stay. Very clean. All round comfortable furniture in the living room and comfy beds. After a long day out it was so nice to come back and relax on the array of comfy plush sofas or chairs. So nice to stay somewhere that has bothered to make sure there was enough seating in the living room for all the guests plus extra. The kitchen is wonderful, loved the Aga to cook on. Stacey is a great host and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Great property to relax in, spacious, comfortable and quiet. Bedrooms are spacious and aircon in the master bedroom is a bonus for a UK holiday let. Large upstairs kitchen and downstairs utility with washing machine. A couple of smaller issues were resolved quickly by friendly onsite owner who communicated quickly via text message. Like others have said we also didn't manage to master the hot water flow in the showers, but we managed well enough and our showers were a little frustrating, but not cold. Plenty of local pubs and restaurants in local villages and in Dorchester and places to takeaway from in Dorchester (6 minute drive). Asda also deliver. Great location to explore Dorset from.

Enjoyable stay at Monymusk House Stud
Monymusk House Stud is an idyllic rural retreat and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. There was complete privacy and security. Seeing the horses in the meadows every morning as we awoke was a welcome break. The stable workers were very friendly and gave us lot of information on how the horses are looked after on a daily basis. The house was very well equipped with modern facilities and was tastefully furnished. Few minor things that would have been desirable: chair in the bedroom, toiletries, bathroom slippers, and a broom for the kitchen area in addition to the brush and pan. Overall it was very good value for money and highly recommended. Best wishes to Monymusk.

Beautiful modern house. Difficult first couple of days as there were no instructions for the kitchen and other equipment, the TV remote control didn't work properly, and the other TV not at all, and the underfloor heating was on without being able to turn off. As the weather was warm that made for sometimes uncomfortable nights. The house is spacious and comfortable but not finding anywhere to let the dog off the lead as it was a stud and had ducks near the house was a disadvantage. More advice about areas where we could allow this and not have to pay a fee would have been welcome. We were promised a new TV remote but it never came and although we enquired about the excess heat from the floor no one seemed to know how to turn it off. The man who came to try to help and rescued me from being stuck in the lift (again no instructions and it couldn't be summoned)was kind and friendly and did his best with limited information. A lovely area and it was good to be a shortish drive to the beach and enjoy the house's attractive garden and balconies .

Peace and quiet
My husband and I,My sister and husband took my mom of 85 years of age plus dog to this fantastic family house.The location was superb for days out.The lift was a god send for my mom as she has trouble with stairs,but once up stairs with her Walker their was no stopping her.The lounge was outstanding looking over the country side,horses all in the fields,ducks in the pond.The weather was excellent,what more could we ask for.The pub down the road called the New Inn was welcoming and food excellent.Definitely would go back again in the future.

Had a lovely weekend and was really impressed with the communication and friendliness of property manager/staff on site. Had a couple to luke warm showers as we couldn’t understand the hot water/heating system, but apart from that we couldn’t of asked for more. Ordered lasagne that was in the fridge on arrival and we’d highly recommend. Nice touch with a surprise banner for my partners birthday and thank you for the ice cubes in the freezer. Location to beach/Weymouth/Lulworth cove etc was all a short drive. Watching the sunset on the balcony and nice views was another benefit. Overall we would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful House
Really stunning house in lovely setting.Two great pubs in close vicinity serving excellent food.Beds towels etc very comfortable and excellent quality.Could do with a tea and coffee pot .Only had one small problem whilst visiting which was very promptly dealt with .
