An den Hotelmanager; Sie können auf jeden einzelnen ihrer Mitarbeiter wirklich stolz sein. Ein so perfekter Service ist ein absoluter Grund ihr Hotel zu empfehlen. Es beginnt bei der Ankunft vor dem Hotel, die Jungs vom Valet Service sind super. Ein gut gelaunter Mitarbeiter Momodou empfängt einen, trotz der Hitze im August mit einem strahlendem Lachen und gibt einem tolle Tips für die Umgebung. Das Team am Empfang perfekt. Die Kollegen aus der Club Lounge herzlich und zuvorkommend. Morgens beim Frühstück von Pauline begrüßt zu werden und sich von den Kollegen verwöhnen lassen ist einfach wunderbar. Das Housekeeping Team auch überaus freundlich und perfekt in ihrer Arbeit. Ebenso das Team vom Pool und Strand. Jederzeit versorgen sie einen mit Wasser und sind steht’s zur Stelle. Es war ein absolut perfekter Aufenthalt in ihrem Hotel.

Das Hotel an sich erfüllt sicherlich jeglichen erwarteten Standard,jedoch waren wir in der Zeit des Ramadan da und es war wirklich eine Katastrophe-das kein Alkohol ausgeschenkt wurde ok,das kann man noch akzeptieren,wenn auch unerwartet in einen intercontinentalen Hotel-das jedoch weder ein Kaffee noch ein alkoholfreies Getränk am Pool oder Strand serviert wird,des Glaubens wegen,die ganzen Bars im Hotel geschlossen sind ,ebenfalls die Hälfte der Restaurants- und das was geöffnet hat,nicht dem zahlenden Hotelgast an erster Stelle,sondern dem Einheimischen Ramadangast zur Verfügung gestellt wird geht überhaupt gar nicht. Ganz abgesehen davon ,dass man in kleinster Weise darauf hingewiesen wurde,dass während des Ramadan die Uhren im Hotel für jeden gänzlich anders ticken. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht von dieser Vorgehensweise,nicht das man den Glauben nicht akzeptiert aber was zuviel ist ,ist zuviel,schließlich zahlt man für einen gewissen Standart. Grundsätzlich ist das Hotel ok aber niemals wieder zu Ramadan!

Tolles Hotel mit sehr schöner Außenanlagen. Zimmer groß mit Sitz- und Arbeitsbereich. Großzügiger Badbereich. Leider hapert es beim Zimmerservice. Zimmer mehrfach erst nach 16-17 Uhr fertig, Seifenspender wurden nicht überprüft, sodass schon mal Badeseife fehlte. Staubsaugen ja, aber nicht gründlich! Dagegen ist der Service in den Restaurants überwältigend. Alles wird möglich gemacht, alle sehr fleißig. Was schade ist, das hohe Aufkommen an Plastikflaschen. Man bekommt am Strand Wasser in kleinen Flaschen als Compliments. Man kann sich vorstellen was da zusammenkommt. Ansonsten liegt das Hotel so günstig, dass man alles mit der Metro machen kann. Tageskarte 1,50 €!!!

Das Hotel insgesamt hat uns gut gefallen. Leider gibt es aber aktuell eine größere Baustelle am Strand die laut ist und es fanden Renovierungsarbeiten nahe unserem Zimmer statt (Hämmern, Farbgeruch). Am Strand ist der Internetempfang leider schwach und funktioniert teilweise nicht. Beim Frühstück dauert es manchmal länger, bis man seinen Kaffee bekommt. Wenn die Bauarbeiten abgeschlossen sind (vor der Buchung am besten im Hotel anfragen), dann ist das Hotel empfehlenswert und für die WM dank naher U-Bahn-Station gut geeignet.

Sehr gutes Hotel. Toller Service, alles sehr gut gepflegt. Auch die Lage ist ideal wenn man sowohl zu The Pearl Katar, nach Katara oder in den Diplomatenviertel gehen möchte. Die Preise für die Getränke empfanden wir übertrieben. Für ein Softgetränk bezahlt man rund 20 bis 25 QR, während in Restaurants in der Umgebung lediglich 10 bis 12 QR verlangt werden. Alles in allem ist es dennoch empfehlenswert.

Insgesamt in Ordnung, aber viele kleine Abstriche muss man machen bzgl Service und Sauberkeit. Nichts dramatisches, aber von einem Intercontinental muss man mehr erwarten.

Immer wieder gerne
Wir haben zum zweiten Mal einen einwöchigen Urlaub im Interconti verbracht und den Aufenthalt erneut sehr genossen. Dieses Mal hatten wir allerdings ein Zimmer mit Blick auf Pool und Meer, was an sich sehr schön war, allerdings dazu führte, dass wir in den beiden Nächten des qatarischen Wochenendes (DO und FR) in den "Genuss" der offenbar wöchentlich stattfindenden Veranstaltungen mit paralleler Musikbeschallung bis nach 1 Uhr kamen. Von daher, werde ich beim nächsten Aufenthalt wieder den Stadt-View nehmen, die Skyline hat auch was für sich und diese Seite ist ruhig.

Hotelanlage verfügt über einen "alten" und einen neuen Zimmerteil. Daher unbedigt ein Clubzimmer buchen. Die "alten" Zimmer sind nicht mehr zeitgemäss und entsprechend funktionieren diverse Dinge nicht. Zimmerservice ist sehr gut. Ashaf Hossain hate jeweil unser Zimmer bestens gereinigt! Gesamtes Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

The Intercontinental beach Hotel in Doha is a great Hotel with excellent Service. Good Food in particular the breakfast which can be taken also outdoor. The staff is very friendly. The beach area is great.The big issue is that on three sides of the Hotel constractions are going on and the noise at the beach area is very disturbing. The room was relatively quied. We stayed for 8 nights with the objective to enjoy the sun at the beach.At check out we made a bad experince. Before midnight there are a lot of peoepl to check out so we payed our bill already at 8 PM. As we indicated that we wanted to go back to the room for two hour we were told that we have to give an other doposite as we could steal something out of the Minibar. The result was that we would have to check out again and stand again in line. Finaly the guy at reception gave up and we did not have to give a further deposte. This event made us a bit upset and it destroyed a bit the good Impression we had with this Hotel. It seems that the reception area is not realy customer oriented.

Tolles Hotel fuer Strand+ Pool-Urlaub
Direkt am Strand, mit Service bis zur Strandliege unter Palmen-Sonnenschirmen. Schoene Poolanlage, Poolbars. Auch waehrend Ramadan kein Problem mit Essen und Trinken, gute Kueche (Tip: Grieche am Pool am Abend!). Minibar wird auch waehrend Ramadan nicht ausgeraeumt (Bier und Wein). Aber wie ueberall zu dieser Zeit kein Alkohol an den Bars, egal wo. Travelagency I'm Haus fuer alles was man in Doha machen kann (Tip: Deserttour mit Landcruiser, das ist Sandsurfen mit dem Gelaendewagen, halber Tag reicht!)

Familienfreundliches Hotel-Achtung Shuttle Service
Meine Familie (Ehemann und sechsjaehriger Sohn) waren Ende Februar fuer 5 Tage im Intercontinental Hotel in Doha untergebracht. Das Hotel verfuegt u.a. ueber ein hervorragendes Restaurant "Fish Market", in dem man sich sein Menue selbst zusammenstellen kann und der Fisch frisch zubereitet wird. Wie auch das Fruestuecksbuffet, hat dies seinen Preis! Der in der Hotelbeschreibung erwaehnte "Complimentary Shuttle Service" ist nur eingeschraenkt zu bestimmten Zeiten angeboten, obwohl dies auf der Hotelwebseite bzw. von Expedia nicht erwaehnt wird (Fahrpaln beim Hotel anfordern!). Alles in Allem ein sehr teueres Hotel, geeignet fuer wohlhabende Familien.
