Das Hotel selbst ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, die Einrichtung entsprechend genutzt. Dennoch wird auf Sauberkeit geachtet. Der Service ist hervorragend, die Verpflegung (bei mir Halbpension) war sehr gut. Die Preise sind insgesamt günstig - gerade wenn man aus Sanzibar angereist ist. Flughafentransfer hat hervorragend geklappt.

Die Gesamterfahrung war gut, obwohl ich super schockiert war, als ich das Hotel verlassen wollte und der zuständige Angestellte mir sagte, dass ich Gebühren und Steuern nicht bezahlt habe, obwohl ich bereits bezahlt hatte. In der Zwischenzeit rief ich zwei Tage vor dem Einchecken im Hotel an und bestätigte meine Buchung (einschließlich aller Zahlungen). Ich hatte das Gefühl, einen Kunden zu beleidigen, besonders weil ich meine Buchung bereits im Voraus überprüft hatte.

Hohes Niveau, insbesondere für Ostafrika. Äußerst freundliches und auch kompetentes Personal. Tolles Frühstücksbüffet. Zur Stadt sehr praktisch gelegen. Wenig Gastronomie in der Nachbarschaft, das Hotelrestaurant ist aber gut.

The rooms (at least the one we were assigned to) deserve a complete overhaul: * remove the stained and faded carpet and replace it by some sort of parquet-type floor (easier to clean) * remove the silicone sealing rests on toilet and bath tub (looks better, less nesting space for bacteria) * DISINFECT THE AIRCON Unfortunately I have contracted an allergy vs. mold & spores, the reaction is allergic asthma. I have not needed ANY medication for this during my journey of the width of Africa until I stayed at the Holiday Inn, where I had to resort to massive use of corticoids and bronchodilation meds. The hotel staff were reasonably friendly, the staff in bars and cafes associated with the hotel were very friendly. I would recommend the hotel if the showstoppers concerning the room and aircon would be fixed.

Der Service an der Rezeption lässt zu wünschen übrig. Trotz des vorliegenden bezahlten Vouchers von Hotels.com musste man diskutieren, dass man bereits bezahlt hat, das geht meiner meinung nach gar nicht. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet, aber die Aircondition hatte einen schrecklichen, schimmelartigen Geruch. Zum Glück waren wir nur einen Nacht dort. Das Hotel würde ich nie wieder buchen!

I liked the centralized location. The hotel staff were amazing. The staff upfront Margaret at the reception desk is the epitome of hospitality. Margaret is a dream. I payed for two nights of dinner for two adults. I visited the restaurant the last night i stayed there unfortunately, my experience was ruined by a manager who came up to my table interrupting my experience by demanding that I pull out my phone and rate his restaurant right there in front of him. I didn't comply to his ridiculous request. I thought it was rude.

2023年8月に2泊しました。 TZは10数年訪れており、毎回Arushaにわたる・Arushaから帰る数日間をDARで過ごしています。 ○立地…非常に良い より値段のはるLuxuryなホテルなどと同じような地域にあります。 歩いて10-15分くらいのところに外国人向けのスーパーがあり（歩くと街の雰囲気も分かります）、同じくらいでZanzibar行きのフェリー乗り場にも行けます。 ○食事…個人的には好きです。 日本人の口には合うと思います。 歩いて2-3分のところにピザハットがあり、やはり7-10分くらいでKFCがありますので、味・値段が気に入らなければ外に食べに行ってもよいかと思います。 ○インターネット…日本の感覚だと少し遅いけど、問題なし この10年間からすればこれだけ安定するようになったことに私自身は進歩を感じます。 あくまで日本と比べれば遅いかもしれませんが、十分ではないでしょうか。 ○その他 ・とにかくシーツがペトペトしています（今回はこれが一番気になりました）。最上階のレストランもそうなので港町DARゆえかもしれません。そうであればこれはこのホテルに限ったことではありませんので、DARに泊まる際はこの点はあらかじめ認識しておいた方が良さそうですね。 ・設備は大分古くなってきました。初日に部屋に入った時にはバスルームからあまり良くない匂いがしていましたが、初日のその時のみでした。 ○総じて 日本のクオリティを求めると「この値段で！？」となるかもしれませんが、ここはタンザニアです。 初日に部屋備え付けのコーヒーを2杯飲みましたが翌日補充されていなかったりします。House Keeperを見つけて「2本ちょうだい」と言いましょう。ここはそういう国です。 そういった意味で、ここを起点にTZを満喫する方にとって、「まずTZを理解し、Adjustする」にはとても良い玄関口になります。 私自身は、次もこのホテルが第1オプションです！

I would not chose to stay in this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone else. On arrival at the hotel at 2pm I was informed that our room (family suite) was not ready (even though the check in time is 2), we waited 45 minutes when one of the staff said she would go and check, came back with a key card for our room, handing it to us whilst not even looking at us as she was too busy talking to someone else - so rude. When we went up there was still housekeeping staff making the bed so we had to wait outside in the corridor. When we went into the room it smelt really badly of damp - the whole hotel had this smell but this was awful. We were only staying for a short while as we had an early flight otherwise we would have moved to another hotel as there would have been no point moving to another room as we could imagine this problem to exist throughout.
