Das Hotel ist sehr nahe zum Fährhafen. Die Umgebung ist aber eher trist. Für die Weiterreise ist es aber ideal gelegen Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und anständig. Man weiss nur nie, ob Hilfestellungen zum Service gehören oder extra bezahlt werden müssen...

Great rooms, great staff...would choise it again on m,y next trips. Only bad point: to get from the ground floor to your room (if located up from 10th), you have to search for the right wing, right lift, right...a bit like a labyrinth)...but one you find it... Book with harbour view!

Freundlich, hilfsbereit und praktisch gelegen für Downtown Aktivitäten oder Sansibar Fähre, etc. Personal ost sehr zuvorkorkommemd und schnell auch bereits bei der Planung und Zusatzwünschen per email. Airport Abholung problemlos.

Perfektes Hotel für Stopover in Dar Es Salaam
Das Hotel Harbour View Suites ist sehr zentral gelegen und eignet sich hervorragend für einen Stopover in Dar Es Salaam, z.B. für die Weiterreise nach Sansibar. Das Ferry Building ist in 3 Gehminuten zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind modern und schön eingerichtet, bieten genügend Platz und sind sehr sauber. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und es gibt ein sehr schönes Frühstücks-Buffet.

Exellent hotell close to the ferrie terminal. We walked from the terminal to the hotell, with some help from google maps it was easy. A litle confusing finding the lobby - its on the 11th floor... the staff was serviceminded and the food in the restaurant was really good. We had a night flight and got the possibility to stay with My son at his room during the day and enjyoing the facilities at site (he was staying an additional night).

Bra sentrumshotell
Hotellet ligger sentralt midt i Dar Es Salam, med utsikt over havnen. Rommene er store og velutstyrte. Alt fungerer bra, bortsett fra TV-tilbudet som er dårlig både i utvalg av kanaler og i billedkvalitet, som gjør flere av kanalene umulige å se på. Restauranttilbudet er bra, men servicen og oppmerksomheten fra betjeningen trenger litt oppgradering.

Dirty Hotel
The room I was initially given was smelly with dirty towels and linen. So the front desk clerk moved me. That room was also dirty so he moved me yet again to a room this time that had no towels. Then they moved me to the 15th floor, where it seemed to be a different hotel. The room was more modern, clean, and the view was awesome. Judging by all the other guests on my floor it appears management reserves the better rooms for Asians/Indians. I personally would not stay at the facility again.

Excellent room. Very nice swimming pool. The hotel restaurant had a terrific view of the harbour, but the food was a bit mediocre. Good service in the restaurant however. We would stay here again.

Comfortable and convenient
Room was clean and spacious. It is very conveniently located, around 200m from the ferry station to Zanzibar. Only downside was that the AC was a little cold but other than that would recommend staying at Harbour View Suites and would stay again!

Best…Room…Ever (of hotels Ove stayed in past 25 y in Tanzania). Chose the Superior Room when booking, which was a fantastic bargain, even at one of the more expensive hotels in Dar. Also added breakfast, which included omelette made to order and good variety of food. Room was huge, with whirlpool, 2 sinks, fridge, and decent/quiet A/C. On ground floor is a casino (which we avoided) and a decent restaurant with huge variety of food (which we relished). Main drawback was they don’t seem to wash the windows outside often; because Dar is dusty in general, the dirt outside the glass hindered the beautiful view.

Stay was disappointing
The hotel was undergoing renovation. They haven’t given the room key also. Every time I have to call the receptionist to assist for opening the door. They have only one master card to open the guest doors.

Excellent hotel with wonderful view on the sea
Harbour View Suites is a pleasant hotel to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Ingot a bigger room with a beautiful view on the sea. Breakfast is fine; not special but adequate with friendly cook who makes tasty Spanish omelet and staff who prepares good tea. Below, at the back, is a nice restaurant with a good menu with food from different continents. Check in went super fast, but checkout bit less as it too more than 15 minutes to get my invoice due to extremely slow restart of their system; staff remained calm. This needs to be addressed by the owners to buy faster computers. I will for sure come back next time.

Trist opphold på et trist hotell
Trodde vi hadde booket 4 stjerners hotell, men viste seg at dette fortjener knappe 2 stjerner. Rommene er store, men trenger renovering, ac fungerer ikke, inne på badene er det dårlig lukt. Frokosten og maten generelt var grei nok, men det tok evigheter før vi fikk menyene, maten og regningen. Det ble et trist opphold i Dar Es Salaam og følte oss ikke velkommen på dette hotellet

Good location
The hotel is near the harbour and in a busy side of town. Most places are easily accessible and you get to walk around the town. It’s on a busy street and no street parking so catching a cab means a short walk to the next block. Wonderful sized rooms and quite comfortable. No robs or house slippers (not good). Breakfast is good with a local flare (very good). I recommend.

Terrible Hotel
Front desk gave me an envelope containing my invoice and change from a cash payment that included no change when opening the envelope while being driven to the airport. After waiting forty mi it’s for drinks from the bar after polite reminders, our gin and tonic actually contained no gin then a cash payment was demanded rather than signing the drinks to a room account. No representation between images of rooms and the actual rooms. Eating here is a food hygiene adventure. The Grand Restaurant in the ground floor shopping mall is a much better, friendlier and health safer option. As I often say when with people whom are not over familiar with travelling on the continent ‘welcome to Africa’ Convenient for the ferry port, better hotels in the CBD.
