Gemütliches Chalet mit guter Anbindung
Preis/Leistung ist sehr gut und wir können das Haus zu 100% empfehlen! Badezimmer alle neu und wunderbar, wenngleich alle sehr klein sind. Zimmer sind alle sehr gemütlich, wenngleich die Matratzenqualität unterschiedlich ist und für Personen über 1.90 die Betten teilweise zu klein sind. Küche ist gut ausgestattet, Kamin produziert schöne gemütliche Atmosphäre, Sofas sind sehr gemütlich, Skikeller ist beheizt, Skibushaltestelle ist 3 Minuten entfernt. Alles wunderbar!

Lovely chalet.
Second year here. Chalet is exactly as described. Very, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Quiet , picturesque location. Easy access to ski bus. Fred, local ski hire shop, very good. Used the well stocked small Carrefour in Moriond for our “supplies”, didn’t seem to be that expensive . We’ll hopefully return.

Wat een fijn huis is Chalet L'Orbeye, een aanrader. Wij waren met 2 gezinnen met kinderen in de leeftijd van 11, 14, 15 en 16 jaar en het chalet was een prima uitvalsbasis voor onze skivakantie. Bushalte vlakbij en een kelder met onder meer een droger voor de skischoenen. En 's avonds lekker zitten bij de houtkachel. Wat een fijn huis!

Thanks for the great review - and delighted that you liked Chalet L'Orbeye. As you mentioned, the free ski bus stop is very close making it very easy to be whisked up onto the slopes, there are ski boot heaters in the boot room and plenty of logs to use on the wood burning fire! Comme vous l'avez mentionné, l'arrêt du ski-bus gratuit est très proche, ce qui facilite grandement l'accès aux pistes, il y a des chauffe-chaussures de ski dans le local à chaussures et de nombreuses bûches à utiliser sur le feu de bois !

Superbe semaine !
Nous venions pour la première fois dans les 3 vallées. La météo a été parfaite durant la semaine, et nous avons passé d'excellents moments sur les pistes. Quant au chalet, il répondait à nos attentes, la pièce à vivre en bas est très agréable.

Eleven off us stayed in the Chalet, three generations of the family. The chalet was clean well appointed and well located for the ski bus. Three of the bedrooms are en suite and are impressive. The route from the airport to the chalet passes SuperU a big supermarket. Top tip place an online order to collect when you transfer. There is a small convenience store in the village. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We got fresh baguettes and pastries every morning. We want to book for next year and even book for the summer to enjoy the scenery without the snow. #Lovely.

Thanks for the wonderful review of Chalet L'Orbeye ! It does have a great location for quickly and easily getting to the slopes, plus good and easy shopping . You are correct - the scenery is fabulous in the summer - plus there is a bathing lake nearby in Bozel, barbeques at Lac Rosiere, and wonderful walks from the village and elsewhere!

Nous (10 personnes) avons passé un très agréable séjour à Saint Bon Tarentaise près de la station de Courchevel. Le chalet était spacieux et bien équipé pour nous tous. C'est cher, mais nous n'avons pas été déçus. Bravo au propriétaire anglais de bien aimer ce coin de France.

Chalet bien situé. Nous étions un groupe de 9 âgés de 7 à 79 ans. Nous avons fait des balades adaptées à tous les âges en profitant des remontées mécaniques et avons passé deux après midi à aquamotion.

L'installation Aquamotion est fantastique en été comme en hiver, se trouvant à seulement 5 à 10 minutes et permettant tout type de détente liée à l'eau - y compris le surf en salle !! Thanks Francoise for your lovely review - yes Chalet L'Orbeye is good for people of all ages! The Aquamotion facility is fantastic in summer or winter, being just 5-10 minutes away, and allowing every type of water related relaxation - including indoor surfing!!

Perfection
As chalets owners we know the pitfalls of renting a property. L'Orbeye is just beautiful. Large enough for a group, small enough to be intimate. I booked it for my Mother, sister and our children, could not have asked for anything more. Little supermarket 5 mins walk for baguettes and croissants, ski bus less than 5 mins away, 5 mins to Le Praz. And Julian a dream to deal with.

Much better than the photos . More spacious than we expected. Very comfortable. A peaceful location with breathtaking views Property information full and accurate. Ideal for the free ski bus to the slopes. We found two supermarkets in Courcheval Moriond which stocked all we needed, the ski bus stops right outside! We are planning a return trip!

What a lovely chalet!
We really liked our stay in Saint-Bon. The chalet is superbe! Very clean, a lot of space, 4 comfortable rooms with own bathroom. Nice kitchen where you can find everything you need. We recommend the raclette from the local shop. It was made with a lot of love and very tasteful. You can also use an equipment from the shop if you do not want to use the one in the chalet. Bus stop to ski was very close. We also loved the fire place in the evening. Everything was perfect!

Wonderful chalet for a family holiday
We had a brilliant week in the chalet. We were a party of 6 adults and 2 young children, and the chalet provided us with everything we needed. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, with great views from the top two bedrooms. The main living area is super cosy with comfy sofas and a wood burning stove. The kitchen is very well stocked, allowing us to cook at home every night. The location is great - just a short walk to the local supermarket, which has everything you need. The bus stop outside is very convenient (once you've looked at the bus schedule), and allowed us to get to the ski area and the other Courchevel villages with no problems. We loved our stay here, and we'd love to come back again some time!

This is our 2nd holiday in the chalet, and was as good as last time, we have had to cancel twice because of covid regulations and every time Julian has been more than fair with sorting everything out. I would highly recommend this chalet for family`s and friends alike. The Walker Family

Cycling stay in St Bon
This was a great chalet for our cycling holiday, very well equipped with very clean bathrooms and toilets with plenty of towels and sheets supplied. We were there to climb some famous Tour De France cols but we also went off the beaten track up to Pralognan and beyond to Rocher de Peche and above Champagny en Vanoise into the beautiful valley above under the Grand Bec summit - those are definitely places you should visit for the awesome views and the chalet was a great base for us, be warned though if cycling there are no flat routes nearby, it's all up or down. There are plenty of hikes nearby as well if you're that way inclined, these are well signed.

Très bon séjour au chalet l'Orbeye
Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine entre amis au Chalet l'Orbeye. Il est idéalement situé, proche de Courchevel, à quelques minutes en navette des premières remontées mécaniques (Courchevel Le Praz). L'arrêt de la navette est situé à quelques mètres en dessous du chalet donc possibilité de ne pas utiliser la voiture de la semaine ! Le Chalet est très confortable et spacieux pour 10 personnes. La pièce de vie est agréable et suffisamment grande pour profiter des repas et des soirées après ski à 10 personnes. Il y a tout l'équipement nécessaire pour passer une bonne semaine à la montagne. Julian est un hôte très agréable et qui répond rapidement lorsque nous avons besoin de le contacter. Je ne peux que recommander ce chalet pour vos vacances entre amis ou en famille !

Nice property, but the owner might hit you with extra cleaning charges
We enjoyed the stay. The room are as described and bed are comfortable, except the hot water stopped after 10pm for 4 nights. That was not very good for those took late showers before going to bed. Location is convenient. However, to our surprise, the owner charged us extra for cleaning for reasons that are subjective and impossible to quantify. We stayed in AirBnb a lot and always have good rating in taking care of the property we stayed. This is the first time we had someone complained about us. Be ware of being hit for extra charges if you choose this property. Thanks Xuming

Dear Xuming, Thanks for your review confirming the great location of Chalet L'Orbeye and that it was as described and comfortable. Immediately after being told about the hot water requirements the issue was fixed. We always respond promptly to the needs of our guests (but sadly these were not advised until the 4th night). Chalet L'Orbeye is professionally cleaned for all our guests. Dated photographs were provided showing the huge amount of extra cleaning required after your party left - especially in the kitchen and some bedrooms. This unfortunate incident has not happened in the last 8 years (as shown in all our other guest reviews) and we're confident future guests will not be affected. Always a pleasure to stay at Chalet Orbeye
Second time we booked at Chalet Orbeye, which says it all ! The chalet is welcoming, warm, and very convenient at the same time. Julian's communication is perfect. Very well located, in St Bon - Courchevel 1100. Although ski lifts were closed because of Covid, this was the opportunity to discover there are plenty of other things to do in Courchevel and surroundings. Thanks again for letting us enjoy holiday at your place Julian. Hope you'll be able to come over to France soon.

Il semble que le mot PARFAIT résume assez bien ce séjour, un chalet magnifique, au calme, très bien équipé. Julian est excessivement sympathique, accessible et réactif. Une vraie joie d'échanger avec lui. Je mettrai un petit bémol, il n'y avait pas de balai-brosse pour les toilettes. Mais c'est un détail ! Merci beaucoup.

C'est super que vous ayez passé de bonnes vacances au Chalet L'Orbeye et merci pour la belle critique. Pendant la pandémie, nous avons revu toutes les procédures de nettoyage pour diminuer les risques - et avons décidé de retirer les brosses des toilettes! L'idée était de réduire le risque de transmission par contact. Désolé, cela n'a pas été mentionné en ces temps très étranges, mais ravi que vous ayez encore passé un bon moment!

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans un chalet très bien situé et bien équipé .Chaque chambre possède un balcon avec une très belle vue. Les sanitaires sont parfaits. Petit bémol, nous ne sommes pas parvenus à accéder aux chaînes TNT françaises alors qu'elles étaient citées dans le descriptif.

Super séjour ! Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir.
Notre séjour s'est très bien passé! Nous étions 7 adultes et 4 enfants et le chalet est suffisamment spacieux pour que nous ne nous sentions pas à l'étroit. Chaque chambre est équipée de sa propre salle de bain, un vrai plus quand nous sommes nombreux ! Idéalement situé, nous avons pu profiter de la région aisément. Tout est parfaitement expliqué pour que notre séjour se passe au mieux. Merci à Juliann. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir dans ce superbe chalet.

Grand bol d'air à la montagne
Ce joli chalet a permis à nos trois couples de vivre ensemble sans être les uns sur les autres car il est très spacieux, décoré avec goût et très propre. Une navette à quelques mètres pour se déplacer dans la station (Le Praz, Courchevelle village ou 1850). Un balcon pour chaque chambre avec deux belles vues sur les montagnes. Nous avions oublié une veste et une montre, dans la journée le propriétaire nous a proposé de nous le retourner par la poste (un grand MERCI). Nous vous le conseillons sans aucune hésitation.

Perfect chalet for a group
We had such a great time at Chalet L'Orbeye, it is the perfect chalet retreat for a group. Julian was really helpful from the moment we made the booking and even allowed early check in to fit in with our early flight arrival time (really appreciated!). We stopped at the supermarket on the way and then had everything we needed for a week's skiing. The Chalet was really well equipped and we used the kitchen constantly. Having linen and cleaning included in the price made such a difference and everything was sparkling clean and great quality. The kitchen was really well appointed and we made good use of it over the week. The log burning stove made the lounge cosy whilst watching a spot of UK TV - great relaxer after a day on the slopes. The ski bus was just down the road and once we mastered the timetable, was a breeze. The ski area was, of course, brilliant and having access whilst in such a good value and luxury chalet was perfect. Thank you Julian for letting us stay in your lovely chalet. We have already recommended it to others as a great base for a holiday.

Tout a été bien pensé pour que chacun y trouve son intimité même si on se retrouve en famille La vue est magnifique Notre bébé a même pu faire de la luge par très loin de la maison Par contre nous avons regretté de ne avoir amener notre crêpière ça manquait Nous avons eu la bonne surprise de découvrir que tout était prévu dans les chambres et salles de bain même la température était parfaite Je suis vraiment satisfaite de ce chalet qui a répondu à toutes mes attentes de mère de famille Merci encore au propriétaire

Just splendid!
From start to finish the booking, communication and quality of the chalet was excellent. The chalet surpassed expectations, it is very well appointed with everything one could wish for and more than large enough to easily accommodate two families. Coming back after a hard day on the slopes we were greeted by a warm and cosy atmosphere. Getting to Le Praz was a breeze on the ski bus which was only a short walk down the lane. The Black Pearl served great pizzas and the shop easily catered for our culinary needs. The ski shop by Fred was also very easy to access and the equipment was of a high standard. Overall, we could not ask for a better experience and we will definitely be back. The only downside is that we had to leave.

Tres joli chalet et localisation très pratique
Chalet très joli, très propre, très fonctionnel (stationnement, et local à ski super appreciable), tres belles vues tout autour, bien équipé et surtout avec une localisation très pratique: 2min à pied de l'arrêt de la navette gratuite vers les domaines skiables, à 5 min en voiture des 1eres télécabine du Praz / Courchevel 1350, 10-15min des supermarchés de Moutiers. Communication fluide avec le propriétaire, merci pour ce joli séjour.

Un très beau chalet
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Courchevel. Le chalet est en tout point remarquable. Spacieux, confortable, rien ne manque, et la qualité, que ce soit pour le mobilier ou les équipements, est au rendez-vous. Disposer d'une salle de bain par chambre est un réel "plus". Et le local à skis, avec sèche chaussures chauffant, est très appréciable. L'arrêt navette est effectivement très proche. Seul bémol, le nombre de navettes "retour" un peu juste, environ une par heure. Mais si l'enneigement le permet, un retour "skis aux pieds" à St Bon est possible, par une piste rouge qui n'est pas très difficile. Nous reviendrons, sans aucune hésitation, et avec grand plaisir, au chalet l'Orbeye pour un prochain séjour à Courchevel.

Fabulous chalet!
Beautifully finished and fitted out chalet. Not always possible to ski back to Saint Bon (1100m) but the ski bus runs regularly from Le Praz and only takes a few minutes.

Alles was schoon!!!! Pannen, bestek, de kamers, douches. Ruim huis. Schoendrogers voor 12 paar schoenen. Fijne banken en bedden. SmartTV voldeed goed. En wifi was aardig goed. Met 9 volwassenen prima te vertoeven. Tips: wat meer koffiebekers. En de stapelbedden iets meer verstevigen tegen bewegen.

Thanks for your great review! It seems one or two coffee mugs have been broken and so we have added new ones so that there are 26 again. We will tighten the fixings on the bunk beds to improve them.

Wonderful Christmas
We had the most amazing Christmas, the chalet was perfect for our family, it was very well equipped for self catering and perfect for the slopes. Everything in the chalet is very high quality from bedding to utensils, the bedrooms and bathrooms were also excellent. The owners have thought of everything a guest could need for a great stay, there were games,books and dvds. We would love to take our family again in the future.

The place to stay at St Bon !
This chalet is absolutly charming and cosy, beautifully renovated and so convenient at the same time !! The views are just amazing when you relax in the leaving room. The chalet is definately bigger than you would expect from the pictures. We were 9 including 4 children from 2 to 13 and never felt "overcrowded"... We had a wonderful time and will come back !! Brian was very helpfull and flexible and made sure everything was perfect from booking to check-out , including earlier check-in.

Superbe chalet
Le chalet l'Orbeye se situe dans le village authentique de St Bon , à 5 min en navette du départ des remontées au Praz. Le chalet est très confortable, la décoration est soignée et tous les équipements de très bonne qualité . Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans ce chalet douillet ou tout est fait pour le confort des locataires (le sèche chaussures de ski particulièrement apprécié). Avoir une salle de bains par chambre est un réel plus . Propreté irréprochable à notre arrivée et poele prêt pour une flambée . Petit conseil si vous prenez des cours à l'ESF , il est plus pratique de monter à 1650 qu'à 1550 car l'arrêt de navette à 1550 est assez loin du front de neige.

Fantastic
The chalet is beautiful..the photos do not do it justice. We were 10 people and there was plenty of space for everyone. The heating was incredible..plenty of hot water, high quality furnishings and everything decorated beautifully. The bus stop is only a 5 min walk away but we chose to use our car. Parking is free in Le Praz. The little supermkt has everything you need. All in all a perfect place to stay.

Our second stay at this wonderful chalet
This was our second time in this beautiful chalet. The ambiance and facilities suit us so well. The position of the chalet is ideal, the free ski bus up to La Praz and Courchevel is easily accessed and runs late into the evening to allow great apres ski and meals out! The village of St Bon is very pretty and the ski hire shop run by Fred is great, open 8 til 8! The shop next door is really well stocked and offers fondue meals although we didn't use this. We used the Black Pearl pizza restaurant who were great and allowed us to take a gluten free base for one of our party! We will definitely book the chalet again!

Really comfortable chalet for a great sunny family ski holiday
One of the most comfortable gite we rented! Everything is there! The rooms were really great with a bathroom each, the living area is big and with all the utilities you could want! All we have to say are positive things!

Amazing Stay in Chalet L'Orbeye
Fabulous house in wonderful location. Julian couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. Very quick to respond to any query we had. House itself was very spacious. Cooking facilities were perfect. Located within 2 min walk of the free ski bus up to La Praz (and other towns). Ski Shop and local supermarket within 5-7 min walk also. Saint Bon itself is very quiet. All night life is in La Praz and other Courchevel towns. But bus runs until circa 2am, so no problem in finding your way home.

Excellent !
We rented this Chalet for a Ski holiday in family (4 couples). It was a very nice holiday thanks to the chalet, and its location at the same time not far from the slopes, but also in a charmant village. Some members of the family did not want to ski 6 days, so having a nice place was important too. The chalet It has 4 very comfy bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. Everything was perfectly clean, including beds and towels. There was bread and other stuff when we arrived. Particularly a lot of non-perishable product already there. It was just perfect. The location You MUST visit the high parts of Saint Bon, it is beautiful. The "black pearl" pizzera of Saint Bon is not just an average Italian place, it is a very nice decorated, very local, restaurant with a very good ambiance and good prices. The bus takes really 5 minutes to go to Courchevel le Praz, the first lift. And the stop is 50 meters maybe from the Chalet. But (like most bus services I guess) in the morning the bus tends to arrive 3 minutes before the timetable (it passed right in front of us once) and in the afternoon up to 15 minutes late. In our opinion, there was not enough bus, and they were quite crowded. A little advice, to come back if you don't want to wait in the cold it may be better to take the bus at Courchevel 1850 where they start from and the stop is nearer the slopes. Using the car was absolutely not faster though and did not lead to less walking with ski shoes. We could only use the Saint Bon slope once to come back to the chalet due to the snow. Courchevel Of all station of the three valleys, Courchevel is the nicest and less crowded. Val thorens is quite ugly due to its high altitude leading to no trees and a view full of white, rocks and electric infrastructure (and iced snow), Les menuires is a very big block of concrete in the 60's style like a Parisian suburb social building, and Meribel is so crowded that it's more slalom on moving targets than skiing. I guess it is less crowded probably due to its reputation of being a very expensive station for rich people. Apart from a few Channel or others shops quite unusual in a ski station, it is a totally normal place where if you look just a little you'll find usual price (for a ski station...). Traps are easy to catch... This chalet and other accommodations below Courchevel 1850 are also in a normal price range. But please maintain the reputation :p We want to discover other domains but we'll certainly come back.
