„My family of 4 and 2 friends stayed for GVSU family weekend. It was a nice place to retreat close to campus. It was a very clean and quiet place on the river. My son and I enjoyed the kayaks. Host was very nice and had great communication:)“

„House was great, you can walk down the steps & literally get in the water of Lake Michigan. There are a lot of steps to get down there so not for someone with walking issues. House is cute, clean & has a great deck to sit out on & excellent lake access. Location is very rural & literally have to drive down dirt roads & hills to get to the house. Nothing serious but I was surprised. “

„ A group of us stayed here and absolutely loved the house and the property!! Host was communicative and understanding, house was clean. If you do not have a car just know you will need to carve out time to wait for Ubers/taxis! But this is worth it with the seclusion of the house :) would recommend to anyone! „This home, is by far, one of the best rentals we’ve stayed in. It has everything and it was pristine clean. My husband and I brought our soon to be 16 year old daughter, and 3 of her friends for the weekend to celebrate her birthday for a weekend in September. „Location perfect. Across the street from a park. Within easy walking distance of Pierre Marquette Beach and even closer to another nice smaller beach- the Cove-where the water is a little warmer. Beach restaurant also very close. Spent a lot of time on the deck of the property. On the channel between Lakes Michigan and Muskeegon, so great place for walks. Owner met us there and was easy to communicate with.“

„The Lampost exceeded expectations. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful lakefront property. Amazing family memories were made watching the sunset each night over Lake Michigan, to watching the kids enjoy the private beach and (mostly) calm “ocean”. The wooded entrance to the property was a bonus that allowed us to sit around the fire on the cool evenings. The house accommodated our 3 families (6 adults, 6 kids) with room to spare. We left hoping we are able to visit again.“

„All aspects of this property met our expectations except for the bedroom situation. The property is listed as 5 bedrooms, but only one bedroom (new addition) has full walls. The other 4 bedrooms have open rafter ceiling which makes each room connected as far as noise is concerned. If you are traveling with other couples, this may not be advantageous. That being said, the location is great and the view from the deck is lovely. Jay is also a very gracious host. “
