When I booked this resort I didn't know that the hotel was under renovation, so when we arrived at the hotel there was no one to assist us, but there was a sign so we drove to another hotel that is part of the same group, the Living Water resort spa. We were attended to there and the attendant treated us very well and we stayed at this fantastic hotel. The Living Water Resort Spa is very well structured, has a wonderful restaurant, swimming pool, hot tub, golf, marina and other entertainment. We loved our vacation at this Resort, we will definitely go back there.

Check in was smooth, friendly, but the property is under a huge construction so the surrounding is messy and muddy. The wing that was open is ok, rooms spacious, but no make up service for bed, linens, etc. No dining onsite.

hotel was under renovation and led to most of the parking spots being taken up by work areas, as well as sea containers. lot of mud was left all around the walk areas and driveway. They are not maintaining or keeping up the appearances on the outside of the building at all. There’s one pond in the back that is now covered in garbage and other array of nature that has fallen in and is not being cleaned. The construction area is completely open to the public in the back of the building. The room was fairly clean, bright, and was not smelly For a pet friendly room. What we didn’t like about the room was that the AC would only go to 72, but would not keep the room any colder than 23.7°. It was colder outside. The room got very muggy and was too hot for sleeping. I stayed with my grandmother and my mother for a special girls trip, so when we were that uncomfortable that late at night I was not going to make them get dressed to have somebody come to the room and not actually fix anything. When I told staff in the morning about the issue we had they asked did I report This issue to staff before I was trying to check out. I informed them that I did not because of those reasons, and that I was checking out well before check out. So that should assist in fixing it for the person that was to stay in that room. I was not offered any goodwill for the issue. Booked a pet friendly room, but was not told I’d have an extra $50 a night.

I was aware that the property was doing renovations,however everywhere was dusty,unclean,rocks and dirt on the floor,the view from the room was constructed area so we kept the window closed at all times. The noise of construction started from morning so we couldnt sleep in !!! Also our room was next to the reception and we could hear people walking around all the time and passing. Unfortunately our stay was unpleasant and not worth the price. However staff was very nice but not worth the price at all

We asked the receptionist to get us the refill for shampoo, conditioner and hand soap liquid. Nobody came to room for that they only got us toilet paper as we asked.

We booked a king bed and a couch area. We got a room with no couch. They kindly moved us to a 2 queen beds. But it would have been nice to have our sitting area we booked. Just space for our daughter to play. Other that nice hotel!

Like many have said the place is under construction. Cheap rate thru Expedia caught our attention. The rooms look like a blind person painted them. Many of the Renos to the current rooms look cheap and done by unqualified people. Ok to stay for a night but it’ll be better after the renovation and expansion are completed. Looks a long way off.

Under construction which was not advertised. It’s very old and outdated and doesn’t match advertising at all. It’s a 3 star at best - far from a. 4 rating. Bed was terrible. We don’t stay as it was too dirty. Had to still pay for room And stayed elsewhere. Would never use Expedia again or book at that location.

The hotel is going through renovations\construction, so we expected some debris and inconvenience. The room was recently updated, according to staff, however it was lipstick on a pig. The walls had water damage, the bed frame was falling apart, the carpet look old and worn out. On the plus side, the nightly room cost was $130 all in, the mattress was great and the bedsheets and bathroom were clean. The staff also allowed us a late checkout. We did not have a chance to use the pool or hot tub.

All in all we had a good stay. The room was quiet and the beds were pretty comfortable. The building was a little rough around the edges, and the bed sheets could do with a decent clean. Collingwood is a great place to stay, lots of really great places to eat and close proximity to the ski hill (the purpose of our 2 night stay).

Staff are so lovely at the property, very easy check in and out. Rooms clean and it’s very quiet considering the renovation beside the property.
