"A typical older Victorian hotel, but better than expected at that price! We had a superior twin, which was on the second floor and had a great view through two large windows of the promenade and the sea. The room was big, the beds were comfortable, linen and towels were all new and the room was always clean, plenty of coffee and tea in the room, and all the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. We are a small misunderstanding when checking in which was quickly rectified. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet and fried or poached eggs on demand. The coffee was good and the bar was nice too. We will definitely come again"

"Überteuerte Unterkunft in renovierungsbedürftigem Haus. Das Zimmer selber war bereits renoviert, aber leider die Betten noch nicht ausgetauscht, sehr schlechte Matratzen. Hotel sehr schön direkt am Meer gelegen. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit guter Auswahl verschiedener frisch zubereiteter Eierspeisen."

"Das Hotel befindet sich in direkter Lage zum Meer, etwas frisch aber schöner Kiesstrand.Der Ort ist zu Fuß über die schöne Promenade zu erreichen, ein kostenloser Meerpool liegt wenige Meter vom Hotel aus rechts.Das Haus hat seinen eigenen Charme, etwas hellhörig, kann aber auch am Zimmer 226 liegen, direkt neben dem Lift."

"The hotel is situated in a beautiful area. The small village has 1 or 2 dinner possibilities around the market place and is charming - at least the center is. The hotel could use a lick of paint here ant there and you see that the owners do their best, but the castle is very large and surely there is much to do. They have tried to connect modernity and antique, of which I like the latter more. I visited the fitness studio, which was ok. There is a restaurant in the hotel with good food and cool beer. Be prepared to meet sheep lingering outside when you walk to your car. When we were there, there were enough parking spaced."
