"The shuttle service from the airport to the hotel was 45 minutes late and the outside temperature was 2 degrees. After the second unsuccessful phone call, a hotel employee told us to look for a taxi. The hotel has around 900 rooms and only offers a small smoking area for smokers outside by the entrance. The drinks in the minibar were one free each, which I found pleasant. The room we got had somewhat older furnishings. But it was quiet until the next morning when, from 8 a.m., we heard furniture being moved in the next room and were woken up by it. The bathroom had a special surprise in store for us when we showered. The shower head flew out of its holder when we pulled it up and could not be fastened again. The staff were friendly and they helped us in German, which made things much easier. The breakfast, however, was divided into several categories, the cheapest for 5 euros per person for a cup of coffee and two slices of dry bread, or the most expensive option with a buffet for 22.50 euros per person, which I think is the normal price for Madrid. Overall, I would have expected more from a 4-star hotel. But for 170 euros for that night, the overall impression was satisfactory."
