Hübsches Hotel in der alten Stadt
Das Personal ist super hilfsbereit und erfüllt einem alle Wünsche! Es gab einen kostenlosen Shuttle zum Flughafen und zum Nachtmarkt! Man hat hier und da den Eindruck das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber das verleiht dem Hotel einen noch größeren Charm

Zentrale Lage, nettes Personal, sehr gute Küche im Restaurant preislich ok Einzig der gebuchte Transfer sowohl zum Hotel als auch zum Flughafen war dem Hotel nicht bekannt und musste separat bezahlt werden was ärgerlich war

Perfect stay
Wonderful stay in Chiang Mai within the Rim Resort and the nice team! Always supportive and there if neaded. The breakfast was delicious and the variety (we stayed there for three breakfast times) was perfect to get an good taste of Thai food!

Zentral, aber ruhig
Sehr schönes kleines Hotel am Rande der Altstadt. Zimmer mit allem nötigen ausgestattet. Auf den ersten Blick sieht es schmuddelig aus, das liegt aber an den nicht verputzten Wänden. Es erzeugt einen Anschein von "Patina". Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, spricht aber nicht viel Englisch. Der Pool im Innenhof ist klein, aber sehr schön. Das Frühstück im Restaurant ist in Ordnung.

Very poor breackfast buffet, no choice, everything unsufficient, cleaning staff doing it very loud in the morning around the pool, no mosquitoes prevention, unsuitable for people on roll chairs, no privacy in the rooms on the first level because of the close distance to the pool and main guests' traffic, reception's staff not experienced with poor command of English,if you want to approach the hotel for the first time by a car, Google Navigator won't take you right there, i.e. the address is not correctly positioned.

Ideal am Rande der Altstadt gelegen.
Sehr schönes kleines Boutiquehotel mit Pool und Baumbestand in der Mitte des als Viereck angelegten Hotelkomplexes. Zimmer zur Mitte sind angenehm ruhig. Alle Bereiche der Altstadt sind bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen. Etwas bessere Englischkenntnisse des Personals wären wünschenswert.

Colonial Style Resort within the old town
The resort includes several 2 story buildings of clonial style for the rooms, the reception and the restaurant located round the small pool. Rooms are quiet despite the resort is located at the ring road and within the old town. In the evening the hotel offers free transport to the night bazar which is on the other side of the old town. Room furnishing is of nice taste however not brand new. Breakfast comes tasty and varied continental and Thai, though for luch and dinner you can find higher class elsewhere.

Ausgezeichneter Service
Wir waren super zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt im „The Rim“. Lage: Im inneren Altstadtkern. Ideal um all die Tempel zu besichtigen und unweit von Bar’s und Restaurant’s. Gut mittels Tuk-Tuk zu erreichen. Sonntagsmarkt gut zu Fuss machbar. Einkaufszentrum ebenfalls um die Ecke. Hotel: Traditionell gehalten, einfach wunderschön gestaltet. Nicht ein weiteres hochmodernes Betonhotel. Restaurant: Waren von A bis Z zufrieden. Das Frühstück war variantenreich und immer top aufgefüllt. Es lohnt sich im Hoteleigenen Restaurant zu essen. Die Speisen sind super zubereitet, der Service aufmerksam und das Essen kommt zusammen. Nicht das zweite Menu jeweils 10 Minuten später. Super, Danke dafür!!! Service: Äusserst zuvorkommend. Hilfestellung wo nötig. Günstiger Airporttransfer. Wir würden jederzeit wieder im The Rim einchecken!

Das Hotel ist für einen Aufenthalt in Chiang Mai absolut zu empfehlen. seine günstige Lage ist ein ausgezeichneter Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung aller Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ich habe im Rim Resort 3 herrliche Tage verbracht. Personal ist sehr hiilfbereit und spricht sehr gutes englisch. Die Zimmer sind recht gross und mit allem notwendigen eingerichtet. Das Pool ist klein aber fein, und es kann bis 11oo gefrüchstückt werden. Das Buffet ist nicht riessig aber es wirdimmer wieder frisch aufgefüllt . ein Hotel das ich jedermann weiterempfehlen kann.

Our bar is open daily at the restaurant terrace but for the pool bar we service by on call order and the pool bar is closed at 17.00 pm to avoid any disturbance noise to rooms around the bar. Regarding to English TV Channel pro grams that you are missed with this service, We have to apologize that our staff did not inform you well enough for our smart tv facility in the room. The TV is connected to the internet for supporting any online entertainments i.e. youtube, netflix and INFOSAT android TV box which has a variety international channels such as CNN, BBC or CNA. We do sorry for our miscommunication and cause you feel that we are not good value for money. Very Disappointing
Just go somewhere else. The whole property is very dilapidated and nothing like the pictures. It looks like it has been shut down for years. It was only us and one other couple staying during our time. The room was OK but there were ants everywhere. The staff was very nice and took care of the ant situation when we told them. Breakfast is very small but good. However there were ants all over in the cereal. Eggs made to order. They offer a shuttle service to and from the airport which was nice. I never write a review and hate saying bad things but I thought this one was necessary so other people don’t make the same mistake.

The Rim is well located to explore the old town with many cafes and restaurants nearby. Our room was spacious but the bathroom was in need of a refurb. Mouldy tiling in the shower was not very welcome! The pool, although rather cold, was a great way to cool off at the end of the day!

A great boutique hotel
A really warm welcome and everything you need. Loved the free airport shuttle and night bazaar shuttle. Free cultural activities by the pool each afternoon (some edible) and good facilities in the room. It does have some ‘rustic’ charm and for some might be too far from the main attractions (around 10-15 minute walk) but we were very happy.

We stayed five nights. This is a good hotel. The staff are very polite and attentive, service is excellent. The staff go out of their way to help with any queries. We were travelling with our ten month old baby, and were given a baby cot and allowed to check in several hours early. This was a really nice touch. There was very noisy building works going on in the building adjacent to our hotel during our stay. There was also planned maintenance work going on at the hotel. We were not told of this in advance of us arriving. The manager told us that the building works next door should have finished in December, and were running late. He had also been told that the builders would not start work until the afternoon; they started each morning at around nine thirty. Our room was immediately adjacent to the building site, but we were offered a new room the opposite side of the hotel, and a discount on the first few nights when we had been affected. This was hugely appreciated by us. The rooms are immaculately clean, and well presented with lovely balconies overlooking the pool. Breakfast is excellent and served in the adjacent restaurant (which seems pretty much abandoned at other times of the day). The location is good for most sites being just in the old city. Most good restaurants are a short tuktuk or taxi ride away. The pool unfortunately is very cold.

This property is our favorite in Chiang Mai! The staff is absolutely unbelievable! They work extremely hard to serve our every need and are incredibly kind and helpful. From the check in staff to the restaurant staff, and even the drivers of the shuttle, their customer service is unmatched in the region. Thank you for your continued incredible service! By the way, I have stayed at this hotel now a number of times and have had the same incredible service every time - this shows remarkable consistency which I greatly appreciate. I can rely on this hotel staff for a remarkable experience in any season.

May I politely inform that The Rim Resort Chiang Mai we operate a monthly pest control regime using the services of a professional outsourced company to eliminate the problem as much as is humanly possible. The staff were extremely helpful Our room was very well designed and roomy. We couldnt fault anything at this hotel The breakfast and resturant food was of a high standard
