Gerne wieder
Das Hotel besteht aus zwei Häusern, die durch eine Brücke über den Kanal verbunden sind. Unser erstes Zimmer war etwas dunkel und laut, die Straße ging direkt vor unserem Fenster vorbei. Am Folgetag erhielten wir ein ruhiges und sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit Blick auf den Kanal, in dem wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt haben. Das Frühstück war sehr englisch, Wurst, Käse oder frisches Obst kamen nicht vor. Die Innenstadt von Chester, der Bahnhof und der Busterminal war in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen, sodass unser Auto auf dem Parkplatz des Hotels stehen bleiben konnte. Hervorzuheben ist das sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal. Wir haben uns hier gut ausgehoben gefühlt.

Overall good hotel. Bit expensive bearing in mind no toiletries or bottled water. Also car parking was additional. Restaurant could do with a spruce up it’s a bit dated. Staff friendly and courteous.

The hotel is amazing, great and friendly staff, rooms are wonderful but looking slight tired now but everything worked in the rooms. I would fully recommend people to stay at this hotel. The one downside the wi-fi was very slow and struggled to connect sometimes so if your on a business trip keep that in mind.

Booked a business room, did not have a USB connection. Note on bathroom wall stated use shower mat but was not one in room, when i asked at reception they stated you have to ask for one. Toilet paper so thin very cheap.

We really enjoyed our 4 nights at Mill Spa. The location was brilliant for walking into Chester centre. The rooms were adequate albeit cosy. Everything we needed with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The breakfast was more than adequate and the dining room pleasant. The bar area, spa, swimming and gym facilities were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Car park was a bit cosy and often full. We also found the area around the hotel difficult to navigate to start with. After a day or two we had it down pat. Would definitely stay here again. A great stay and very central for touring.

The hotel is a good city hotel, not plush. The spa is excellent but the bar is too much a sports bar with no comfortable seating.

Bed not comfortable - hard. Steak meal so tough as to be inedible - would have complained but too tired. Staff unfailingly polite and helpful. Barge trip has since been recommended to us which we would like to go on but would probably not stay at the hotel again.

The food was excellent we had the breakfast, service was very good the lady on reception was very knowledgeable and very helpful friendly, the hotel seemed a little tired and requires a refurb as did the room we stayed in but overall would recommend had a fab time

Would have left 5 stars,but the extractor fan in bathroom was continuously on. Did go to reception but nobody came to fix it. Other than that we had a fantastic time and would definitely return,as long as that fan was fixed

Hotel was good ate in restaurant first night but it was same menu the next night so ate somewhere else. The older guy in restaurant for breakfast was rude and did not put our order through for extra coffees. Breakfast basic. It could have had a coffee machine where you could get different coffees like in other hotels.

Staff were brilliant!!! Nothing was too much, helpful, polite and professional. Everyone, including the cleaning stay said good morning. The spa was lovely.

The room we were allocated was extremely noisy. Right next to a busy road. We coukd have thrown a stone out of the window and hit a car, it was so close. Plus the kitchen staff congregate outside underneath outside of the window. I understand that the hotel is in a city centre but warn your guests about the noise and the windows should definitely be triple glazed which it wasn't. The bathroom was very dated. The staff were nice and the breakfast was great though.

We booked a Business Double room, and it was quite small, with dated furnishings. The bathroom was very cold with a small bath and no towel rail. The bedroom was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The car park was full when we arrived, but a space became available later. The location was a short walk from the city centre. Not picturesque but adequate. Breakfast was a fairly basic buffet, with a few options. I felt it was overpriced for the quality of room, but maybe that's what to expect in Chester.
