„Beautiful cabin in beautiful setting. Cabin was well furnished, had well stocked kitchen, and modern amenities. There were lots of attractions within 30 minute, scenic drives from the cabin such as Tanglewood, Monument Mountain, and other Berkshire and Columbia County attractions. Avid cyclists will find smooth roads with good shoulders and light traffic. As noted n another review, there is a rail line about one mile from the cabin, thus inevitable noise on occasion. „Cheryl’s place is a lovely cottage near the lake. We loved everything they did to make our stay more enjoyable, from many pairs of water shoes (definitely helpful for swimming!) to folding chairs, floats, and many different coffee-making options. We also loved the wind chimes and napping bed on the screened-in porch.The swimming was good, although it’s a busy lake with many motor boats. We had some long swims and the water was warm / comfortable. It’s best to swim near shore to avoid the boats. ...

„The location of the house was very near for food and supplies,yet very private. The inside was very clean and well kept. We enjoyed the quietness and surrounding grounds with views of local wild life. The things that we did not like was the musty - moldy smell when we first got there. Every time you used the water it smelled. Red light on fridge for changing filter. Bought spring water to use for drinking, coffee, and cooking. All reported to host upon departure.“
