„When you walk in the door the first word is “wow”! It’s really nice, clean and cozy. It’s like being home. The refrigerator, freezer and cupboards were stocked with food, drinks and snacks! My bf and I just kept saying wow! The super sweet host did not forget about pets with treats, bowls, etc! My dog made herself at home too! We came from Wisconsin and will definitely stay there again!“

„This house was such a pleasant surprise!! We were in town for surgery of a family member and its convenience to the hospital was perfect. The space allowed us to come and go at the hospital and was great for me to get some work done in between. Comfortable beds and all the amenities of home.“

„We had a lovely stay at the house. It works nicely for meditation retreats or bigger groups of adults getting together for a reunion. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and it was a very relaxing weekend. There was a bit too much chlorine in the hot tub, and it caused some skin issues for us, but the host said he would test the levels and take care of it for the next guest.“

We utilized the formal parlor to have a cup of coffee and visit. We enjoyed the informal family room to watch tv. Beds were super comfy in all the rooms. Check in and check out was so easy! „Thanks so much for a very nice place to stay for my family, when we gathered with our extended family . We needed a few more bedrooms to sleep. Your place was very acomodating and very nicely deocorated for Christmas. The only thing is that the carpet was very soiled in the down stairs. I understand when you have a wedding party you would have a lot of tracking in on the carpet. It was a very nice quality carpet, just hopefully you clean it once in while. Thanks for a great stay. „We stayed here for a weekend away with friends for a Hawkeye football game. Price was fair, owner was easy to reach and responded to questions about places nearby to eat after a long drive. Three bathrooms, 3 bedrooms with linens provided was great for less to pack. Neighborhood is a little run down but don't let that deter you from this home! We would stay here again.“

„Came for sons graduation. Setting is beautiful and only fifteen minutes from downtown Iowa City. House had a number of interesting antiques and was comfortable. Loved the screen porch“

„Great property for family get together and celebrations located close to University of Iowa East side. The house is very well stocked and clean with lots of thoughtful and homey extras. Plenty of area to visit with friends and family while enjoying the outside patio and fire pit. Host is amazing.“

„We just spent last weekend at the lake cabin and we would recommend it. We live in the country and enjoy the solitude and quietness. The only sound we heard at the cabin were the geese (which I love). We kayaked, fished and paddleboarded. Took our 2 dogs and it was nice not to have to tie them up. Pretty cool to have the little lake on one side and the river on the other. Adam was a great host.“

„What a wonderful property! If you love to fish, this is the place for you. We caught tons of fish during our stay. Nice bluegills, enormous bass and even a catfish. The sights and sounds of nature were amazing. The cabin was homey and large enough for my family of five. The shuffleboard table and poker table were our entertainment after the long day of fishing. Just an all around pleasant experience!“

The cabin was very welcoming, had what we needed, and had the peace that was very welcomed during this difficult time. We were close to events and family in Solon, but had a quiet, peaceful place to let down. The lake was a short walk from the property, with a convenient trail for walking, running, and enjoying nature.“
