Chalets in Castle Douglas suchen

„Older property but well maintained.“

„Room were clean, but the best times of this place already have passed. Service didn’t exist much. We arrived late and a document and keys were at the reception. We informed before that we arrive around 11 pm. Nobody was available at reception to welcome us and show our rooms. We spend about 1/2 hour to figure out were our rooms were, exploring the entire ground floor area and first floor. I am very mindful with peoples time and would expect a premium experience at a premium hotel. The golf ...

„Zentral gelegen - Parkplatz hinter dem Haus. Angenehme Atmosphäre, da die Familie das Haus führt. Gutes Frühstück.“

„The hotel is very nice, with lovely rooms and beautiful surroundings. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful, although they often had to juggle multiple roles at once, which sometimes made them difficult to find. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay, and if I return to Castle Douglas, I would happily stay here again.“

„Excellent service from the ladies who run the inn“

„A lovely county castle surrounded by Belted Galloway cattle and sheep. The castle grounds have a fruit trees, herbs and vegetables. Tobias is truly a wonderful gentleman and host. He prepared an amazing breakfast both mornings which consisted of local flavors ( haggis, blood pudding, potato cakes, eggs, bacon and sausage). Tobias gave us a tour of the chapel and grand hall with interesting history. Baron James prepared a formal dinner which was also delicious. We are Maxwell descendants by DNA ...

„Worth a visit. Plenty to explore in the area and nearby towns. “

„We stayed just the one night. The staff were very friendly and eager to provide good service. We enjoyed a pleasant drink on the lovely patio overlooking the river followed by a tasty meal in the bar. Breakfast was excellent . Our room was fairly basic with quite a small ensuite . The WiFi was good. We were pleased with our stay which represented good value.“

„Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Weniger Verpackungsmüll beim Frühstück wäre schön. Ansonsten alles gut.“

„Unfortunately another disappointing night at the Inn. Went for a meal, again staffing issues with chefs resulting in quite a few things not being available. I thought there was a wedding function going on as every now and then loud music would blast through the restaurant area but it was just the music coming from the kitchen area as the doors swung open and closed. Sadly in need of a makeover.“

„Hotel is not maintained well. Room is more or less clean. Only little dust. Everywhere scratches at the wall. Not working lamps. Mold in the shower as the air system is not working well in the bathroom. Restaurant is a desaster. The food is ok - nothing special. But the staff is not capable at all to manage the restaurant. Dirty tables, long waiting times, do not remember what you have ordered. And the restaurant is expensive on top. Never again.“
