The owners were fantastic, locale was perfect for rides to Cooperstown and Lake Placid. House was great. Clean, 3 queen + beds…short kayak to the lake for a swim….. Do yourself a favor and stay here for your upstate NY MC trip… Oh….they had plenty of firewood for a great fire at night!“

„Rustic, authentic Adirondack Lake House with plenty of room for the family. Plenty of outdoor equipment including a great dock to fish off of. Indoors was cozy with plenty of warming options on chilly nights and rainy days. Kitchen was well equipped and very spacious. Multiple dining areas including a very nice sun porch. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for authentic lake house experience.“

Be forewarned, though, that renters are required to provide their own sheets, bath towels, and kitchen towels (which was not mentioned in the listing).“

„We had a wedding about 10 minutes from the property and it was perfect for us and our college kids to meet up. Spacious and a wonderful, quiet location for us to relax before the wedding. Plenty of space for us all to get ready and sleep comfortably. The back deck was great for us to have a few cocktails and enjoy to beautiful weather. Our stay here made our time together relaxing and enjoyable.“

We were hosting a party at Tinney's Tavern in Lake Desolation and the South Shore House was a perfect place to retreat to at the end of the evening! Kyle was super responsive to any questions we had. „We were looking for a quiet, peaceful, lakefront cottage and Firefly Lodge delivered. We enjoyed coffee on the dock every morning and were joined by the ducks and loons. The highlight for us was watching the supermoon rise over the lake. It seemed like you could reach out and touch it. The owners were great and made sure we had no problems. We hope to be able to visit again“
