Freundliches Personal, zentral gelegen, ruhig, reichhaltiges Frühstück. Ich startete hier meine Wanderung auf dem Hadrians Wall Path. Gute Ausgangslage, nahe von Bahnhof (5min) und Busstationen (10min). Jederzeit wieder👍

zentral gelegenes gutes, sauberes Hotel
We stayed two nights there and felt very comfortable. Clean, big rooms, friendly staff. Just 5 Minutes walking distance from the center and some good bars and (indian) restaurants just arround the corner. Good protected parking lot. Just, like in many hotels in Scotland, the WLAN connection is lausy and weak, mainly off during the evening, i guess when more than 3 people log in the net colapses.

Comfortable enough for one night. Dinner was tasty, staff friendly. Disappointed that the room had a stench of urine in the carpet (possibly from a dog), the attempt to air the room by opening the window was futile. Had to sleep with fan on to dispel the smell to be able to sleep.

Decent city centre accommocation. Car park difficult to find because the bit of street it is no-entry from one direction, and there is another huge car park on the same street.

Having a rest
We gave stayed at this ibis many times but neverbeen in a room next to the lift which was very noisy at times during the our 2 night stay.

Uncomfortable vacation
On arrival we were 30 minutes early before our check in time. we were offered an earlier check in if we paid an advance of £10. We were given a quiet room at the back of the hotel. Saturday night was not quiet! the car park seemed to be full of very noisy revellers until 4am.Sunday night was quieter! Although the rooms were clean. Some of our shopping went missing from our room on our return from exploring the city. It was not worth a lot of money but left us feeling uneasy.

Sadly, if you book a room with the intention of sleeping soundly through the night and waking refreshed then the Ibis is not for you. The room, staff, breakfast and parking are all good. The problem is the Walkabout pub directly next door. Some nights it is open until 4am and at chucking out time, its patrons congregate outside for the odd fight and who can scream the loudest contests. I stayed on a Monday night when it was open until 3am and was woken up on several occasions. The same happened on a previous stay. Not the fault of Ibis, they try very hard in the circumstances.

Good visit. Sure you hear this continuously but the nightclub noise was an issue. Ear plugs helped though

My search was for the Birmingham area. I didn’t check where you had booked me in at but all other properties was in Birmingham but the property you would check me at was in Carlisle. I didn’t check and when I got to the property last night which I thought was my property in Birmingham what is actually in Carlisle I wasn’t happy so I paid for a place in Carlisle. Wish I actually thought was in Birmingham you tricked me. Basically are you all the time I’m not happy at all

The room was incredibly cold. There was no obvious way of getting in warmer. The thermostat on the wall did nothing. The quilt on the bed could have been thicker. The hot water was warm, not hot enough for a shower if we wanted one.

Felt like student accomodation.
The room absolutely stank of weed on the first night, turned up the ventilation system to clear it and it got worse. Was coming through the ventilation. Told reception in the morning, and they didn't care at all. Just said nothing we can do. The second evening it stank of cigarette smoke. cigarette butts on the floor in the corridors by the lifts. rubbish on the floor down the corridors. Excellent soundproofing to the street which was much appreciated but the door to the room might as well have been made of paper for all it did to reduce the noise of people shouting in the corridors at night. Every place has a bad day but from the reaction of the staff, this seems to be the norm.
