War insgesamt in Ordnung. Das Zimmer war allerdings unangenehm heiß, ohne Klima und man konnte die Fenster nicht aufmachen. Beim Frühstück musste ich auch nach langem Warten einen Tee bestellen.

Leicht enttäuscht!!
Das Zimmer im dritten Stock war etwas klein und das Fenster konnte nicht richtig geschlossen bzw. geöffnet werden. An einem Tag war das Toastbrot verschimmelt und auch der Lift war kaputt.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. It was very unfortunate that our lift broke down, however also unforeseeable and this was rectified in the quickest time possible. I will pass on your comments about breakfast and this will certainly be looked into.

In die Tage gekommen, doch durchaus empfehlenswert
Ich hatte geschäftlich in Carlisle zu tun und nutzte das Hotel ausschließlich als Bed & Breakfast. Trotzdem die Bausubstanz einer energetischen Sanierung bedürfte, war mein Zimmer recht modern möbliert, sauber und ordentlich. Auch das Bad war sauber, gleichwohl waren die Installationen nicht mehr zeitgerecht. Getrennte Wasserhähne für warmes bzw. kaltes Wasser sind schon eine kleine Herausforderung für jene, die moderne Mischbatterien gewöhnt sind. Gleiches gilt für die innovative "Doppelverglasung" der Fenster, die man sicherlich hätte zweckmäßiger hätte umsetzten können. Wer sich aber an diesen charmanten Kleinigkeiten nicht stört, findet hier ein nettes Hotel im Zentrum von Calisle, mit Bahnanschluss und hervorragendem "English Breakfast".

The hotel is located just out the Railway Station Door. We were able to drop our bags, as we arrived earlier in the day. Convenient to see the Cathedral & Castle. Staff was very helpful, I take a medicine that must be refrigerated and they stored it for me. The real problem is the There is no A/C. Our room had the full afternoon sun and was over 80 degrees. They did provide a fan, but it was a sauna. We did go down to the lounge which was comfortable. This hotel did have an elevator, big plus with lots of luggage. Even with our windows open we did not hear the trains.

Stayed here and ‘upgraded’ to a suite. They have tried to update the room but a wardrobe and two lamps from ikea just aren’t cutting it. The hotel downstairs is fine, looks modern and the reception staff were efficient. On the way to our room there were several walls damaged with dampness and the carpet was threadbare on the stairs. Our ‘suite’ stank of mould and needed a good airing. We sprayed some perfume and deodorant and figured we were only using it to sleep and would make do. I went to use the avocado bathroom and noticed several silverfish beasties crawling around the bath. Managed to get to sleep only to be awoken at 3.30 firstly by the seagulls then there barriers from the station were collected whilst the lorry collecting reversed with the loud warning message. Then it was the bins outside being emptied so by this time it was 6am so we just got up got our things and left. Such a shame but serious money is needing spending to bring this hotel back to a standard

Been to this hotel 3 times ,this hotel is next to train station and bars restaurants,cinema ,shops etc .very pleasant staff ,clean rooms ,only complaint is price of parking £12 a night .

Good but a bit dated and no dinner
The room was comfortable and clean, if a bit dated (mainly the bathroom) and on the cold side. Staff were lovely and breakfast was great but was very disappointed to learn that dinner wasn't available, despite it being advertised on the website. Had to go out in the freezing dark to forage for food :). Would stay again for short stays.

Excellent input stay
The staff where lovely, we had a little trouble with our windo (old building) but staff delt with it perfectly And made out stay fabulous, for an impromptu stay definitely a good choice and wouldn't hesitate to stay again really comfortable bed

Big room and comfy bed, but smelled of smoke
The checkin was easy, the room was big, but people had clearly been smoking in the bathroom. The window didn't open and there was no extractor fan so it smelled very strongly. Given the smell, it felt like the room hadn't been cleaned very well, as presumably a cleaner would have at least sprayed air freshener.
