Sehr nettes Personal, gut gelegen um die Altstadt von Canterbury zu Fuß zu erkunden. Das englische Frühstück war auch toll, und man kann es in familiärer Atmosphäre genießen.

Schönes, innenstadtnahes Hotel
Das Hotel hat Charme und liegt günstig. Wir parkten unseren Wagen auf dem hoteleigenen Parkplatz (praktisch!) und waren dann nach ca. 10 Min. zu Fuß in der Innenstadt mit ihrer berühmten und beeindruckenden Kathedrale. Das Hotelteam war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend; so durften wir auch nach unserem Checkout den Wagen noch für einige weitere Stunden auf dem Parkplatz stehen lassen. Der Pool hat unseren Kindern gut gefallen, im schönen Gärtchen konnten wir angenehm sitzen. Als Zimmer hatten wir das Vierbett-Familienzimmer, das für unseren Zweck und die eine Nacht gut geeignet und recht preisgünstig war. Das Einzelbett für unser jüngeres Kind (9 Jahre) war relativ schmal und etwas "abgerockt". Aber sauber war natürlich alles. Ins W-LAN sind wir leider nicht hineingekommen. Wir haben mehrfach gefragt, aber es gab wohl ein Problem mit dem Router, welches sich nun nicht lösen ließ. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, nebst English breakfast in mehreren Variationen gab es auch noch Müsli und Obst. Wir können das Hotel empfehlen.

Angenehmes Hotel in guter Lage
Bis auf den technischen Zustand der Dusche in Zimmer 9, waren wir sehr zufrieden und unsere Erwartungen wurden sogar in fast allen Punkten übertroffen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier übernachten.

Hotel an unattraktiver und lauter Ausgangsstrasse
Verbrachte aus beruflichen Gründen vier Nächte in diesem Hotel. Ausstattung des Zimmer entsprach weitgehend der Beschreibung, Standard allerdings dem Gebäude entsprechend eher britisch- einfach, eng möbliert, schlecht beleuchtet und allenfalls zum Übernachten geeignet. Personal wenig professionell; Frühstück offiziell ab 8.30 Uhr, wobei man dann erst beginnt, das eher einfallslose Buffet aufzubauen. Pech, wenn man bereits Termine ab oder vor 8.30 Uhr hat! Insgesamt schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, wenn man das SPA nicht nutzen kann.

Great place to stop close to the ports and Eurotunnel. Comfy beds, big enough room. Excellent breakfast, friendly team. Would also make a good base for Canterbury and the area around.

Parking difficult. No elevator, though our bags were carried to our room.Ice not available in bar. Good breakfast. Lovely gardens. Manageable Walk 20 minutes to city center. No restaurants within easy walking distance. A dated hotel with no air conditioning

A nice hotel, perfect walking distance from the town, friendly staff and comfy. It is a little dated and in need of some tlc in places. The radiator in our room made a clicking/dripping noise throughout the night which was also a little annoying. The breakfast in the morning was brilliant and the availability of a car park was great. Would definitely return, perhaps not in that room.

All staff very friendly and helpful especially Rudo. Great breakfasts. . Bonus heated pool but sauna no longer available as advertised on website. Comfy beds. I would suggest booking room in back part of building due to traffic sounds noticeable at the front of building

It's a decent value hotel, clean rooms. Heating works. Indoor heated (but not warm) pool which is nice to relax. Facilities aren't all in perfect working condition but this is totally worth it as it's only minor issues here and there. Within walking distance (15-20 min) of anything central for a much more reasonable price than some other central hotels. Breakfast is super. Plenty of choice in the buffet.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city center and has its own small car park, which is really convenient as parking costs are extortionate in the city. The hotel itself was sparkling clean and the room was a good temperature. The receptionist was polite and helpful although reception was left unattended the next morning and we could not find anyone despite waiting twice and ringing the bell. The breakfast was amazing and they had everything yiu could possibly want or need. All self service apart from the toast and we didn't feel rushed or limited. There was a little noise from the the road but not enough to cause an issue with sleeping. I would definitely consider staying again in the future if needed.

Had a few days getaway to Canterbury nice and near the town centre. The hotel was well presented clean and tidy the breakfast was very nice did miss not having a proper shower as it's a bath set up would stay again .

Nice Hotel conveniently situated
Nice hotel appx 10/15 minute walk to city centre. We were situated in a room in an added building to rear of hotel which was quiet as the main hotel is situated on a busy road. The room was clean but probably in need of a refurb. Buffet breakfast was very good and cannot fault friendliness and helpfulness of the staff

Tired rooms but good location
Good little hotel about 10/15 mins walk to the centre of Canterbury. Rooms a little tired but comfortable bed and nice breakfast. Didn’t use the pool or bar so can’t comment on those. Found room really cold but managed to get the radiator to work - but could still do with a bleed. Tv a little small for size of the room. Really not trying to moan as was all good and what we needed for a night away to wander the city.

Great value for money
Great weekend away in Canterbury, hotel was good value for money and genuine short 15 minute walk to the city centre. Lovely breakfast included and friendly staff. Room was lovely and spacious. My wife did request a hair dryer as there wasn’t one in our room and unfortunately there wasn’t one available but she managed. Would definitely stay again if we come back again.

We had an enjoyable stay at The Canterbury from arrival to departure. Very friendly and polite staff, always happy to assist in any way. Room 11 at the back, spacious, quiet and warm with a comfy bed, nice little swimming pool, great buffet breakfast, perhaps eggs to order would be nice, rather than just scrambled. The hotel is ideally situated for a walk into the city.

Worth a stay .
Breakfast was a Buffett style hash browns , bacon etc also croissants ham cheese . Couldn’t fault it at all . We had a room on the 2nd floor at the front . There were traffic works just down the road and the traffic was abit noisy so take ear plugs . Also a car accident at 1 am so police cars & ambulance. It is a 15 minute walk into the centre of Canterbury . The pool was extremely clean . To be honest it was a lovely stay and the staff are so friendly. I would recommend this hotel and stay again .
