*THERE IS NO FREE PARKING ON SITE - I don't know why neither the property owner nor Expedia can't be bothered to make this detail explicitly, unambiguously clear, on a listing that is NON-REFUNDABLE*
Public car parks close by are EXPENSIVE and cheaper parking is FAR AWAY...
If you are a light sleeper, be aware that one bedroom window faces a busy bus stop and both bedrooms are above a working launderette - street noise from pedestrians and traffic plus from the washing machines, the staff chatting away and their pop tunes can be heard like clockwork, and very clearly.
One of the shower hoses was broken and unusable. The heating did not work during our stay - someone from the launderette did come to try and help switch it on but nothing happened - a real shame to have a hot shower and not have a warm towel to use after: especially when there was not even a hair dryer provided!
Wi-Fi signal is weak/patchy - esp. in living room
TV is non-smart and tiny so as a person who needs to watch with subtitles it was not an enjoyable feature of this accommodation.
The lock on the front gate entrance does not work and there is no outside lighting so when you're climbing up black metal stairs in the dark and wet night it feels VERY unsafe!
Poor quality of communication from the service provider - aside from checking-in instructions.
We would not stay here again but if you are a heavy sleeper and travelling to Canterbury via public transport this may be ideal for you.
