The capsule hotel was cute and convenient. But there were so many things in general that made functioning in it difficult.
We stayed seven days and some nights were so hot I was sweating. I was surprised I had to ask to turn on the AC so often.
The all day long quiet hours were kind of ridiculous. I think they could’ve had quiet hours from 10 pm to 7 am and it would’ve sufficed. Having all day quiet hours was a little excessive, especially because they really wasn’t a comfortable lounge area to like watch movies and such.
The bathroom sink situation was super inefficient. It was basically a long trough of a sink and all faucets poured into. Beautiful work and idea, but it left only two counter spaces on either end to set toiletry bags.
The ventilation in the bathroom showers was horrible me. The showers and changing rooms were combined into, so basically, you shower and then are forced to get dressed while you’re still damp (because how can you dry off in a closed of room where the shower generated so much steam).
The locker rooms were coed with areas that split off for men and women’s bathrooms. But the women’s side was WIDE open for everyone’s view. Locker room was too small to pack and repack.
The staff was super nice. Although, we booked a tour through them and they failed to mention the tour was no joke going to be 14 hours long. Needless to say, my friend and I weren’t prepared for that being our whole day. And it was an interesting tour, to say the least.
