I was there for one night just as a stopover. For that occasion it was totally fine. For a longer stay (more then 3 days) i would recommend another hostel.

Even though they have rooms for single use it’s still a hostel. The staff is not welcoming at all, I stayed there for 4 nights and the rooms were not cleaned once but the most terrible was the loud boomboomboom music until after midnight! So, if you want meet young people and make party with them it may be the ideal place to stay. If you want to chill and sleep without noise then look for something else.

With so many other options within blocks, this is the worst place to stay. We complained immediately about water leaking from the light fixtures and random holes in the ceilings. Literal pools of water were constantly on the floor, and both the toilet and shower had mold. Not to mention there’s an actual window (TITTIE HEIGHT IN THE SHOWER… free peep show for those walking on the sidewalk). The front desk staff showed no interest in its guest comfort… like, at all. No one even greets you because looking up from their phones is too much to ask for. Just no.

Nous avons reçu un cocktail de bienvenue à notre arrivée. L’emplacement est parfaite pour un court séjour près de la gare d’autobus. La chambre était propre et située du côté du bar. Si vous voulez de la tranquillité ce n’est pas l’idéal.

The hotel feel..guests are treated professionally not like many other hostels where they use volunteer & don't know what they're doing & don't handle issues, situations properly..as i had the bad experience here in Cancun just a fee days ago..so Selina is worth the little extra money & be pampered like you deserve!!!

Muy sucia y la verdad insegura, llegamos nos dieron la habitación y al llegar la habitación asignada se encontraba otra persona dentro, nos sorprendimos y ambos nos disgustamos, me dirijo a recepción y me dieron otra habitación pequeña sucia sin televisor una sola toalla y un agua por el mismo precio, en la nueva cama hasta animalitos encontramos, si pudiera adjuntaría fotos pero no se puede.

Huele feo cuando entras a tu dormitorio( a caño) hasta que se medio ventila mejora el olor y eso que alquile una habitación no compartida y ni siquiera tenía el refrigerador que sea vía en las fotografías, todos los empleados son unos apáticos, menos una chica que está por las mañanas. Lo único rescatable es la ubicación pero por este precio puedes encontrar una mejor opción (hablo de las habitaciones no compartidas) Espero y la gente lea las reseñas yo no lo hice y fue el peor error, ojalá trabajen en todo lo que opinamos por que no soy la única compartiendo este tipo de experiencia.

Okay place to stay for a few nights in Cancun. Close to the main attractions in the hotel zone. Lots happening in the hostel at night and a nice vibe from the travellers staying there. Great sunset view over the pool at night. The check in and check out staff were unfriendly and dismissive. Bar staff also seemed disinterested. Breakfast was good, rooms basic but good enough.

Ubicación muy cómoda y fácil traslados. La limpieza del baño, las amenidades casi vacías , rotos los envases un jabón usado y su envoltura en jabonera /no había shampoo. Y el envase que tenía contenido NO era jabón, si lo fue ya no hacía la función, (se percibía mal olor del envase)

We've stayed at many Selinas in the world - this one is not in the same class as the others, it gives them a bad reputation. This Selina was dirty and delapitated, unkept and the service was not close to comparable to usual staff at selinas. Should not be able to use the same name. Would never stay here again.

Llegué a la habitación y no funcionaba el aire acondicionado sin embargo me dieron una habitación individual lo que agradecí mucho pero le falta mucha limpieza al hostal ya que los baños estaban sucios y con mal olor. Las instalaciones son buenas pero las habitaciones que se comparten necesitan una reforma/ remodelacion.

I stayed in a private room and overall found it to be a pleasant experience. Yes, it was loud at night with the dance hall next door, but all-in-all the room was clean, linens clean, air conditiong worked very well (This was a blessing after being out in the sun all day), and very close to multiple locations in the downtown area. Lastly, I was happy to see on busier nights they had security working the entrance checking people as they entered (Some people came to enjoy the dancing at the small club area)

Pesimo hotel/hostal, sucio y ruidoso.
El hotel está en pesimo estado, los pasillos huelen muy mal a drenaje, se encuentra en general muy sucio y en mal estado los pasillos y areas comunes. Había cucarachas y suciedad en los cuartos, los baños comunes estaban muy sucios y se escucha todo lo que pasa desde las habtiaciones, además tienen una fiesta en la zona de alberca hasta las 3 am, la recepcionista nos dijo que era organizada por un externo al que le rentan el espacio. Ibamos por trabajo y no se podía dormir, de un lado fiesta y del otro karaoke, nos quedamos una noche menos de las que teniamos reservada, hubo poca respuesta de la administración fuera de decirnos que lo sentian. No recomiendo a nadie quedarse aquí. Las fotos de la propiedad son muy engañosas y el olor del hotel es muy desagradble.

I rented a private king size bed room. My room was facing the street and a Restaurant below with loud music, staff were little to no help, seemed disorganized and clueless. While I was in my room some other person that for some reason had keys to my room just opened it out of the blue, definitely caught me by surprise. Also bear in mind that this hotel won’t allow you to drink in your room, so if you want to have a beer or a glass of wine in your Cancún hotel room that would be a no no at this hotel; you are allowed to buy drinks at their bar of course, sounds pretty convenient for them.

Pagas un hospedaje para descansar. relajarte.Afuera del cuarto la alberca..bar y disk jockey con el volumen muy alto hasta muy entrada la noche..tal vez 11:00 p.m. pero después siguieron tomando en el bar y haciendo escandalo hasta la 4:00 A.M. el antro afuera de mi cuarto. Si su idea es salir a pasear regresar. bañarse, cenar y dormir olvidenlo . No vuelvo

you cannot sleep until de party finishes. Even with earplugs. The bass is sooo hard you can feel it everywhere in the room. Also my bed didn't have a plug or either a light, so I didn't be able to charge my devices.. I love Selina chain, but in this case I cannot recommend this place..

Esta decayendo
La atención en la recepción fue muy mala. Nos pidieron a varios que esperemos en una sala al lado y nos llamarían por orden de llegada, pero nunca hubo orden y la chica que atendió el Vie en la noche es la persona menos amable y 'helpful' que he visto en un Selina y en cualquier hostel en los últimos 5 años. Pese a que hostels.com indico que todos los impuestos y cargos estaban ya pagados me cobraron 73 pesos por impuestos. Si tienes que levantarte temprano no uses este hostel, organizan eventos en la noche, a mí me tocó un concierto en vivo que duró hasta la madrugada. Me he quedo antes aquí, solía ser mejor!

I could not have been made to feel more welcomed at Selina Downtown, from the first day arriving until the day of departure the staff were always happy to help and offer suggestions on where to go if I needed to buy something or wanted to try a specific type of cuisine. The front desk and housekeeping staff genuinely do keep this place running like clockwork and they’re a credit to the company. I’ll definitely be back.
