Read this before you book these appartments
Upon arrival there, I found a scruffy piece of paper in the lobby saying that keys should be collected from an address in Salou, 2 Carrer de Navarra, with no map or directions to get there.
I can confirm that the Salou office is a 30 minute walk using the most direct route and an hour if the main seafront road is used.
This is not acceptable. If you still intend to book a holiday using these apartments, the address where you collect the keys is close to the Place de Europa in Salou, the apartments themselves are located on the main road from Salou to Cambrils and are closer to Salou railway station (25 Mins walk) than Cambrils. Buses to and from the airport pass on the main road. The closest bar is an English run bar who do the best they can to help residents, but say that the above problems have been going on for 4 years. O’Driscoll’s Rugby Bar is on the main road, about 50metres from the apartments, there is also a taxi rank next to the apartments. I was told that travellers arriving after midnight have not been able to collect their keys from Salou and have had to pay to stay in a nearby hotel.
The apartment facilities are basic-1 toilet roll, limited kitchenware, no TV and 2 single beds with a bed sofa. A small swimming pool is available next to the railway line during the day. This is the main Barcelona-Valencia line and can be noisy.
I’d advise looking elsewhere!!
