The shower was full of mold and there was no toilet brush. As I am over 65, it is difficult to carry a suitcase. The young man did not even offer to carry my suitcase of the steep stairs. Tables in restaurant are sticky, but that's just about everywhere. Waitress was friendly.

Stayed in the hotel before and had enjoyed that stay. So felt it was best to book there again. This time the room I was allocated had a shower over a bath but having a disability made it impossible to use. The bathroom floor creaked quite badly every time anyone were to walk over it. The bed was comfortable and room was decent although there was marks on the walls. Needs to a fresh lick of paint. we booked breakfast like previously but on this occasion the breakfast was not very good or up to a good standard. The Beans were dry, (as if they had been kept on a contact heat) the produce ie sausages weren’t pleasant to eat neither was the potatoe scone. All I could eat in total from the breakfast was the toast.so feel that I didn’t get value for the money on this occasion.

pleasant stay

The hotel room was cosy & spotlessly clean. Nice big comfortable bed, great shower and nice fluffy towels. We stayed 2 nights. The maid made sure we had fresh towels and we were stocked up on tea, coffee etc. Breakfast was hot and tasty. We also had some lunch in the bar area, it was really nice. Service was 10/10 in the restaurant & bar. Would definitely return.

Couple holiday from Devon
We had room No 1,which was a cubicle shower,which we requested it was very good. The room was cleaned with a little chocolate on both sets of towels which was nice. Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly and had 20% of food for booking on line. I would recommend this hotel/ pub.

Entrance for the hotel a bit scruffy but the room was excellent and the evening meal was really good. All the staff were very pleasant. But SERIOUS PROBLEM I thought I paid Expedia £80 as quoted but on arrival they insisted payment was required, so as I could not check my bank statement there and then I paid the £68.00 asked for but a check shows that £80 did go to Expedia WHO WILL REFUND??

Very conveniently located on the Main Street with quite a few restaurants and riverside walks nearby. The family room had 2 separate sleeping areas and was really spacious.

Excellent all round!
Great Value for Money, nice rooms, great breakfast too. Only small niggle was the larger of the two beds in our room was very hard. The best thing without question are the staff. Every one of them even in the bar really seem to care about your experience and nothing is too much trouble. For a young group they are all an absolute credit to the place and we would only consider here in future when we are back in Callander.
