Gutes Hotel
Modernes Hotel mit großen Zimmern. Wir hatten leider einige Probleme mit reparaturbedürftigen Kleinigkeiten, die teilweise am nächsten Tag gefixt wurden, wurde aber auch etwas übersehen.

I've stayed here before,3 or 4 times now, this trip I booked in for 3 nights. My previous stays I felt it was what was to be expected of a Holiday Inn Express, good value for your dollar, clean, up to date, comfortable. But now there seems to have been an ownership change and it shows. Here are some of the things that upset me: 1. Returning to my room after a day of work I found the door was left open by the maid staff, the room was made up but no clean towels. I went down and notified the desk clerk, she made a note of it but nothing was done. no towels. 2. Stained towels, what appeared to be fresh blood on a pillowcase. My bed that was made with the top sheet on the outside of the duvet not protecting you from it. 3. a general sense of economies taking over, the hair dryers removed from the rooms, no OJ at the breakfast bar, an elevator that is out of service and appeared to have been for some time. I don't like to throw anyone under the bus but I do spend 70/80 nights a year on the road and there are to many other places to stay in Calgary to waste my money at this hotel.

Had problems getting extra blankets. Water was not hot. Towels were limited and of poor quality. Though advertisements say infant beds and cots are available for free, we could not get one. Ice machine not working… only one elevator in operation.. local swimming lessons happening in the pool during prime family swim hours for guests ..

First of all, there was only one lady who was very nice and she was the one who checked us in. The hotel was in a good location. Outside seemed decent. We booked 2 rooms. The things we did not like were upon checked in, one of the rooms had a strong bad odor smell coming out from the cabinet; since we inspected everything and opened that cabinet, the smell lingered in the room and no perfume can get that smell out. It was so stinky. The other room upon checked in had hairs on the bed. So I went back to the front desk to let them know and to try to exchanged both rooms, another lady came out and told us we are not able to. Now this lady is not as friendly as the firat one who checked us in. She only approved 1 room to be exhanged. Moving on, upon check in we already requested extra towels in the room; each room only had 2 and we specified upon booking that there would be 4 guests on each room. When it was time for us to ask for extra towels, we were told they do not have anymore. Mind you the worst part is the towels we were given were lower than rags. They have holes in it and it looked like it was very old, used and lower than rags towels. They didnt even have clean towels for the pools. It was not hygenic at all. We took photos of the towels btw. Also, the pool water and jacuzzi water were so dirty ESPECIALLY the jacuzzi water. It is as if it was not being cleaned. If I could give it negative stars, I would. We would NOT be going back!!! I DO NOT recommend this hotel!

DO NOT stay here. Upon arrival, all of our towels were stained with weird orange colour. We’ve asked to change the towels and we got stained towels again. After two days I saw something under the bedding and after removing the sheets, I’ve discovered I’ve slept on a dry blood stain mattress protector. I asked for the manager on duty and I was told he’s home. I haven’t received a refund on these two horrible nights. Save your money and go elsewhere.
