Bucht wo anders!
Klimaanlage funktioniert nicht. Es kommt Luft, aber keine kalte. Zimmerwechsel würde angeboten, dort war das gleiche. Keine Kühlung! 26 Grad! Die Zimmer sind sehr eng, das Sofa ist zu klein sogar für ein Kind zum schlafen. Der Teppich der außer in der Lobby überall verlegt ist, ist fleckig. Selbst im Zimmer mussten wir die Schuhe anlassen, weil es ekelig war! Es wird überall geraucht, dementsprechend ist die Luft. Für Kinder sehr unangenehm. Auf Reklamationen wird nicht eingegangen. So wie hier bei den Antworten... Ich habe gedacht, dass es bei über 4 Sternen nicht so schlecht sein kann und habe mich geirrt!

The Novotel was a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of Cairo. The room was huge- in fact two rooms. It was quiet and clean with good facilities. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Especially Emir the waiter who looked after me.

I checked in last min to get away from a hotel I didn’t feel safe as a solo traveler at. This hotel is gated with some at the gate and a dog they walked around the car. At the door it’s a bag check like the airport very quick. Staff was fast with help and check in took about 2 mins bel hop took my things to my room for me. Hotel quite beautiful clean and nice will stay again. Free shuttle to the airport every 30 mins on time.

Clean modern airport hotel, with comfortable beds. It was badly let down however by 2 issues - the shuttle and the food. Shuttle - advertised as free 24 hour service. On arriving to Cairo however it is extremely difficult to actually use it. You have to ring the hotel reception and wait 30 minutes, which isn’t easy unless you have an Egyptian mobile. They ignored my messages sent in advance with our flight details, so we had a stressful wait in the blazing heat with our toddler. The Italian food (Primavera restaurant, beside the pool) - the pizzas had NO tomato on them so were basically cheesy bread with toppings, and the “tenderloin” beef was inedible. The “risotto” was just plain rice in a bowl served upside down. We tried to highlight this to staff but were ignored and had to pay the full amount.

Called for shuttle, was told to call shuttle ourselves and given number. This should not happen, staff at hotel should call shuttle for us. Second driver of shuttle did nothing except pick us up. We lifted our bags into truck, he sat. When we got to hotel he asked for tip. Pretty bad image for Novotel. Front desk check in Amr was great. Very efficient and helpful.

The shuttle was easy to grab and liked that the bar was open 24/7. Rooms were clean and perfect for landing for a layover while facilities offered made you feel like you were at a resort rather than a ‘landing ground’. Prices were fair and would visit again
