"Our stay at Bosque del Cabo Rain Forest Lodge was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the extremely friendly staff made us feel instantly welcome. They provided helpful tips for the walks and ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our time in the rainforest. The tours were highly professional, and we were fortunate to have Carlos as our guide - he was outstanding. Thanks to his expertise, we were able to spot incredible wildlife such as a potoo and a sloth during the nature tour as well scorpion and Bothrops asper in the night walk. The trails were a highlight of our visit. Both the Golfo Dulce Trail and the Pacific Trail offered breathtaking scenery and diverse wildlife encounters. Each walk felt like a new adventure, and we loved exploring the different ecosystems. On our last early morning walk, we even discovered an anteater searching for food high up in a tree, which was a magical experience. Special thanks also to José for his understanding when our plans had to change - his flexibility and kindness were very much appreciated and made our stay even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, we only had three nights at the lodge, which felt far too short. If our travel route had allowed, we would have gladly stayed longer to soak in more of this extraordinary place. Bosque del Cabo is a gem in the rainforest - welcoming, professional, and full of wonders. We cannot recommend it highly enough and hope to return one day for a longer stay."

"Die Luna Lodge ist eine Institution am Rand des Corcovado Nationalparks. Die An- und Abfahrt war ab Puerto Jimenez etwas holprig, nach Carate waren die letzten Kilometer durchaus herausfordernd. Die Piste führt mehrmals durch den Rio Carate. Ein etwas höheres Fahrzeug mit 4x4 ist unbedingt erforderlich. Wir hatten einen Suzuki Vitara mit dem haben wir einmal leicht aufgesetzt, aber sonst war er ausreichend. Doch nun zur Unterkunft selbst: Wir hatten ein Zimmer in der Hacienda, das sehr spartanisch eingerichtet war. Die gesamte Anlage empfanden wir als sehr gepflegt. Besonders genossen haben wir den Pool, das Aussichtsdeck am Essensbereich und das Yogadeck. Das Essen war oberlecker, mittags gab es vegetarisch, abends auch Fleisch oder Fisch, das Frühstück war landestypisch. Der Service und die Betreuung waren hervorragend. Wir haben eine Vogeltour gemacht und die Wanderung in den Corcovado, beides mit vielen Tiersichtungen. Der Aufenthalt war sicherlich ein teures Erlebnis, das sich aber definitiv lohnt."
