The bar was a highlight as well, lovely traditional vibe with very comfortable seating & great views. Having previously experienced a range of accommodations, including an Airbnb in Cambridge, an apartment hotel, and a large hotel in London, this particular hotel stood out as a pleasant surprise, especially considering it was not as pricey as the others. The bed was notably comfortable, and the breakfast provided was a highlight of our stay. We were treated to a proper English breakfast, which was quite wonderful. The bathroom and shower were both clean and of a good size. The hotel also had effective air conditioning, although we didn't need it much as the weather was mild. The staff were quite friendly, which was particularly reassuring given some warnings from locals about potential unfriendly encounters due to the changing political climate. However, we found the staff to be very kind and they treated my son with exceptional sweetness and respect – a factor that always makes a big difference to me. I would recommend this hotel, especially to other foreign-looking travelers, for a comfortable and welcoming experience. "
