They were having an up grade and refurbishment whilst I was there but it didn't affect my stay .

„We had a very warm welcome on arrival. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. Very dog friendly and it was great we could eat with our dog in the bar. The family room was very clean and good size. Not a great view of the fire escape but it didn’t matter for one night. In a great location in the seafront and easy to park outside on the road for free. “

We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal.
The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home.

"Weilte 5 Tage im Hotel The Coniston Inn. Die Lage des Hotels, unmittelbar in Seenähe und etwas ausserhalb vom Ort Coniston (kurzer Fussmarsch) gelegen, ist schlicht wunderbar. Sehr ruhige Lage, eine Bus-Haltestelle vor dem Hotel und eine grosse Gartenanlage mit Sitz- und Erholungsgelegenheiten. Das Gebäude ist ein typisch englisches Landhaus. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Im Zimmer habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Toll auch, dass man im Zimmer über einen Wasserkocher mit Tee- und Kaffee-Vorräten verfügen kann. Das Frühstück ist grandios. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Eier-Gerichte (im Frühstückspreis enthalten). Auch im Restaurant habe ich einige Male gegessen. Es hat Pub-Charakter, was ich als sehr angenehm empfunden habe."
