Wunderbar altmodisches Hotel in zentraler Lage
Nicht ganz preiswert für den gebotenene Standard, aber ein kleines Schmuckstück aus vergangener Zeit. Dazu nettes Rastaurant mit Kaffeehausathmosphäre - am Wochenende sogar mit Harfe- oder Klaviermusik (live). Freundlicher Service und zentrale Lage direkt hinterm Rathaus, was will man mehr?

We had a very enjoyable stay at this characterful Hotel and would definitely recommend it. We had one of the rooms in the attic and whilst it was unique and comfortable, we would not suggest this room for anyone who has mobility issues as the bed is elevated and you have to climb up to access it. The Hotel is within easy walking distance of the centre and close to the Danube so ideal for sightseeing. There is a good selection for breakfast and we would highly recommend the restaurant where we had the best evening meal of our stay by far. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The Hotel arranged transport from and to the Airport for us which went without a hitch. Thank you to all at the Gerloczy Hotel, we had a lovely time.

My stay was amazing. The building was very cool and located in a great area next to shopping. The restaurant next door was perfect and the food was super delicious and authentic. The hotel staff were great. It was our anniversary and they helped to make it a great day.

The hotel is small, quirky & cosy. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. Check in and out was quick and easy. The service in the restaurant at breakfast & dinner was excellent. The food was great with modern interpretations of traditional dishes. The room had everything we needed for a short break and is nicely decorated in keeping with the history of the building. The hotel is well located within a few minutes walk of the river and of the basilica. Would happily stay here again.

Do not hesitate to stay here. Staff and rooms were excellent. We had 5 couples and everyone loved their room. Front desk staff were great, especially the woman on during the day. She went above and beyond when I lost my ID, shame on me for not remembering her name. Many thanks for all the help, whoever you are. Hotel is very walkable to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing places. Would love to return to a wonderful hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days and the room was extremely clean. It was the first time I have seen a room as this much clean. Stuff were friendly and kind. They suprised us with a bottle of wine which was super. The internet works very well. At this hotel you can reach everywhere in 5 minutes. From airport you can take 100E bus with 5 euro and the bus stop is only 4 minutes away. Thank you for making our holiday perfect! Thank you!

An excellent and characterful hotel
A really characterful and special hotel. Bedroom very comfortable. Breakfasts superb. Bathroom was spacious but old fashioned which would not suit some (no walk in shower, hand shower over bath) - but we liked it and was part of the 1900s feel of the place. Service was friendly and helpful. Excellent position - right in the heart of Pest but quiet.

Terrific staff - I needed a haircut & one of their team set me up with a Hungarian barber who spoke English. The hotel is near the Jewish Quarter & it’s beautiful Grand Synagogue - a must see in Budapest. It’s also near the Ruin Bars - also very interesting. Go early if you want to avoid crowds. The hotel restaurant is good & service is excellent

Très bien situé. A 5 minutes de la grosse station de métro Deak ter et du bus 100E de l'aéroport. Dans une petite rue très calme et donnant sur une petite place tranquille. A 2 pas de la rue commerçante et touristique de Vaci utca. Bon accueil. Chambre tout à fait confortable et propre. La salle de bain conserve un air authentique et vintage. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est excellent.

The Gerloczy provides a very clean and comfortable place to stay in central Budapest. It has character, staff are polite and helpful and I love the adjoining brasserie. It has all the facilities needed and is less expensive than other hotels. This includes a Nespresso machine, lovely toiletries, minibar, hairdryer and robes if requested. Linen was kept fresh daily.

We have stayed at the Gerloczy many times and have always enjoyed the great rooms, comfortable beds, cleanliness, great staff, great restaurant. Very conveniently located right downtown near the main tourist shopping and eating area but in a quiet square. Beautifully decorated rooms. Very walkable area but close to public transport. My favourite hotel in Budapest.

Flott opphold i koselige omgivelser. Hyggelig betjening både på hotellet og i restauranten. Anbefaler å bestille med frokost. Rolige omgivelser til å være midt i byen. Ikke AC på rommet, så vil nok være varmt på sommeren. Vårt besøk var tidlig mai og det var uproblematisk. Anbefaler dette sjarmfulle hotellet.

I stayed 3 nights in this lovely hotel. It was quiet despite being right in centre of town. Position was around 10 min walk from shopping and wide range of restaurants and walkable to attractions and the sightseeing bus stops. Staff were very helpful and the room was large, clean and comfortable. Fresh coffee machine and a large old fashion bathroom with bath but no fixed shower which wasnt a problem. Restaurant at the front was lovely and staff great. Food great too. No other amenities to speak of just your room and restaurant but i was there to see the city not hang around the hotel. Room was quite warm even in spring with heating turned right down. No air con so might be hot in the summer. I would definitely stay here again as I love this style of hotel.

What a delightful place. Will visit again.
This is a delightful hotel and the staff was wonderful. Simply staying there made our trip so much more memorable. Breakfast everyday in the hotel Cafe was a very special treat.

If you like the experience of older architecture built in the spirit of Budapest, then this is the place for you. A beautiful 20 room hotel. With wide spiraling stairs. An elevator is also available. Rooms are quiet and simplistically elegant. The restaurant has great food. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. This has been my favorite hotel experience in Europe.
