The property was clean, functional and had history included. It had all the amenities necessary for a week long stay. We ate out so did not cook in but had all the equipment to cook in. Staying off island had its advantages. A couple possible improvements would be a couple of handles going down the cellar for the washer and dryer ...

„My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Tiny House. It was cozy and comfortable for the two of us, and the view of the bay was wonderful. We also thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit. The neighborhood was quiet, and not too far from Bar Harbor / Acadia. There is also a nice little bakery 10 minutes away.“

„Our family of 5 had a great stay here. House is exactly as advertised and the lake is beautiful. Kids loved swimming (note you do have to navigate some boulders by the dock), playing on the kayaks and canoe, fishing, and making s’mores by the fire pit. Also loved seeing and listening to the loons (and spotted a bald eagle one afternoon). Supermarket nearby for most grocery needs and also great lobster nearby. „We enjoyed a couple of nights in this charming home. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was a nice size for preparing meals. We relaxed by the fire and enjoyed the view of the lake. All 4 of us are coffee and wine drinkers so a larger coffee pot and at least 4 wineglasses would have made it perfect.“

The hosts have accomplished absolute magic in their herculean efforts to make this building a draw for the town. They succeeded wildly, with only a few new-lodging quirks to work out. The design is just enough, with subtle details somehow receding into the character of the moment rather than feeling obvious and cliché.
