"The hotel is showing its age, but it's clean and within walking distance of the train station and the city center. The breakfast is good, although freshly cooked meals cost extra. We liked it and would happily return. A major construction site is still underway until 2026, but there was no work at night."

"Absolut schrechliches Hotel, wenn man mit dem eigenen Auto kommt und einen Parkplatz benötigt. Der Parkplatz 100 m weiter ist öffentlich und nur mit einer App zu bezahlen, die ich als Deutscher nicht herunterladen konnte. Zudem wirkt es sehr unsicher dort sein Auto abzustellen. Die hoteleigenen Parkplätze waren schon voll um 15 Uhr, weil es auch nur 5 Stück sind. Es war total nervig. Auch die Hilfe der Managerin war leider mangelhaft, da sie nicht wie versprochen den Vorgang mit dem Parkplatzanbieter bearbeitet und für uns geklärt hat. Drotz mehrfacher Anfrage per Email, gab es keinerlei Antwort. "

"Hotel is a bit of a misnomer for this place: it is nice and convenient but it certainly is not a hotel. Guesthouse would describe it best. The check-in is automated and there is nobody on the premises. For a stop it is nice if you don't need the fascilities of a regular hotel. "

"Schönes Hotel und gut gelegen. Man kann knapp 30min zu Fuß an der Themse spazieren. Die Zimmer waren okay, sauber und das Personal fast durchgängig super hilfsbereit. Die Qualität vom Dinner war leider nur mäßig und die Pizza leider echt schlecht. Empfehlen kann man das Hotel aber auf jeden Fall, wenngleich knapp 600€ für zwei Übernachtungen auch nicht gerade wenig ist. "

"Gutes Hotel am Rande von Oxford gleich neben einem P+R, von wo aus man jede 15 Minuten schnell (4 Haltestellen) kostengünstig (Hin und zurück 6 GBP/Person) und stressfrei ins Zentrum von Oxford gelangt, wo die Parkplätze sehr teuer sind. Gutes Frühstück und aufmerksames Personal."

"Das Hotel liegt etwas am Rand von Oxford, aber mit dem Bus (Haltestelle direkt am Hotel) ist man schnell in der City. Leider muss man am Hotel neuerdings fürs Parken zahlen. Ansonsten gab es nichts zu beanstanden, Sauberkeit, Komfort, Frühstück usw. waren gut. Kleiner netter Pool."

"The parking conditions are terrible. They have less places than rooms and parking is not allowed within several miles around the hotel. If you arrive by car, I can´t recommend staying at this hotel. We had booked it because of the available parking places but at arrival there were none. We kept looking for two hours but couldn´t get any available parking space except those far away. The food is below average - a choice between nutella, jam, butter, toast, industrial croissants and the standard Kelloggs-Cereal range as well as sweet yoghurt-like creams. Good coffee is an extra, as well as add-ons like eggs. The location is good and the room itself was good. The bathtub didn´t work properly, the water stayed, the window shutters don´t close properly so it´s relatively bright at night - if you can´t sleep well when it isn´t dark, don´t come here. My next stay in Oxford will not be here. It´s ok without a car and if you find your breakfast somewhere else. "

"Overall a good experience. Downside: my room was very cold when I arrived and it took the whole night until the room became reasonably warm. Additioally, electrical heating stops whenever the key card is removed as one leaves the room."

"Das Hotel hat mir insgesamt sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer sind stets sauber und werden gründlich gereinigt, was meinen Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht hat. In der Bar in der Empfangshalle herrscht immer reges Treiben, was für eine lebendige Atmosphäre sorgt. Obwohl es etwas hellhörig ist, überzeugt das Hotel durch den Charme der stilvollen Einrichtung und schafft damit eine einladende und gemütliche Atmosphäre. Ich komme gerne wieder!"

"Eigentlich ein gutes Hotel, jedoch das Badezimmer bräuchte eine Renovierung und die Schiebenster liess sich nicht öffnen um frische Luft in den Raum zu bringen. "

"Very nice location for exploring Oxfordshire. Typical English country hotel with good breakfast options and clean spacious rooms. Beware of the extra charge of 30 pounds per night for an extra bed. We booked for three people via Expedia and we’re not informed beforehand about that. It was only on the booking confirmation in very fine print. Breakfast staff was nice, did not have much interaction with the rest of staff. There were some problems with our booking dates so I think we ended up with a different smaller room, but did not have to pay the charge for the extra bed as a compensation. There are a lot of groups staying one night only so breakfast can get busy and noisy. I was a bit disappointed about the bread selection, toast and small sweet things only, no bagels or crumpets but that may be only me. On the whole I‘d stay there again as it is a really great location for seeing places by rental car."

"This hotel does not offer any space for bicycles. I was told I could lock the bike at the side of the hotel at the metal fence. So I put the bike on a little raise of the wall and locked the bicycle on the fence. The next morning I found that in front of that fence were parking spaces for cars, since my bike was kind of blocked by one. So when leaving the next morning I had to be careful not to touch the car while getting my bike. I didn't like the wy they serve breakfast. It is half self service, half served. The toast you have to order and then they cut it into halfes (don't like it) and also it is cold when it arrives at your table, which I also don't like, since I like it if the butter melts on toast. Otherwise there is no need for me to toast it."

"The hotel is part of main road services on the A34. Perfect for short stay travellers. Friendly reception, large clean rooms, walk-in shower. Huge TV set with many channels. No noise from the main road and quiet carpeted roomand corridor. M&S food shop at petrol station opposite, also McDonalds. Noisy coffee shop atmosphere in the hotel restaurant. Morning walk beside the busy road supplied me not only with plenty of petrol fumes but also delicious blackberries picked fresh from the pathside bushes. Car dealerships beside the hotel's no-charge car park gave the chance to window shop. A Costa coffee shop drive-through close by seemed to typify the general mood of the area."

"Leider versprechen die Bilder viel mehr, als dass das Hotel Substanz und Service bietet. Unfreundliches und lustloses Personal, keinerlei Bedürfnis, bei Fragen zu helfen, Badezimmer und insbesondere Toilette war dreckig, auch nach der Bitte, diese erneut zu reinigen. Bad kaum ausgestattet und lieblos angeordnet, und in schlechtem Zustand. Unfassbar unbequemes, abgenutztes Bett. Jeder Schritte der Nachbarn, vor allem von oben, hört man mit lautem Knarren und Knaksen, so sehr, dass man nachts aufwacht. Essen im Restaurant lieblos und überteuert. Sehr sehr schade, denn das Hotel selbst hätte so viel mehr Potential."
