This charming village has a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants, and is a wonderful spot to sample a traditional Devon cream tea. Walkers are spoilt for choice with the South West Coast Path passing through town and the 180-mile Tarka Trail nearby. To practise your swing, head to Saunton Golf Club (2.5 miles).
