„We had some amazing views of sunrises in this house and a great/relaxing time in the hot tub that is outside the house. The house is perfectly located as a starting point to visit a lot of places of the golden circle and beyond e.g. just 15min away from the secret lagoon (a must visit!). Everything was very clean and the kitchen was very well equiped. Try to buy groceries either in Selfoss or 7 min away in Reykholt (small grocery store). The neighborhood is very quite. „The Historical House was in an ideal location and provided plenty of space to enjoy togetherness. The property manager was very quick with helpful responses. One of our daughters picked up pastries nearby every morning that we enjoyed together over the large sharing table. The kids enjoyed small sleeping areas and it was just a very comfortable situation allowing day trips to Golden Circle and The Blue Lagoon. Delightful dinners were shared nearby each evening. „Photos can not capture the beautiful scenery at the villa. You are surrounded by nature and the view of the Northern Lights surrounds the area when they are dancing. Our teens, young adults, middle-aged, and senior family members were all able to enjoy the spacious layout. Travel to local sights is easy and worth it in order to be in the tranquil quiet by the lake. I highly recommend staying here. The owners are wonderful hosts.“
