„Overall, the property was enjoyable. Clean, nice appliances and kitchen utensils, good beds, and great water pressure in the showers. We couldn’t connect any of the TV’s the first night but was immediately responded to and fixed the next day. Check-in instructions were not given until the afternoon which was frustrating for traveling guests. The home is located on the corner of a busy street so one bedroom does get some road noise at night.“

„You don’t get to stay at old houses nowadays, and , it’s unique experience for our family as we always opt for new things but I appreciate the stay and the effort of the owner to give that old world experience and the restoration! I say wow, they stay true to the period with modern amenities and convenience of course, definitely recommend to experience.“

„Once we found the property, it was nice. A little smaller than we expected. But nice… The problem was the hell we had finding the place. The steepness of the paths were ridiculous. The sharp turns and drop offs. We always made sure we were back to the property before dusk. Because there was absolutely no traveling that course at night. „My wife and I needed to get away and this was perfect. Will stay again for in the near future. You may want to look into the numerous little black bugs on the bathroom sink. Also, the toilet runs if you do not take the top off of the sink and pull the chain out from under the flapper. The smell of fresh paint and perhaps some staining reminded me of some work I had just completed on our back deck and home. 👍👍👍👍👍“

„My sister and I needed a quiet slice of the Texas hill country in order to celebrate some “gettin up there” birthdays. That deck was PERFECT!!! Sights, sounds and smells of that part of the country bring back wonderful memories. I was a guest in this same house 12 years ago. It is even better today than it was then. “

„House is a spacious historic property close to Fredricksburg shops and restaurants. Very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the care taken to preserve the history of the home including restoring and not renovating the property. It is about an 8 minute walk to the "Main drag" of town. A few items to note - there are two bedrooms and you have to walk through one to get to the other. „I can't say enough amazing things about this property! The host really outdid themselves. We had everything we could possibly want and then some! The bedrooms were perfect, comfy and quiet - such a great neighborhood and close to everything. We enjoyed the backyard, sitting around the firepit after a night out! „The property is excellent from the moment you walk in. Great layout with 4 large bedrooms one of which has two queen beds. Finding a property where each adult has their own bed can be challenging but Helix Haus was perfect. Great location close to Main Street so a few minutes to restaurants like Hill and Vine and Eaker BBQ while being on a quiet and comfortable street. The house is very comfortable and easy to settle into for a few days. A lot of chill time around the kitchen table was had! ...
