Schönes Haus - tolle Ausflugsziele
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten eine tolle Woche. Das Haus entspricht der Beschreibung und den Bildern. Allerdings liegt es sehr nah an der Straße, so dass der Verkehrslärm etwas störend wirken kann. Im Garten hätten wir uns ein paar Blümchen gewünscht.

Fabulous dog friendly holiday
A comfortable holiday home with all the amenities one would need, that was conveniently loated for our week's holiday exploring the Northumberland coast and countryside. The property allows dogs, which was a must for us. Communication and check in was straighforward, and detailed information about the property and local attractions were provided. I'd happily stay here again, thank you!

Lovely stay
This is the second time we’ve stayed at Seafarer Cottage and it’s lovely. Great location, well equipped, comfy beds and excellent water pressure in the shower! There is some traffic noise from the A1 but it’s didn’t affect us sleeping. It’s lovely to have a sofa to sit on outside and internet to stream TV programmes with. Thank you, Julie, for a lovely stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Seafarers Cottage and would highly recommend it. Very comfortable and cosy. Super location and the cottage contained everything we needed. We especially liked seeing the local hedgehog coming to visit every night!

Nice property proximity to road not an issue
This property is five minutes from Holy Island and two great walks coastal and inland. It is also close to the national cycleway 1. It is easy to travel from here to Berwick and .Alnwick but also to all the local villages and the Cheviot hills. The property is close to the A1 but this did not affect us with noise. There is a pub with food next door and a small shop in the nearby garage. The garden could do with being enclosed to help with control of pets but also to define the boundary. It has good sized rooms two bathrooms, good size fridge and a washer dryer. I would recommend to anyone looking to travel in the area and wants a comfortable base.

Lovely house
incredibly well equipped house, everything you could want especially the kitchen. Light, bright and comfortable. Its a great location for going places, it is next to the road and therefor noisy but it didn't really bother us. Lots of birds in the garden and a huge sack of seed to feed them which I liked. We would definitely book this house again, you can see Lindesfarne from the bathroom window.

Great base
This was a great base to explore the area. Pub serving food and wee shop were handy. Cottage was lovely with everything we needed. The only slight downside was the traffic noise from the main road, but not a lot can be done about that. The location was perfect for exploring Lindisfarne and the Northumberland coast. Highly recommended.

Everything we needed in this comfortable cottage, perfectly positioned for exploring Northumberland. Very close to the A1 with some road noise at night.(they were working on the junction overnight during our stay) Wonderful views of Lindisfarne just a short walk from the front door.

Lovely house, all you need is there, and the location is superb. Second time we've been there. The views are amazing from upstairs to Holy Island. Our only regret was that we booked for 1 week and not 2.

GATEWAY TO HOLY ISLAND
The house was SUPERB - spotlessly clean and bright and very well equipped with everything we needed, and more!! Although there were a few houses roundabout, the garden and outdoor seating areas had very pleasant outlook, watching the cimings and goings of allbthe nesting birds ( mid May), including tge extremely acrobatic, etherial swifts/martins, nestng in the eaves of the house - beautiful! The Lindisfarne inn and Londis garage shop almost next door proved very handy - great food and very efficient, friendly service. We didn't realise that the road down to the Holy Island causeway was quite so far away from the house, as we envisaged walking down and across the causeway on the sands at low tide, but afraid our tired 70 year old legs (all of us, are around that age) wouldn't have been able to manage that 😏, but the day we did choose to go onto the island by car, was the best day of the week, weatherwise with sunset to sunrise, with a lovely fresh breeze - perfect!

We stayed at the house last year as a couple, returned this year with 4 generations, mum in law, us, son & daughter in law and our granddaughter. The house still felt perfect, the dining kitchen meant we could interact as a family over meal tiles, while the lounge was large enough to accommodate us all in the evening. The house is well equipped with everything to enjoy your holiday and has been warm during what has been a cold week in Northumberland. Great base to explore the area, Barn at Beal and the lindisfarne inn good food. Will try and come back again, maybe when the weather is warmer! Richard & Julie

Splendid Seafarer's Cottage
We had a fantastic stay here during Feb half term. It was so convenient to pop out to lots of places and having somewhere warm, clean and well equipped was fantastic. Fantastic property in a great location for everything we wanted to do. My only complaint is the check in time is slightly too late and check out time is certainly too early as we had to strip the bed and bag up all the towels we used before we left.

Thank you for your lovely review. I'm sorry about the times, but they were introduced at the request of our cleaning team during Covid, as they were deep cleaning each of the houses they service and it was taking longer than usual. Check in and out times will be going back to after 4pm and by 10 am now that the worst does seem to be over.

Lovely home from home.
Beautiful well presented property very well equipped, everything you could possibly need. Our friends who came with us are hoping to come again next year with their family. Because it was so good I feel bad complaining about anything but there were a few gripes. My husband banged his head several times in our bedroom and, although nothing can be done about a sloping roof, if it was my property I would try moving the bed against a different wall. Perhaps they have already tried that. We were a group of four adults and were fine but I do think that if there were five adults it would be a bit squashed on one of the sofas. Overall I was very impressed with the property and loved looking out of the bedroom window across to Lindisfarne.

Lovely cottage

Delightful stay near Lindisfarne
We had a wonderful week at the property, made even better by having good, warm weather. It was ideal for visits to Lindisfarne, Berwick and the Farme Islands. A must to visit is Cragside, an NT property about 30 miles away. The property was exceptionally clean with all the kitchen equipment needed. The garden seating area which wasn’t in the photos was an added bonus. It would have been even better if two or three folding chairs were provided so that we could sit in other areas of the garden, especially when the weather’s hot. Overall a very good stay.

Holy Island Causeway Retreat
The Cottage had a great wow factor! It is modern, well-equipped and spotless on arrival. It is excellent for providing access to Holy Island. Used as both a spiritual retreat, visiting many places associated with St Cuthbert, the Farne Islands, and walking in the countryside. Looking forward to returning.

Country feel, modern touches....
Second visit and not disappointed as the cottage looks as good outside as inside. It has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The owner has thought of everything including new outdoor seating which was great after a day walking..... remember your sunscreen ☀️ Beautiful area, and lovely coastal walks, recommend Bamburgh, Seahouses and Alnwick. Comfortable property and a great base to explore Northumberland
The house is in an ideal location to explore Northumberland, within 30 minutes drive of Alnwick, Berwick and the Northumberland National Park. It’s also only 1 hour to Edinburgh for a ‘city’ experience whilst here. The house is warm and comfortable, with plenty of hot water. Kitchen dinning area very homely with everything needed to cook a range of food and eat in a pleasant environment. Entertainment system gives plenty of choice to an evening viewing after a full day out. Bathrooms of a high standard and bedrooms comfortable. Although there was only 2 of us, the house didn’t feel too big, but we could imagine it being perfect for 4 or 5 without being on top of one another. The garden has the sun in different places all day and there are seating areas to enjoy the sun. At night, the stars are amazing on a clear night. We hope to return soon. Richard & Julie

Fabulous, relaxing holiday
Stayed here with my husband for a week. Lovely and cosy property. Extremely impressed with how clean the house was. Also loved the location of this property, so near to holy island (can be seen from the second level of the house) and lots of other places to visit nearby. We wanted some time to chill out and relax from the stresses of work and thats exactly what we got. We would definitely stay here again, loved this house and the surrounding areas. Stunning views.

Simply the Best
Having rented this lovely property for a week in September last year, 2020 and our friends were unable to join us as planned due to Covid restrictions, we booked again for this year. So glad we did, the property was clean, tidy and as comfortable as we remembered and with everything anyone would need and more. It's location is ideal for visiting Lindisfarne, where we had an amazing meal at The Ship Inn, Bamburgh with it's lovely castle and great beach and coastal walks, short drive to Berwick on Tweed with it's fortifications and great places to eat and drink or catch the train to Edinburgh only 40 minutes away. The hosts Julia and Michael have thought of everything and their communication is excellent. Highly recommend this property and we will be returning.

Perfect location, well equipped.
It’s perfect location is matched by the beauty of the surrounding area. We stayed for a weeks walking holiday with Friends and there was plenty of room to never be in each other’s way. The cottage is very well equipped and has everything you need although if you fancy a pint, the local hostelry is next door which serves great food. Small down side is the noise from the main road, generally quiet depending on the tide times to the Holy Island but we were there during the Lindisfarne Festival so a lot busier than usual I guess. The best recommendation I could give is that I would not hesitate to go back again……..which we’re already looking at. Enjoy!!!

Perfect base to explore Northumberland
This cottage is so lovely, light and airy and Julia had emailed to say there was a little arrival pack of milk, bread and butter. We arrived to an extra treat of chocolate and hobnobs which the kids devoured. The kitchen is so well equipped, I think there’s things in there that i don’t even have in our kitchen. As it rained on the Sunday we made the most of the cottage after getting drenched in Seahouses and cooked a Sunday Roast. The powershower is intense and the TV enormous. All clean and just really family friendly. Our only issue was the pub next door, if you want a meal there book before you get there. There is some road noise but I think we noticed that as there is nothing where we live. It didn’t wake us up at night. Thank you for a really great week.

Fantastic Cottage
We have just returned home from a gorgeous week in this cottage. It is just as described and true to what the pictures show. It's well stocked with everything you could need in a kitchen and lots of little touches that makes it a home not just a place to rent for a weeks holiday. We loved staying. The cottage is at the top of the road to go down to get to Holy Island which can be seen from all the upstairs windows. Even though the cottage is just off the main road we never noticed traffic noise and there is a lovey inn next door that sells lovely food and again we didn't notice noise from people staying there or out in the beer garden. We loved our stay and will visit again in the future.

Nice cottage
This cottage is just off the A1, hence is ideal for exploring Northumberland. It has everything you need for a pleasant, comfortable stay. What impressed us the most were all the little thoughtful extras eg, Windbreakers & Kites for the beach, great informative books on Northumberland, varied walking routes for families, detailed maps of the area, this was really helpful for planning days out. We all had a lovely time.

Lovely house in a brilliant location with views of Holy Island
The house is in a great location just off the A1 and has beautiful views across to Holy Island. Everything is exactly as pictured, but better! The house is light and comfy, and very well maintained. It is clean and the extra precautions for COVID were clear and appreciated. Checkin and communication were also good and Julia was great at answering questions and sending information. The house is the perfect base for exploring Northumberland and is lovely to return to in the evening. The kitchen is well equipped, the lounge is great for relaxing, and the beds are comfy. Great Stay at Seafarer cottage

Really lovely and well equipped cottage. Had every kitchen gadget we could possibly have needed and more! Great communication from the owners prior to our stay and the cottage was really clean. Great location for coast and beaches. It is very close to the A1 which is great for transport links but not as great if traffic noise keeps you awake. It was a great base for a week exploring Northumberland. The downstairs shower room and bed room are perfect if you have an elderly family member. Smart TV in the living room was great for things like Netflix and a second TV in the spacious kitchen diner also. Thanks so much for having us.

Easy booking, great communication and superb facilities. Everything very clean, lovely touch was hand sanitiser in prime positions and good covid19 protocls in place. Well situated for Holy Island, Berwick upon Tweed, Bamburgh and Seahouses (brilliant boat trip round the Farne Islands, Grey Seal tour with Billie Shiels, very informative and enjoyable) Day trip to Edinburgh via train from Berwick only £18 return, 45 minutes and some very scenic views on the way. Julia was very helpful and quick to reply to any queries. Definitely recommend this property.
