My stay at the Pickwick Hotel in Belize City was wonderful, how accommodating the staff were. Before I arrived I messaged through Expedia and they arranged for a car to be waiting at the airport for a small fee, which made arriving in a new country very easy and stress-free.
The two ladies at the front desk were amazing—friendly, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure I had a great experience. When one of my tours cancelled last minute, they quickly helped arrange something else so my day wouldn’t be wasted. Justin, who had picked me up from the airport, took me out based on what I wanted to see for a small fee, similar to any tour company.
The next afternoon he took me through several local communities where I was able to eat local food and experience Belize beyond the typical tourist spots.
Overall, check-in and check-out were easy, my room was clean, the A/C worked well, and my ocean-view room gave me beautiful sunrises every morning. The location was also convenient with restaurants, a supermarket, and the bus within walking distance.
