It is a place where one can really calm down and relax and it´s great that dogs are allowed. We enjoyed walking along the coast and down to the "beach" where we saw some quite "dramatic" sunsets. Zu unserer Überraschung ist das Cottage bislang selten von Besuchern aus Kontinentaleuropa gebucht wurden. Um Umkreis von 30-90 Minuten gibt es unendlich viele Ausflugsziele. Die Strände von Nord-Devon genauso wie die im Süden, oder sogar schon Cornwall. Exmoor und Dartmoor eignen sich hervorragend ...

„The setting & area was ideal for getting out & about, if you have a dog 🐶 the garden was great. The cottage had every convenience & was definitely home from home, our only negative was bathroom downstairs. I didn't realise this when I looked at the cottage, for most people no problem. Late 70's a bit of an issue middle of the night, but we had a fabulous Christmas & few day's. Certainly would recommend to our younger friends & family.“

„We stayed for ten days in „The Barn“ at Rye Park House - not enough for such a wonderful place. Maria was a perfect host, we have almost never been welcomed so warmely before. The place ist just great and the house is very beautiful and perfect for holidays in a deep green nature far away from noise and stress. We hope to come back!“

„This property is first class. Clean, comfortable, quiet with a beautiful view and deer visiting the garden. The location is great with Dunster in easy reach for pub lunches and cream teas, and Minehead just a little further for all the essentials. We love this part of the country and will definitely be adding this place to our favourites. „The property is well situated for exploring Exmoor, both on foot and by car. A short walk takes you to Exford where there are 2 pubs and a teashop(the hub for star gazing nights on a Thursday). There is also a fantastic playground on the green. We were welcomed with home baked bread, spreads and a delicious cake. The cottage has everything, even towels for our dog. „We stayed from 25th Aug-1st Sept. The property totally exceeded our expectations which were extremely high. The facilities are second to none, it felt like a home from home but in much more beautiful surroundings. Orchard House is very close to all amenities but secluded for peace and tranquility. There was a lovely offering on arrival in the form of a welcome pack, totally unexpected and a treat. The owners were friendly and chatted to members of my family. „Plenty of space for 4 adults. The outside verandah was well used as it was so peaceful and quiet to sit out on. Three toilets to the property was a great advantage. The property is not overlooked. The journey to the property is along narrow lanes but with plenty of routes to choose from.“
