Great riverside family house
Great spot to explore the river for a family plus a dog. Using the boat was awesome as was fishing off the wharf. The house was spacious for a family of 5 plus a dog.

We had an amazing time, we enjoyed the house boat and Jetty. David the host was very helpful and accommodating. Location was great for all of us to get away together. The house was a good fit for 8 adults and well appointed, it is a little old and in need of maintenance but this didn’t detract from the stay

How's the serenity?
Peaceful spot a short hop from the busyness of Sydney. David was a wonderful host and we made the most of the boat, the firepit and the kitchen! Beautiful sunsets on the water, lovely walks and a nice outlook on to the water. Property is rustic as others have said, but it has everything you could need. The dog was very happy zoomie-ing around the fenced yard, too. Will definitely be back.

The house is right by the river, stunning location, really beautiful spot. The use of the boat is a great addition. Excellent host, extremely helpful, kind and thoughtful, great local tips and very generous with his property. Would definitely recommend a stay, and we’ll certainly be back!

Beautiful tranquil location
We had a great family time in this beautiful tranquil location close to Sydney. Bar Point provided a unique experience for us and our overseas visitors. Our host David was friendly and communicated regularly. We included the boat package which included our pick up from the jetty to the property. It was a wonderful way to start our break. The use of the boat to explore the waterways was brilliant and lots of fun. The property is spacious and lounge room comfortable. The games were fun and we enjoyed sitting by the fire pit or on the deck in the evening. The property is “rustic” . The amenities (appliances, linen and crockery ) have seen better days however with a bit of TLC and maintenance this would be an amazing property.

Beautiful location and wonderful host
My family and I had a fantastic stay at bar point. Situations on the point the views and access to the river are wonderful. David the host is friendly and truly aims to make the stay a perfect one. Local walks and hikes, along with great fishing and plenty of house games (pool, table tennis, air hockey, darts) made this a wonderful getaway for the family. Highly recommend for those looking for a relaxing get away.

Feels like a world away
We had an amazing weekend at this beautiful property. It was exactly what we needed. Less than an hour from Sydney, but feels a world away. Dave is a great host who gave us some great tips. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We'll be back!

Get disconnected & relax
WOW! We loved the experience. We had 2 kids, 6 adults and 3 dogs! They all enjoyed themselves and of course we went VIP package which was worth it. Everyone including the dogs enjoyed island hopping on the boat. If you feel to disconnect their is FREE Telstra phone near the post office so you can call whoever you like.

A holiday home with lots of fun and amazing host
Perfect location, east to drive to, super smooth communication with host David, he is always willing to help whenever needed, the house is situated on a beautiful island with private Jetty. Highly recommend getting the VIP boat hiring package, it’s the highlight of our stay. The house has everything you will need, and all the facilities listed. Definitely coming back.

Hawkesbury Long Weekend
I found this place by chance when researching venues in 2021 for a family/friends catch up. One year later, we finally were able to make the trip and it was well worth the wait. The house ticked all our boxes...relaxing vista, right size for the group, access to various entertainments (pool table, darts, kayaks, table tennis, pontoon boat) and indoor/outdoor fire pits. The latter had much use over the cool June Long Weekend! David was a fantastic host and made certain that we were well looked after. He even gave us a hand with the bags...of which we had a collection! Nothing was too much trouble and David's hospitality made for a very successful trip. I can thoroughly recommend David's house for perfect stays on the Hawkesbury.

Absolutely loved David’s place, it was clean, tidy and had all of the fun games and activities that are listed. The outdoor balconies are lovely in the morning, fire pit perfect at night too. There is so much to do in the area, with copious bush walks at the back of the house, a pier to fish off too. We did the VIP package and I would definitely recommend just to hear some of David’s wonderful stories.

Top spot for a weekend getaway.
So much to do, I was surprised, hiking (hike to lagoon is a must), kayaking (2 kayaks supplied), fishing (kids caught lots of fish from the jetty), the property has a pool table, ping pong table, dart board and there are plenty of games in the cabinets. There is a huge fire pit in the back yard (have to find your own wood though) and the location, right on the water is amazing...sitting on the jetty watching the sunset over he mountains....unforgettable. Definitely worth paying the extra for the use of the boat, the host picked us up and we had use of the boat all weekend, easy to use, anyone can drive it. The house itself could do with some repairs and is quite basic but if you overlook that, it was a great place to stay.

Excellent place to rewind
We group of 11 adults had an absolute time at the property. This place is heaven if you want to disconnect from the word and just rewind. The house got all the necessities with pool table and ping pong table. I must say that David the best host you can ever get. Very friendly and going out of his way to accommodate our ongoing request with a smile. As the property is only accessible via water, David was chauffeuring our groups couple of time. In fact we missed some item back at the property while checking out which we only notice once we were drop by David. David without hesitation went back to the property and brought back our left item. If you are looking for fully catered luxury this place isn’t for you, but if you are looking for a charming place to unwind with the family (including fur kids) with a superb view by the water, and a huge amount of activities available then I highly recommend David’s place. David himself is a wonderful host who couldn’t do more for us and was brilliant with the children.

We had a great stay at the house and particularly loved being by the water. David was a fantastic host and was always available to help when needed. Definitely recommend the vip package as the boat was much enjoyed. It can get quite hot in the rooms, however the aircon in the lounge works nicely. With lots of activities on hand, it was lots of fun for everyone. A nice getaway for family.

Fantastic weekender with heaps to do!
David was a friendly and accessible host who ensured we got the most out of our stay. Beautiful Bar Point
Within a short boat trip from Mooney Mooney boat ramp is this hidden gem Bar Point. The house itself is very well equipped with what seems like all the creature comforts to make you feel right at home. Enjoy a beautiful, peaceful outlook from the deck and retire to the comfy lounge room to choose a movie on Netflix OR challenge your friends to a game of pool. We enjoyed bushwalking, fishing, kayaking and exploring the Hawkesbury on our boat. David is an exceptional, helpful and accommodating host. We all can’t wait to return again. Highly recommend the stay here.
