„My husband is disabled and we don't get to get out much this little cabin was just what we needed we sat outside on the porch early morning watching the dark turn into light the sound of the water trees whistling in the wind the Canadian geese were beautiful cabin was so clean and nicely kept and the host was prompt with everything we needed I definitely found our favorite place thanks for making our 29th anniversary a memorable trip “

„Lovely peaceful setting on the river, quiet country setting. Access to surrounding towns was easy and I appreciated the list of businesses you provided. The views from the balconies were great as well. Managing the stairs with luggage was a bit challenging. Would be nice if owners could build out a bit of a landing zone at door height for luggage to sit on while you open the door. „This home was the absolute perfect spot for our family of 4 to meet up with our best friends (also a family of 4). There is plenty of room, the dining table accommodates big group meals, and the view was just incredible. We enjoyed hiking in the area and would love to come back! „This was our second stay. The cabin is great. Clean and comfortable. It is an ideal location for a base camp to hike many sections of the AT. We use Boots Off Hostel less than a mile down the road to shuttle us to and from various trail heads.The host is very quick to answer questions. The outside porches are wonderful for relaxing. Watauga lake is just down the road and there are several attractions near by if you want to do other activities. “

„Wonderful, magical stay. We were surrounded by woods, wildflowers, and waterfalls and enjoyed comfy indoor and outdoor spaces. The variety of bedrooms/ beds easily accommodated our group of assorted ages and connections. Great kitchen, with plenty storage and made for cooking. The fire pit area next to the water was perfect for gathering to visit, enjoy s’mores and breathe deeply. For our group, the Waterfall Lodge was a great value and exceeded expectations!“

„My family and I stayed at this beautiful mountain home over the Memorial Day weekend. This location is truly magical. A hidden gem. Far enough away that you get to get away from it all and dive into nature, but close enough to be able to seek out the culture of Asheville and surrounding areas. The communication from the owners was great and informative and the house was comfy and well-appointed. We wanted to stay longer.“

„We needed somewhere to unwind that we could also take our three fur babies. Couldn't have asked for a better escape! The sunrises, the sunsets, The horses right out the window. Just enough modern convenience blended in to an 1880's escape. Our fur babies loved the walks of the gravel driveway every morning and night. The horses would come over to greet us. Cuddling up to a warm fire was just the perfect touch to end each day. We plan to come back!“

„Truly enjoyed the views and remoteness of this home. Bedrooms had great comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked and felt like bone away from home. The only recommendation we would make is to have better more comfortable seating with better cushions for the indoor and outdoor furniture. We would absolutely consider coming back if the seating was more comfy.“
