Beyond Amazing
First, listen when you’re advised to have a driver. Best advice ever, but we rented a car. BIG MISTAKE! We’ve driven in RHD countries before, so we thought renting a car wouldn’t be a hassle. Both Apple Maps and Google Earth have a software problem staying on the cross island road. Apple Maps directed us onto a one lane road (with two way traffic) in the mountains. No guardrails, sheer drops, and oncoming trucks and motor scooters made for slow and dicey going. Then we hit a pothole and had a flat tire. It was dark and we didn’t even know where the jack was in the rental car. A kind Balinese family took care of us and found a mechanic who changed our tire in their yard. We arrived four hours late. We should have listened to Angelique… The Villa Mango Trees FAR EXCEEDED our expectations. Anik and the rest of the staff were attentive, friendly, courteous, and they did everything that they could to provide an enjoyable stay for us. Our only regret is that we didn’t book a longer visit.

Amazing stay in beautiful villa with great staff!
We rented this villa to celebrate Christmas with our family and it was perfect. The villa is beautiful, it is kept in tip top condition and the staff is there to either attend to your every need or to just be available as needed. It is a quiet part of the island with not a lot going on, just what we were looking for. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Fantastic Stay!
The Villa Mango Trees would get ten stars if I could! The online pictures and reviews were all very accurate. The Villa is very comfortable for a small group or large group. The beds were great and the view is amazing. Each morning they clean the black sand beach and the ocean is shallow and easy to swim in. The staff are the very best part. They made fantastic meals and I wanted for nothing while there. The hired driver was also great and I never worried about transportation. Angelique arranges everything to get your vacation off to a good start with no worrying about airport or hotel pickups. I prefer a more remote location and Lovina is not near Ubud and traffic is very bad so please look at a map before deciding where to stay in Bali. It is a 3-4 hour drive from the airport to the Villa. Each time I went to Ubud I couldn’t wait to get back north to the Villa. Book it for more time than you think because you won’t want to leave. Un coin de paradis
La villa est en tous points conforme à la description et nous y avons passé un séjour formidable. Le nord de Bali est resté authentique et nous avons pleinement profité de calme, de vues paradisiaques, d’activités variées, et d’une équipe chaleureuse et disponible qui s’occupe de tout dans la villa (cuisine, ménage, lessives, jardin, piscine, etc…). La villa est un peu excentrée mais ce n’est pas du tout un problème car tous les restaurants ou activités (nautiques ou autres) proposent toujours de venir vous chercher à la villa ce qui évite de louer voiture ou scooter. Nous recommandons sans réserve cette villa et y retournerons si nous en avons une prochaine occasion.

What luxury!
My partner and I spent 6 luxurious nights at Villa Mango Trees at the start of our trip. We were in desperate need of unwinding and relaxing and this was the place to do it. The highlight was the staff. Putu, Illu, Gede and Made made us feel welcome, safe and looked after. the meals we had cooked for us were the best we had during our stay in Bali. If it's your jam, insist on them preparing for you what THEY have for breakfast (closer to nasi goreng). The house and rooms were divine. The bathrooms were tropically delicious. The gardens were truly beautiful and the pool was great. The staff readily arranged the things we needed and wanted for us. We were made to feel a member of the family. We happily recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Perfect spot for a quiet vacation
My friends and I had no idea about which locations were popular with tourists and which ones were more isolated and quiet. Booked this one as the reviews were rave and the price was right. It did not disappoint. Bali was the tail end of our Asia trip and I am glad we booked this villa. It is far from the airport (~3 hour drive) but the owner will gladly arrange transport for you if you need it. Located on the northern coast, right on the beach..you will have spectacular views over the ocean, we even caught a few thunderstorms. The villa was immaculate with plenty of sun beds and a large pool to enjoy. The staff were amazing and happy to help us out with booking transportation/massages/tours and recommending things to do. One thing is the villa is a bit isolated so I recommend either renting a car or scooters as it is quite far (by foot) from the nearest town. However, the staff are happy to assist with this booking or getting you a driver who will take you around the island. All in all, would definitely recommend this villa if you want to keep away from the crowds of tourists and enjoy a nice relaxing trip to Bali.

Gorgeous property in a relaxing and beautiful setting
I had a wonderful time at this property. I spent 3 weeks alone there, a perfect retreat It was very beautiful, both inside and outside of the house. The sound of the surf was relaxing and the reflective surface of the pool was entrancing. The staff of wonderful and attentive to detail. The garden and pool were well taken care of and I felt safe at night with the watchman and well placed lighting. Iluh and Putu took excellent care of the house and of me. They cooked simple home style meals, and arranged everything for me including my massages, visits to town and to the Spice Beach Club for some variety. The manager of the property, Anik, even took my passport in to get an extension on the Visa. On the last day at their suggestion, I went to the nearby Buddhist temple and to the Hot Springs. I wish I had gone there earlier so I could have gone to them more once. My only complaint was a couple times when the next door neighbors rental had noisy children that woke me up early in the morning and adults that partied until fairly late. But that was only 3 or 4 days and I don't think there's anything that the owner of this villa could do about that. Most the time it was private and tranquil. Highly recommended.

Det var en mycket fin villa som hade två underbara hushållerskor som ordnade frukosten varje dag och dessutom om så önskades både lunch ock middag. Dom fina omgivningarna sköttes om en trädgårdsmästare tillika poolskötare. Säkerheten ombesörjdes av en nattvakt. Den enda nackdelen var att villan låg långt från butiker och restauranger vilket innebar att man skulle behöva ha tillgång till bil.

Heaven on Earth
This was our favorite place to stay in our travels. We loved the beautiful villa and grounds, the pool, the view, and especially the staff who never failed to greet us with a friendly smile. Our only regret is we didn't stay longer. Don't hesitate to book this villa. It is well worth the drive, and you will see a slice of Bali that is much more laid back and pristine than the normal tourist spots.

Everything advertised and more
Really, the listings do not do this lovely property justice. Very comfortable accommodation with everything you would need. Attentive, competent and friendly staff who enjoyed interacting with us and going above and beyond even inviting us to their Hindu temple on a major festival day. When we had issues with lost luggage Anek was very helpful and our driver, Tu Deh was very safe and personable. Overall, we loved our stay at Villa The Mango Trees and would highly recommend it to others.

Absolutely Perfect!!!
I can not say enough wonderful things about our stay at this property!! It was by far our favorite villa we rented in Bali!!! All staff were extremely kind and seemed committed to making our stay as comfortable as possible. The meals they cooked for us were delicious and plentiful. Everything was clean and appeared very well maintained. I had read some reviews stating the beach was dirty, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. And there had obviously been an effort to clean up the beach area in front of the villa. Highly recommend taking advantage of the early morning dolphin viewing. He will pick you up right on the beach by the property. We loved the pool and the gardens!!! Such a beautiful setting to enjoy relaxation and fun!! Would highly highly recommend this place to anyone!!

Great sea views.
Positives: The freshly squeezed chilled welcome drinks and initial impression of the villa is amazing once you get through the main gate. Views from the infinity pool and two main bedrooms are spectacular. The rooftop daybed affords even better views and is great for catching some of the refreshing sea-breezes. The property has very well maintained gardens and the positioning of the plants and trees give you quite a bit of privacy, even though it is right on the beach. The outdoor dining table and lounge were used as our primary hang-outs when we were not in the pool. The dolphin spotting trip and coral reef were well worth the early rise. Take some snorkelling gear as you may want to get a swim in on the way back. Negatives: Preparation cutlery needs to be replaced as many items had surface rust. Serving cutlery is fine. Two toilets seats (Main and bedroom off the main) need to be repaired as they are loose. Bedroom off main has inferior mattress to the great mattresses in the other rooms. The house next door is going through some renovations which is obviously out of control of the villa; but is worth noting. It wasn't a major issue as we were up early and they do stop in the afternoon. All in all the villa was really good for our family re-union and we would definitely look at renting it again as I'm sure the manager will sort out the minor issues mentioned.

Thank you for letting me know the suggestions to improve the villa and the service, we will take immediate actions to replace the preparation cutlery, repair the two toilet seats that are loose and to replace the inferior mattress in one bedroom. Lucky the renovations of the house next door is finished the end of this month so there is no nuisance anymore. We are very sorry you have this inconvenience during your stay. The staff were incredible - always coming up with nice, unexpected touches and could not have been more helpful. The meals they cooked were fantastic and when we went to many restaurants they made all the arrangements for us. Villa is stunning. As good as it gets!
This is an amazing property. What ever listed is accurate and it looks much better than the photos! The staff were excellent as well and we did not feel unsafe in this open location. If you stay here, remember to book a dolphin trip from the property manager. You board the boat right in front of the villa, and the boatman stayed longer than most other boats to get close to the dolphins! The location is a little far but this is what we are in for!

Onbeschrijflijk mooi uitzicht op de Bali zee!
Prachtige villa, prachtig zwembad, prachtige kamers, prachtige badkamers, heerlijke douches, prachtige tuin, lief en behulpzaam personeel. Wij hebben er met 7 volwassenen en 2 kindjes heerlijke dagen doorgebracht! Minder: onreine keuken naar onze begrippen. Wij vonden uitwerpselen in de keukenlades en overal op de grond. Het huishoudelijk personeel had in de keuken een soort van 'muizenval' gemaakt met kleefmateriaal op een plankje waarop restant etenswaren gelegd waren geplakt. De val lag open en bloot in de keuken. Niet erg hygienisch met 2 kindertjes van 2 en 3 jaar!

Village the Mango Trees is Heaven!
Our family vacation included 4 adults and three children, the youngest age three. This beautiful home accommodated is extremely well. The garden and pool were absolutely stunning and incredibly relaxing. Close accommodation to shopping and dining in Lovina Beach made for much to do. Our family took a snorkeling adventure based on recommendations from the villa staff and it did not dissapoint. Absolutely world class excursion to the near by island. The staff is incredibly amazing! They took care of us as if we were family! Thank you all for our week stay in paradise!

Amazing Villa
Me and my husband spent 5 nights at the villa and loved it. On arrival it was jaw dropping! very large and spacious with the most amazing view!. Putu and Ilhu were great and cooked amazing food, they cared and looked after you. Although the setting of the villa is amazing we did find the overall location a little remote for us, we like to walk to local bars and restaurants but you would need a taxi or catch a bus. We ate at the Beach Spice Garden under recommendation and used the free shuttle service, this was great and the food very good but expensive. Overall we had a wonderful stay, the villa is kept spotless and the pool and garden area immaculate.. if I was to be really picky the only thing I would change would be the towels, for a villa of this standard they were quite tired and old. I should also mention the bed was so comfortable and best nights sleep on the whole of our trip! memory foam mattress and pillows and air-conditioning that worked well :-) thanks for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic place . Loved every minute.
The property was everything that we expected . A little difficult to get your bearings for the first day , but after that It's great. Some good local restaurants if you ask around , And a 30 minute drive into the hills is well worth it especially Git Git waterfall. You can swim there as well if your that way inclined . The staff are very helpful and friendly . The beach is a little little disappointing but still reasonably clean and swimmable. Very relaxing though.
