The Space:

Tui Cottage is a two-bedroom property surrounded by mature native trees in Onetangi. Accommodation is divided between the main cottage and a separate sleepout accessed externally through the garden.



The main cottage has an open-plan living and kitchen area with large windows overlooking the surrounding bush. The kitchen is set up for preparing meals at the property, and a coffee plunger and coffee are provided.



Wide decks provide outdoor lounge and dining areas. A BBQ and an outdoor fish-preparation bench are also available.



The primary bedroom is located in the main cottage and has a super-king bed and access to its own deck.



The second bedroom is in a separate sleepout located a short walk from the main cottage. It has a queen bed and its own bathroom with a shower and toilet. The sleepout is accessed externally and is not connected internally to the main cottage.



The main cottage has a second bathroom with a shower and toilet.



On-site parking is available.

Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the cottage, sleepout, surrounding gardens, outdoor lounge and dining areas, BBQ, and parking area.

Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request for a small fee, this can only be confirmed closer to your stay depending on bookings before and after yours.



The Neighborhood:

Tui Cottage is set in a leafy, quiet part of Onetangi, offering a peaceful setting while remaining close to the beach and local amenities. Onetangi Beach is an easy walk away and is known for its long white sand, gentle swimming conditions, and relaxed beachfront atmosphere.



Nearby are popular dining spots including Charlie Farley’s, Three Seven Two, and local takeaway options. Several well known vineyards are also close by, including Tantalus Estate, Wild on Waiheke, Te Motu, Stonyridge, and Obsidian. The Heke Brewery and Distillery is nearby and popular for casual dining and craft drinks. Ostend, with supermarkets and additional services, is a short drive away.



Getting Around:

Waiheke is easy to explore by car, e-bike, or bus.



The Onetangi bus stop is a short walk away, with buses running through Onetangi and inland past vineyards such as Tantalus, Stonyridge, Wild on Waiheke, and The Heke Brewery, before continuing on to Oneroa Village and the Matiatia passenger ferry.



Taxis and shuttles are available but limited during peak times.



Parking is available at the property.



Other Things to Note:

The second bedroom and its bathroom are located in a separate sleepout. Guests must walk outside between the sleepout and the main cottage.



Pets may be considered with prior approval. A $250 pet bond applies. Approval must be obtained before arrival.



This is a self-catered holiday property. A starter supply of toilet paper, coffee, tea and milk is provided for arrival. Guests are responsible for purchasing any additional supplies required during their stay.



Beach towels are not provided, so guests should bring their own for beach use.



The property operates on rainwater tanks. Guests are asked to use water carefully, particularly during dry periods.



Minimum-stay requirements apply:



Seven nights from mid-December to mid-January

Three nights over holiday weekends

Two nights at all other times
