Nice quiet stay
Accommodation was great. Nice and quiet surroundings. Kayaks were included in the price. Well equipped. Only towels and linen you needed to bring. It depends on the people who used it before if there is soap and rubbish bags, etc. available or not. Fruit trees to use :) Fast and good comminication with the host.

Peace & Tranquility
Lovely little house to stay in, perfect for my sister & I. Would happily stay again. Bed super comfy, loved sitting in bed looking at the water. The only problem we had was we could not get the hobs to work! probably something silly we were doing, but the microwave worked so all good. Stunning outlook. Really nice place and would happily go again. Thank you for sharing with us.

Peace at the Beach
A very simple and very effectively designed Bach. Very clean and tidy Every thing there one could wish for.Making the modern oven work was an impossible mission for a couple of oldies. Wonderful shower and comfortable bed Thank you for a great stay and would happily recommend it.Great location.

Perfect for family
Great little house, lots of outdoor space for kids to run around and across the road from beach and playground. House is well set up with all the basics. Was a very easy and comfortable weekend away with three adults and a 2yo. Will book again!

Simple stay without a worry. Tidal Boat ramp 100m down the road. Walk across the road to the beach and plenty of space for parking.

Awesome getaway.
Fantastic location for relaxing, beach & play ground just across the road, Shops , Museums & more nice & close. Comfortable beds. Didn't use Kayaks , too busy relaxing. Heaps of bird life. We will go again.

Another lovely visit
Returned for our second visit and found the bach and location to be as nice as we remembered! We loved taking the kayaks out exploring the mangroves, swimming and paddle boarding in the bay, and gathering cockles at low tide. Location is also excellent, Tawharanui/Anchor Bay, Matakana, Omaha and Leigh/Goat Island all within a short drive. We'd love to be back again the same time next year!

Yellow bach in Campbell's Beach
Such a fabulous stay across the road from the beach and playground. Great bach with everything you need. Great rooms and deck for dinner. Loved the umbrella, kayaks, heat pump, coffee machine. The location was perfect and fun to explore on the kayak. The bay was safe for little children.

What a find!, this is a gorgeous little bach in a quiet safe bay. A last minute bonus for New Year, the owner and his family went above and beyond to make the stay easy for me and my family. We really enjoyed staying here. The house was the perfect size for our small family, and the basketball and kayaks were an extra bonus. The owner clearly loves this place and provided lots of useful information including on the local birds. We would definitely cime back here.

Magical Place

When Miss 11 gets to be Miss 18 she will prefer Waiheke or Whangamata but when she has her own Master or Miss 11, she will remember the yellow bach and will look for a holiday place like that. And thanks for leaving the place lovely and clean.

Easy, comfortable stay
This is a great low-key bach to stay with kids. Wonderful spot beside the sea and really easy to settle into, and then pack out of again. The boys are keen to go back and use the kayaks some more :)

Such a great place. We loved the peace & quiet - although there is a small road between the bach and beach, during our stay just 2 or 3 vehicles a day used this (Monday to Friday, don't know about the weekends). - We walked in the door and on the bench was a folder telling us all we needed to know about the bach and the area in general. And also there is a folder containing the handbooks for each appliance. So helpful! - For us, one of the variables of staying in a place new to us is the taste/quality of drinking water. These guys have a water purifier. - Water pressure in the shower is one of the best we have had. - A 10 minute drive to Matakana where we discovered two artisan bakeries and good coffees was a real bonus. - We never attempt to repeat a holiday experience, we love discovering new places, but we are seriously considering a return visit here. - We are in awe of people who are happy to share their personal space with us.

Actually, original seaside baches like the Yellow Bach are becoming increasingly rare. Most have been ripped down to build mega beach houses. The Yellow Bach is the kind of thing that our grandparents or parents took us to. Smaller and simpler but on the water. It doesn't make good economics sense to have a bach like this but we like it and get pleasure from learning that other people have enjoyed their stay. We have owned it for 25 years and never had a problem so it must have some good vibes.

Relaxing family getaway
My wife and I along with our two children (18 months, 3 years) had a wonderful time relaxing at the bach. It was clean and tidy, well appointed and super cosy, and the view just amazing. Along with the big front lawn, the playground right across the road made for lots of outdoor fun and activities with the kids. The beds are comfy and it's so nice and dark and quiet at night - my daughter and I enjoyed sitting outside together looking at the stars. The heat pump keeps the whole place super warm when the temperature drops too. A classic kiwi bach getaway, just what we needed. We will be back for sure - thanks for having us! Oh, and the oranges are delicious.

Amazing Place
As always, this place is a joy. Close to the beach, quiet and unassuming. You don't feel the need to put on airs and graces, you can just relax. The owners are wonderful. The only downside is, if it's been a really rainy year like this one, you'll need to park on the roadside or chance ruining the lawn like me, or getting stuck.

Always magical!
Fourth visit. Comfy bach. Beautiful view. Great sunset. Owner very easy to deal with. We had a wonderful one week stay and enjoyed our walks between Campbell Beach and Baddeleys Beach as well as in Tawharanui Regional Park. So close to Auckland yet one feels completely disconnected from city life.

Fantastic spot for doing nothing but relaxing with the view. Only thing is it says sleeps 5 but there are two queen beds and a leather couch so in reality sleeps 4, not suitable for a group of 4 people unless couples. However we loved it.

Secret spot with everything you need
Really well equipped, nicer than photos. Great BBQ, induction stove, abundant fruit trees and arrived to it being super clean. We really appreciated being able to retreat to the peace and quiet, yet super close to the crowds of Matakana and Tawharanui. Kids loved the playground and the TV! Loved seeing the resident kaka - very special.
