Relativ neue Unterkunft, daher in sehr gutem Zustand, sodass man sich wohl fühlt. Größter Nachteil: die zur Straße ausgerichteten Zimmer haben keine „normalen“ Vorhänge. Man fühlt sich daher wie „auf dem Präsentierteller“, zumal sich vor manchen Zimmern Parkplätze befinden und entsprechend häufig Leute „mal kurz reinschauen“. Wir fanden es sehr störend. Privatsphäre gleich null! Einzige Möglichkeit: Verdunkelungsvorhänge zuziehen und Licht anschalten. Alternativ die deutlich teureren Zimmer zur Meer-Seite buchen, die allerdings eine schöne Aussicht bieten. Insgesamt hätten wir bei den Zimmerpreisen etwas mehr erwartet, sind aber unterm Strich dennoch zufrieden. Sehr freundlicher Empfang.

Hotel-zimmer supi, Hotel-Restaurant zu teuer
Härziges Zimmer mit schöner Aussicht. In der Bestätigung steht: Tägliche Zimmerreinigung. Unser Zimmer wurde aber nicht gereinigt, wir waren 2 Nächte dort. Früshtück war lecker ausser der Filterkaffee konnten wir nicht trinken. Wir haben dann einen Kaffee an der Baar bestellt(Kaffeemaschinen), mussten aber 500ISK dafür bezahlen. Abendessen war sehr gut aber auch für Isländische Verhältnisse etwas teuerer, auch die Portionen waren etwas klein. Wir hatten eine Suppe zur Vorspeise und Fisch mit Süsskartoffelpüree und Gemüse zum Hauptgang. Das Süsskartoffelpüree war 2 Teelöffel gross. Somit mussten wir noch einen Dessert bestellen, da wir noch Hunger hatten. Üernachten würden wir wieder dort aber in einem anderen Restaurant essen. Leider hat es nurnoch 2 Fish&Chips Restaurant in der Nähe, um in einem anderen Restaurant zu essen müsste man darum weiter weg fahren.

This was such a unique place to stay. The setting is incredible with a cliffside walk right outside. The room was quite small and no extra pillows or blankets, and it was really utilitarian but fine. The restaurant food was mediocre at best but I understand why it's so expensive because it's soooo rural. If you stay here keep in mind that there's not really anything around for over an hour. BUT, we saw a spectacular northern lights display around 8pm and it was absolutely one of the highlights of the trip so far. I'm not sure I'd drive that far out of the way to stay there again but it was memorable and unique so I'm glad we did.

We liked this hotel. It was very clean and comfy. Nice bed. We saw the aurora borealis just outside our room, that was amazing! We didn't have the best experience with the breakfast. Eggs were gone and when we asked the lady about them she wasn't very nice about it. Otherwise I believe they are a very good choice to stay around the area!

Very nice!
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience. The room was nice and had a good atmosphere. It was clean and modern, leaning more towards basic rather than chic. The location, though, was truly beautiful and perfect for witnessing the mesmerizing Aurora Borealis. One thing to note is that the restaurant closes at 9 pm, so be sure to arrive before then or have some food with you, as there are no dining options nearby. Other than that, it's a great place for nature enthusiasts and Aurora chasers.

Highly recommended; we had a 'Double Standard Room' that was nice and comfortable, one room in a four room building. The restaurant at the property was really good and convenient. Gorgeous property. The best one we stayed on all holiday. Beautiful and very comfortable rooms. Walk the sea cliffs just outside your door. Good food at the 3 on-site restaurants.

Stayed for one night. Great location for glacier climb and whale watching on north side of peninsula. Clean room- very small for three beds. Almost no place to put luggage. Lav. water cold which seemed odd (shower is warm). Wished that breakfast options had opened earlier with more take away options (expensive buffet was only option). Nice minimal modern design in the landscape.
