„Property beautifully presented, high level of cleanliness, nearly everything equipped just missing a couple of kitchen items, like small plates and heat protector stands. Price was expensive due to our original 2 week holiday which was booked 6 months in advance being cancelled 2 weeks prior to holiday date, which lead to booking this property as only property available on the Isle of Skye which made it expensive for a week!!“

„We really enjoyed the cottage because it was ideal for the wet and cold weather conditions we experienced during our week on Skye. The spacious but warm living room with great view, big tv media system and lots of books meant it was easy to spend time in the house without feeling couped up. It is fairly far along the road but this comes with the plus of extra peace and quiet. We'd love to visit again.“

It's located just a 15 minute drive north of Portree (the main town) making it very central and accessible to most areas of interest. The cottage is located on a very quiet lane with views over the hills and the loch. It has a secure garden which was great for the dog. „Simply Outstanding. Don't go by the over- or under-photoshopped pics. The place is extremely comfortable, well-sized, with a plush bathroom, all imaginable amenities, the nicest kitchen we have seen, and amazing views. Please don't forget to gaze at the stars at night. We stayed in the Learach room. Since this is the located the "lowest" of all cabins, it gets the least amount of afternoon / evening sun and limited views of the water from outside, but we didn't mind. “

"Drei Nächte 1.-4.5 für CHF 470.00 dafür kein einziges Mal Zimmerreinigung, Betten gemacht, WC Papier aufgefüllt. Duschen nicht machbar bei Körpergrösse mehr als 1.50cm, Tische im Frphstücksraum ungepflegt, werden spät oder gar nicht geputzt… Fazit: Bei Familien und Bustouristen beliebtes Hotel. Gute Lage. Schottische kleine Göstehöuser haben uns mehr überzeugt als dieses Renovationsbedürftige Hotel… zudem sind die kleineren Gästehäuser preiswerter und bieten einen besseren Gesamtservice."

"Insgesamt hat es uns sehr gut im Bracken Hide gefallen. Dass man seine eigene kleine "Kapsel" hat, ist schon sehr angenehmt. Die Sonne scheint morgens durch die Glasfront in die Zimmer, sodass man einen schönen Ausblick hat, wenn man aufwacht und auf den See schaut. Die Lage war auch super und es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze vor Ort. Auf Wunsch wird einem das Gepäck auch mit einem Goldcart zu den Zimmern gefahren. Das Abendessen (nicht inklusive) sowie das Frühstück waren sehr lecker. Die Annehmlichkeiten wie z.B. die Sauna waren unkompliziert zu buchen und sehr schön."

"Our experience at this hotel was unfortunately very disappointing. When we arrived, the window in our room was open and the room was completely cold. We had to figure out how to program the electric heating system ourselves before going to dinner. After spending about two hours in the restaurant (the food was good), we returned to find the room temperature still around 10°C. I went to reception and asked for another room that would be properly heated. However, the manager did not believe me and insisted on checking the room personally. Eventually, four staff members came to the room while my children (12 and 23y) were already in bed under the duvets trying to stay warm. Instead of offering a different room, they brought three electric fan heaters. While the heaters helped slightly, the room itself – including the walls, ceiling, and beds – remained very cold. We even had to fill bottles with hot water to get the bed for our daughter warm. I personally couldn’t sleep until 4 a.m. It seems the hotel relies entirely on electric heating and may be trying to limit its use due to cost, which should not affect guests—especially at this price level. We paid €369.46 for one night in a two-bedroom room for two adults and one child. For a 4-star hotel, this level of comfort and service is simply unacceptable. Unfortunately, due to this experience and the lack of proper response from management, I would not recommend this h"
