Sauberes Hotel in guter Lage. Sehr nettes Personal. Ich rief wegen eines Parkplatzes an und dachte, das Auto würde in einem der Parkhäuser in der Altstadt untergebracht werden. Das Auto wurde in der Nähe des Hotels abgeholt. Später entdeckte ich das Auto am Hafen vor einem saisonal geschlossenen Hotel. Dafür finde ich Parkgebühren von 20 €/ Nacht (im November!) sehr teuer. Ich denke, eines der Parkhäuser innerhalb der Altstadt wäre sicher preiswerter und zudem bewacht bzw, abgesperrt. Das war das einzige Manko. Ansonsten tolles Hotel und guter Service.

Bezaubernd, tolle Mitarbeiter und sehr sauber!
Ein wirklich tolles Hotel mitten im Städtcheb. Das Zimmer wurde täglich mit viel Engagement hergerichtet. Ich habe schon Hotels mit mehr Sternen gebucht, das Antica Repubblica hat Charme und alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, unglaublich hilfsbereit aber nie aufdringlich. Das Zimmer direkt mit Balkon auf die "Einkaufsmeile" ist nicht jedermanns Sache, bei geschlossenem Fenster schläft es sich jedoch sehr gut. Den Preis finde ich angemessen, Ferien in Amalfi sind kein "Schnäppchen". Obschon der Transfer nicht vom Hotel gebucht wurde und es Probleme gab, hat die Receptionistin alles unternomnen, den Transfer noch rechtzeitig sicherzustellen :-) Die Ausflugs-, Essens- und Museumstipps waren sehr gut. Ein Rundum-Sorglos- und Genusspaket, dieses Hotel.

Absolut mitten in Amalfi
Nur wenige Schritte vom Dom, dem absoluten Zentrum Amalfis, entfernt. Eine praktischere Lage gibt es nicht für einen kurzen Aufenthalt (wir waren drei Nächte dort). Wenn man mit dem Auto anreist, ist es zunächst einmal etwas chaotisch für einen Deutschen, mitten durch die Fußgängerzone das Hotel anzufahren. Man sollte kurz vorher im Hotel anrufen, dann hilft einem der Concierge. Dadurch war es überhaupt kein Problem. Das Zimmer lag zur geschäftigen Haupt-"straße", war aber durch hervorragende Fenster absolut ruhig. Frühstück gibt es auf der Dachterrasse, die über Treppen zu erreichen ist.

Christian was extremely helpful and responsive. The "90 steps" property was wonderful. The shower was the first, big, good water pressure, plenty of hot water shower I've had to date in Italy. The place has style, charm and it perfectly located in Amalfi. If you don't like the 90 steps then you probably won't like the Amalfi coast as every town is the land of stairs.

A very nice property crammed- like everything else in Amalfi - into a small and mostly vertical space. The room was a triumph of shoehorning with a separated shower and bathroom. That all having been said the proprietor was a very nice person and the rooftop terrace where breakfast was located was also very nice. I’d stay here again.

Our stay was positive over all. Amalfi is a very expensive area so if you are working on a budget, this is a good option. The staff was WONDERFUL! Christian was so helpful and he assisted with planning our time while visiting. The breakfast was great and the location was perfect. The building is clean, humid and simple. Like I said, the price of our stay didn't allow for luxury but the location made-up for it. Walking to everything was worth it!

Ok, this hotel is tricky to rate, in one hand the location was great, right in the middle of the town, a short walk to the cathedral and beach, also the guy in the lobby was very helpful and the room was spacious and clean, we arrange to be picked up from and to the airport and it was fast and pleasant, ($120 each way for 2 people), but there are some issues to be aware of: the breakfast was just ok, the 2 ladies attending to it were very nice, but there’s not a lot of choices and some items like cold cuts, cheese and bread run out quickly and sometimes it is never replenish or not in time for you to enjoy it, the bathroom had a smell all the time, even though it was clean, still smelled like sewer, also the toilet seat wasn’t the right one for that toilet, all the jetted tubs you see in the pictures don’t work (at least mine didn’t) room “el conte” and according to what I was told non work. Also in the website pictures shows a small table and 2 chairs but there were not in the room. The bed was comfortable but they need new towels today!!! It will scratch your face… I’ve been in many hotels in Italy and in many cities in over 20 different countries, and let me tell you Italian hotels are weird, even the good ones…internet is ok about 70mbps. If I come back to Amalfi, I will consider this hotel again, but only because there’s not a lot of choices if you don’t want to spend $2000 usd per night and for the location.

Hi Adrian,thank you for your review. I answer only for the tub. You paid for a tub not a hydro massage tub. Why? Because the memory card of the hydro massage tub doesn't work and I don't find it because the store is failed.

after 1 week if you don't open the fan in the bathroom is normal the condention.The bathroom is without window. I repeat one time again mold is mold the condention is condention. The apartment is new.When you went way I clean the wall and now is clean. Christiano (the manager) was AMAZING! He helped my daughters and I with our transfers from/to the airport, helped us plan our site seeing and gave us tips to get around easier. I was a bit nervous about the size of the hotel (very small, small rooms) at first but very pleased once I arrived. This hotel is clean, quaint and close to everything you need for an Amalfi coast trip. Ferry, bus, taxi are all just a a couple blocks away. This hotel is situated in the perfect area of Amalfi. You are surrounded by cute local shops, the square where you can listen to live music, great restaurants and a beautiful boardwalk for your evening stroll. They had a breakfast each morning on the roof which offered your basic morning items. Coffee, pastries, cheeses, meats, freshly wueezednorange juice and homemade inlets to your liking. They also offered a variety of fruit and juices and everything was fresh and delicious. You really get a sense of life in Amalfi by staying here. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Spacious unit very far away from waterfront.
This property is not located near city center as listed. It is a very far walk from downtown Almafi. The apartment is large and clean but it’s best to hire a taxi to take you up the hill with your bags.

The Hotel is the main property and it is in the center of Amalfi at 50 mt from cathedral and 100 from the ocean. You booked an apartment,when you booked, you 've read at 600 mt and 14 steps? Or you've read only the price? Why we wrote 600mt and 14 steps? Why? On all the web sites there is wrote. The next time please read all informations and after you will book the room.

Our stay at this property was extremely enjoyable. It is easily accessible to ferries, the beach, shopping, and dining. Staff are incredibly helpful with advice and finding services. Our room was cute and comfortable. Outside seating areas and the rooftop breakfast area are an added bonus. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Antica Republica. Let me start by saying that Christian is simply fantastic! He is super helpful in making sure we know how to get there, things to do around, and helped coordinate everything. We had a 2 bedroom place. Great location, clean, safe. Breakfast on the terrace was great too.

HORRIBLE PLACE-DO NOT STAY HERE
This was the worst part of our Italy trip. We had reserved a "Delux Apartment" for my husband and me. A couple of days before we arrived we called in to ask for an extra room as my girlfriend wanted to drive us and stay over. The reception guy Christian said he had an extra room and reserved it for her and the day we arrived he said the room was not available and was pushing us to have my girlfriend stayed in our apartment with us!! AND charged her extra $85 Euros to stay in our living room! We din to have privacy as she needed a place to stay. On top of that, he was rude uncommunicative and taking advantage of the situation (be aware of the south.) Poor and tasteless breakfast (hard to do in the area) And served on the terrace/roof super hot. The apartment bathroom was clogged with both shower and zinks, with no pressure water. The location was awful the farthest in all Amalfi!! Believe me! And It is about 250 steps up from the street impossible without a man and they do not help you- and about 25 minutes walk from the main road. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Traumatic experience.

LIE, LIE, LIE. We in the South (and also racist) were born for hospitality, We in the South live with tourism. The customer booked an apartment on the Hotel.com website where everything is highlighted, 650 meters and 59 steps, you can check very well, (no 250 steps BUGIARDA). 2 days before arrival, a friend of Mrs. I checked in at 8:30 am I called her friend and told her I hadn't found anything. She replied that she was providing for herself. night with breakfast. The apartment was booked for 2 not for 3. At 7 pm the customers arrived in Amalfi complaining that they wanted a room in the hotel and I replied that they had booked the apartment. I asked my friend: Did she find some sleep? She still replied no. After 11 hours she still hadn't tried to sleep. Why? I replied that to enter the apartment she had to give me a document and within 1 hour let me know if she was sleeping with her friend. She practically slept 2 nights. You decided to let her sleep in the apartment, not me. The breakfast was not to her liking and in the whole area of ​​Amalfi we do not know how to serve breakfast. We serve breakfast on the terrace, thank goodness it's included in the price. Amalfi is in the SOUTH. I see that she didn't write that I helped her, free of charge, with 2 bags weighing at least 30 kg each. I remind you that I am the Manager of the Hotel not the porter. In Amalfi the luggage service costs 10 euros per bag. We in the SOUTH know how to live and when we see a person in difficulty we help him. You learn to live, LIE and RACIST.

The place is quiet and at distance from the noisy Main Street. However, it is just minutes away from the best action in Amalfi. The best thing is Christian, the property manager, who can be your best guide and host around.

Tutto perfetto, consigliatissimo!
Un soggiorno di soli due notti ma perfette, l'hotel è in pieno centro, camera molto carina e dotata di tutti i comfort, colazione in terrazza varia tra dolce e salato con personale molto affabile, pronto ad esaudire ogni esigenza...sempre accolti con un sorriso e massima disponibilità, un posto che in pratica coccola ancora gli ospiti. Consigliatissimo.
