„We loved our stay in Marfa! This property has an unbeatable location right off the main drag, with so many shops within a 5 minute walk. It's right across the street from the Hotel Paisano, and a three minute walk to the Hotel St. George, both of which have excellent bars and restaurants, you can drive in 3 minutes to Marfa Burrito, Moonlight Gemstones, The Water Stop, and Cactus Liquors. „Enjoyed our stay, cabin was very clean and stocked with everything you need. The host stopped by while we were outside and introduced herself and husband. Enjoyed the wildlife (mule deer) and had a beautiful rainbow the first night and a gorgeous sunrise the next morning. “

„I hadn’t been to Alpine in 30 years, so when I booked this spot, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The location is fantastic with the grocery store around the corner. There is parking for two vehicles behind the home, and the house is fully fenced. The backyard is quiet and was great for a morning coffee and bird watch! „Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The night skies are SO dark and the stargazing was truly breathtaking. The house was very comfortable. The beds and linens were comfy and there were plenty of towels provided. The kitchen is nicely equipped for any meal, and we used it frequently as there aren't many restaurants in the area. „ If your looking to get away from it all - and everyone - and you wished to visit Terlingua, Big Bend , the Chihuahuan desert, Lajitas, and Presido…. This is the spot. I had looked at 3-5 other spots. I saw those places on this trip. Research pays off. The Stargazer is off to itself. Quiet. Peaceful solitude. The views and sunrise/sunsets are second to none . Excellent hosts. Felt very taken care of. “

„The title says it all, there is absolutely no light pollution at Casa Tranquilla!!! I was there with another member of TAAS (The Albuquerque Astronomical Society) and we imaged with our telescopes and brought home over 20 hours of integration. If you know Bortles Class we were pulling down 21.40's-21.62 on our SQM each night putting it at Bortles 2-3. However it felt much dark and there wasn't any part of the sky that was not viewable! "Wie hatten zwei wundervolle Nächte in Bobs Unterkunft. Er selbst war stets sehr hilfreich und hat auch sofort geantwortet und geholfen, als wir kurz eine neue Gasflasche brauchten.Das Objekt war leicht zu finden, auch wenn es eine gute Zeit zu fahren ist bis man da ist. Dafür ist es sehr ruhig und Bob hat ein paar Installationen, wo auch Tiere hinkommen. So gibt es beispielsweise eine Vogeltränke und Vogelfutter und auch ein Wasserbecken wo Abend ein Javelina und ein Koyote waren. Super Nächte, aber man sollte Einsamkeit und wilde Tiere mögen und achtsam mit der Natur sein. danke Bob! "
