„Sehr schönes Haus mit Garten und Stühlen sowie Tisch am Eingang zur sehr ruhigen Straße hin, wo man auch ein Blick aufs Meer erhaschen kann. Craster ist dazu ein kleines ruhiges Fischdorf mit einem hervorragendem Fischrestaurant ( The Jolly Fishermen) und sehr netten Leuten. Für die Kinder war es toll, dass ein Kinderspielplatz nur knapp 15 m vom Haus entfernt war“

„Loved Pyg Pen Cottage. Rock is a great central but quiet location close enough to Craster, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Beadnell as well as the Alnwick shops and Castle. Communication with the owner was exceptionally good. The property was spotless and very homely for the family with the kitchen well equipped. The enclosed long grassy garden in a quiet village location was ideal for our young Labrador, with an on your doorstep off-road 2.5km woodland loop being a bonus. For dog lovers looking for ...

„This is a great house for friends or family. Beautifully presented with very comfortable beds, sofas and chairs. The location is excellent for walking the coastal path, and Craster was quiet and welcoming, with good food at the Holly Fisherman. Even blue skies and sunshine! „We were in town to see the Alnwick Gardens, and this home was perfect for that - roughly 15 minutes door to door. Also easy walking distance to Barter Bookstore, and several restaurants and grocery stores. We have 5 people, so having separate beds and 2.5 bathrooms was a great size for us. We cooked. We did laundry. We sat on the back patio enjoying the weather and the birds. Property management was responsive and helpful. Absolutely would stay here again, when visiting Alnwick. “

„Lovely property, happy with everything but an overriding smell of mould that affected our breathing and it smelt awful. The owner brought in a dehumidifier, but there is a clear underlying fault with the property and some damp proof work needs to be done urgently. “

"Tolle Lage für Ausflüge, schöner großer Garten, das Restaurant im Hause hatte gute Angebote. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals war sehr gut. Dennoch: Wie 4 Sterne zu rechtfertigen sind, bleiben mir unverständlich. Die großen Flecken im Fußboden im Flur, abgerissene Tapeten, die sehr staubigen und z.T. klebrigen Flächen im Zimmer waren eine Zumutung. Die Entlüftung im WC war sehr laut und hielt sicher nicht nur uns nachts mindestens 15 Minuten wach. Es wären dringende Renovierungen nötig und eine Steigerung im Saubermachen. Warum dennoch ein mittelmäßiges Urteil? Das Zimmer war relativ groß, hatte zwei Stühle und ein sehr breites Doppelbett. Das Frühstück war okay. "
