Besser geht nicht!
Wir waren zum ersten Mal in Carolines Wohnung und waren total begeistert! Die Wohnung hat eine ruhige, zentrale Lage und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick von der Terrasse aus über den Hafen von Alvor bis hin zum Meer und zur Nachbarstadt Lagos. Die drei Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll und absolut sauber eingerichtet und man hat das Gefühl von "Luxus" in dieser Wohnung. Die Kommunikation mit Caroline und Marta war vorbildlich! Beide waren zu jeder Zeit ansprechbar und haben stets bei allen Fragen spontan und kompetent geholfen. Wir können diese Wohnung nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Besser geht nicht!

Lage, Lage, Lage - für uns der perfekte Ort in Alvor.
Wunderbare Unterkunft in Alvor. Absolutes Highlight ist der oberste Stock der Casa - Wohnzimmer/"Lounge" und Terasse. Konnten im Dezember draußen frühstücken. Bei schlechterem Wetter kann man stundenlang auf der Coach verweilen, die Möwen und das Meer beobachten, lesen, entspannen und Portwein geniessen oder in den Restaurants um die Ecke hervorragend Essen. Die Fußbodenheizung sorgt auch im Winter für wohlige und angenehme Temperaturen. Super unkomplizierte Kommunikation mit dem Host, auch in Abwesenheit. Vielen Dank an Marta! Doro & Daniel

Perfekter Aufenthalt
Helen und Neil haben uns herzlich empfangen. Die Kommunikation mit ihnen im Vorfeld war sehr gut. Das Haus ist schön eingerichtet und bietet alles was man braucht. Ausgezeichnet ist auch die Lage. Zu Fuss erreichbar sind Restaurants, Supermarkt und andere Geschäfte. Die Haupteinkaufsstraße ist um die Ecke.

Dieses kleine Häuschen liegt wunderschön im alten Ortskern von Alvor und bietet alles was man für einen tollen Urlaub hat . Wir haben es sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder !

Kleines schönes Haus im Ort mit wunderbarem Blick
Abseits der Touristenhochburgen an der Algarve ist der Aufenthalt im kleinen "Weißen Haus" von Helen und Neil in Alvor, auch im November und Dezember, eine sehr erholsame Alternative. Das Haus ist, wie beschrieben, klein und ja, die Treppe erfordert fitte Besucher, aber die Ausstattung und Lage ist sehr gut. In der Küche gibt es alle möglichen technischen Gerätschaften, eine Waschmaschine inkl. Trockner steht zur Verfügung. Kochen ist möglich. Aber bei der großen Auswahl an Restaurants oder einfachen Lokalen (auch wenn Ende November, Anfang Dezember einiges geschlossen ist), in denen es wunderbar gegrillten Fisch gibt, wäre das fast eine Sünde. Wir haben den Ausblick von der Terasse bei bestem Sonnenschein und bis zur Beobachtung des Sonnenunterganges sehr genossen. Zum Strand ist es nicht weit und Sonntags kann man schon vom Fenster aus die Aufbauarbeiten für den kleinen Bauernmarkt verfolgen. Wie überall in Portugal gibt es Hunde, die sich auch mal freudig begrüßen und die Straßenreinigung ist aktiv, aber das Haus liegt an einer wenig befahrenen, kleinen Anliegerstraße, so dass es angenehm ruhig ist. Die Vermieter reagierten sehr schnell auf die Anfrage und waren sehr entgegen kommend als wir aufgrund von Flugverschiebung, früher An- und später Abreise mehrmals die Zeiten verschieben mussten. Ebenso unterstützen sie uns beim Flughafentransfer. Es hat alles bestens funktioniert. Am Ankunftstag fanden wir Wasser, Wein und Milch vor, eine nette Geste. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft gerne weiter und würden selbst auch gern wiederkommen.

Tolle Lage direkt an der Altstadt
Wir haben schöne 2 Wochen genossen. Das Haus liegt direkt an der Altstadt. Damit ist alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Durch die Hanglage hat man eine tolle Aussicht über den Nationalpark bis zum Atlantik. Eine Markise spendet Schatten wenn gewünscht. Ansonsten gibt es den ganzen Tag Sonne pur. Das Haus ist klein aber gut strukturiert. Für 2 Personen ideal. Allerdings muss man oft und viel Treppen laufen. Wen es nicht stört, wird sich wohl fühlen. Wir würden es wieder mieten.

Perfektes Appartment
Wir haben knapp 2 Wochen in dieser Ferienwohnung gelebt. Es war perfekt. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist gut und alles ist in gutem Zustand. Gerade die Ausstattung mit Regenschirm, Sonnenschirm, Bügeleisen und Waschtrockner war top für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Der Blick auf den Hafen von Alvor ist herrlich, gerade um auf der Terasse zu essen oder einen Wein am Abend zu trinken. Auch die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut. Der Strand ist in 10 min zu erreichen und die Einkaufsstraße ist direkt um die Ecke. Auch Restaurants und Bars sind alle fußläufig in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wieder dort hin fahren!

nettes haus, gute lage
tolles haus, gute enrichtung, gute lage, nette vermieter. netter blick vom balkon. von hier aus kontrolle über einige kilometer strand bis nach lagos. das haus liegt in der stadt. meistens ruhig. alle fenster und zimmer gehen zur strasse raus, man hört dann eben auch mal manche nachtwanderer zu ihren autos zurückkehren. aber das gehört zu einem stadthaus dazu. also: alles prima! einkauf beim mini-supermarkt um die ecke, der von morgens 7.00 bis abends 11.00 uhr geöffnet hat. die touri-restaurants sind meist etwas oberflächlich, die unscheinbaren in den nebenstrassen sind die besseren. günstig sind sie alle.

Die Ferienwohnung war, wie schon von vielen Urlaubern vor uns bewertet, sehr gut. Die Buchung und die Begrüßung vor Ort waren super. Der Blick auf Hafen und Meer ist großartig. Auch die Umgebung ist sehr angenehm. Ein kleiner Park direkt vor der Tür und immer (zumindest in der Vorsaison) einen Parkplatz vor der Tür. Ein wenig mehr Sauberkeit seitens des Reinigungspersonals wäre allerdings wünschenswert gewesen. Es waren nur Kleinigkeiten wie z.B. eine völlig ranzige verfettete Pfanne im Schrank. Leider hinterlassen einige Mieter die Küche nicht wie es sich gehört. Aber das müßte vom Reinigungsdienst besser überprüft weden. Allerdings wurde der defekte Kühlscharank am Anreisetag sofort ausgetauscht. Unter mehr als 300 Fernsehkanälen war, trotz mehrmaligem Suchlauf, nur ein deutsches Programm. Fanden wir sehr Schade, vor allem wenn das Wetter weniger schön gewesen wäre. Aber vielleicht ist ja bei unserer nächsten Buchung alles super. Die Wohnung ist sehr empfehlenswert und wir würden, trotz der kleinen Mängel immer wiederkommen.

Very Gracious Host
This review is only for our host Caroline, who was very kind, even though we were not able to make it to the rental unit. We booked this quite late because we decided use TAP Airlines stopover in Lisbon option and rent a car to drive down to the Algarve. Well, TAP cancelled multiple flights and delayed several others so we never made it out of Lisbon before needing to catch our connecting flight. Caroline was very responsive and even offered to move our entire reservation a few days to the right at no charge if that would allow us to visit. We didn't make it, but the offer was gracious and I would recommend working with her.

Excellent location
A lovely townhouse in a brilliant location. Literally a few minutes walk from the Main Street and all the gorgeous restaurants/ bars etc ( we didn’t have a bad meal) Also great for the harbour and walks along the boardwalk to the beach (the beach was a bit of a stroll away but lots of sun-beds and places for refreshments if you wanted a ‘beach day’) The house itself was clean and comfortable with everything the two of us needed - champagne flutes/ smaller wine glasses would be welcome! Loved the gorgeous terrace with its sun beds plus table and chairs. Nice memory foam pillows and mattress. Shower was great. I was a bit frightened of the stairs but negotiated them safely! All in all an excellent place for an Alvor holiday. Thank you x

Beautiful Townhouse with the view
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful townhouse with the most incredible view of the water and marina. The location was ideal with all the amenities especially restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. The townhouse had all the conveniences necessary for a great stay. Clean, modern and exactly has shown on the pictures. Alice the hostess met us at the door when we arrived. She was very helpful and provided some additional information about the townhous and the area. The bed was very comfortable and it had a great shower in the ensuite and a kitchen that has all the modern appliances. We had a great time and felt really save. We will definitely book the same townhouse when we return. Thanks

Parfait, le logement correspond parfaitement à la description. Parfaitement placé, je recommande.

House with a view
Well equipped property with great view from the terrace. Easy walking distance from the harbour and local restaurants. Everything was spotless, the shower was powerful and roomy and quality towels provided. The stairs are steep and require a little caution. Parking not always possible outside the property but loads of parking down by the harbour a couple of minutes walk away

We stayed in this townhouse for 12 nights mid September 2022. The unit was very clean and well appointed: fully stocked kitchen, washer dryer combo, iron, beach umbrellas, and beach towels. There is a small bathroom on the main floor behind the kitchen which is very convenient. The bedroom on the second floor has a king size bed, a wall of storage space, and a small bathroom but large shower. The third floor has a tv and couch with the main attraction being the balcony - small table and chairs, two lounging chairs and an awning. The view from there is spectacular! The marina, the beach, and amazing sunsets! The unit is a 10 min walk to the beach, minutes to restaurants and grocery shops. Our contact Alice was very friendly and always available and responsive when we had questions. Overall an incredible place to stay! The only drawback for some may be the number of stairs as it’s located on 3 levels.

Fantastic property in the heart of Alvor
A great town house in the heart of Alvor with a sun facing balcony terrace. Everything we needed was here for us including a fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom and great views over Alvor. Alice made contact in advance and was there to meet us on arrival. Loved our stay, both being in the heart of Alvor and with easy access to the fantastic boardwalk and beach. We were able to park our car close to the property which made transport easy.

Maison très bien équipée et située.
Dans une rue tranquille en hauteur par rapport au rivage , C’est une petite maison toute blanche , à l’extérieur comme à l’ intérieur sur 3 niveaux . Tout y est impeccable et , avec un peu d’habitude on s’est accommodés des escaliers qui donnent accès à la chambre , au séjour et leur superbe panorama .L’équipement est très complet pour un séjour très confortable . Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce séjour de 6 jours qui nous a permis de découvrir la partie ouest de l’Algarve.

Absolutely love this place, has everything including perfect views, comfy bed, beautifully clean, so near to shops, restaurants and the Harbour, what more could you ask for, Marta the Manager is a great addition, so friendly and welcoming, she just couldn’t do enough for us and so knowledgeable about the area and places to visit,

Cute little townhouse
This is our 3rd time at casa do burro, and we love it, the view from roof terrace is possibly the best in alvor, and as for the super king size bed, wow so comfortable, and restaurants 2mins walk to nearest, beach a 10min stroll, and Marta the host is most attentive in making sure you have everything you need

an ideal property for a couple as long as you have no mobility issues as the stairs are quite steep ... centrally located and handy for everything in the town and the promenade ... beach five/ten minutes stroll away ... balcony at top is the ideal place to chill and read a book or nine ... property well fitted out and supplied with pretty much all you would/could need even including brollies for use at the beach ... marta was very helpful and quick to respond when required ... would certainly book again if available when we next visit Alvor ... recommended.

Great holiday in Alvor
Really enjoyed our time in Alvor. Marta who met us on day 1 was friendly and helpful. The accommodation is in a great location with fantastic views on the top terrace. It was noisy during the day due to building works happening in the surrounding houses. There are a lot of steps on the property and it was hard for my partner to climb up and down because of his bad knee.

What a view
The owners Helan and Neil were very helpful and met us at the property, the property was well laid out and very clean with everything you could need, the views from the living room terrace over the harbour and the sunset over Lagos is something you never get tired of, the property is perfectly located only a matter of minutes walk from the shops bars and restaurants but just far enough away for you not to be disturbed by any noise, we would have no hesitation on returning to Alvor and this property.

Beautiful town house in traditional fishing village
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was our 2nd time in Alvor and we’ll definitely be back. The house is in a great location if you like to live amongst the locals. And the view from the top balcony is as perfect as all the reviews say. Would highly recommend.

Excellent location near bars and shops but just out of ear-shot. Property is beautifully appointed and they have forgotten nothing. Mind you don't bump your head on the cooker hood!
