Placid Village was a very positive surprise for us. Too bad we stayed only for one night. It was very quiet and the surroundings had a southern flair. The entire facility is very valuable and tastefully decorated. Unfortunately we only had a stopover here and didn't have time to enjoy the amenities.

Ruhige Lage und super Ausstattung, inklusive Waschmaschine u Spülmaschine. Wohnzimmer riesig, Schlafzimmer dafür etwas kleiner. Waren 1 Woche u haben uns wohlgefühlt. Man sollte am Besten ein Mietauto haben. Ansonsten ca. 20 min nach Cavoeiro zu Fuß

Toll eingerichtet, dünne Wände aber gut!
Geiles Apartment, cool eingerichteten und komfortable. Würden sicherlich nochmal dort buchen. Leider hatten wir Ameisen in unserer Küche die uns etwas geplagt haben. Zudem sind die Wände der dünn und man hört alles. Wir konnten zwei Nächte nicht schlafen, weil unser Nachbar extrem laut war und betrunken war.

Das Appartment sehr schön eingerichtet und riesig für 2 Personen, alles sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Ich würde der Unterkunft folgendes raten: Da das Frühstück ins Appartement gebracht wird, wäre es sicher sinnvoller am Vorabend einen Zettel auszulegen, wo man die gewünschten Speisen ankreuzen kann. Wir hatten jeden Morgen von Allem ZUVIEL. Wir konnten das mit 2 Personen unmöglich alles essen. 1 Liter Milch pro Tag für 2 Personen ist zuviel. Nicht jeder isst Cornflakes oder Müsli morgens. Um Verpackungen zu sparen finden wir den Vorschlag mit dem Zettel eine bessere Lösung.

We stayed here for 6 nights and it was brilliant. Exceptionally quiet, very clean and the unit was in top condition. Its about a 15 min walk to town so reasonably close to the action. The beds were comfortable, the wifi worked really well so I was able to work a bit too. They even had a few British TV channels so I was able to watch the world cup rugby on ITV. Overall very recommendable and I would go back once again. We also had our 3 year old daughter and they provided a small baby cot free of charge and a high chair for dinner time. The unit was also relatively child safe with a high barrier on the balcony and not too much she could destroy around the place. Definitely one of the better places I have stayed in a while!

Located in a quiet area of Carvoeiro the property and grounds, pool etc are kept in good condition. Apartment was well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine etc and AC. All staff were friendly and very helpful. A hire car is useful but Carvoeiro is walkable, but the the return walk is uphill and very steep in places. Cars can be hired through the hotel and the rate we got was better than going direct to the bigger companies. We would definitely return here if we go back to this area.

Wasn’t what was portrayed on the site. Very basic - economy suite. Very small pool - you had to drive to the beach. - walkable if you wanted to walk 3 miles. The lights from the hotel shined in our suite and the outside shutters were broken - I could not close them. I didn’t get much sleep in 4 days. Only a few chairs to sit on by the pool ??? We never could get a chair to lie on. They need to invest in more chairs. Also the balcony table and chairs were broken and weathered. Would not recommend sorry.

Dear Monica, First of wall we would like to thank you for choosing Placid Village to spend your holidays. Regarding your evaluation, we do not understand what you mean by economic suite. We have apartments with 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms all of them well equipped. kitchen all equipped with stove, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, iron, kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator with freezer, dishes, cutlery, glasses everything..... The way to the beach is a 15, 20 minute walk, something that is written on our website. The shutters from your room they were not broken or damaged, in fact when you checked out our receptionist explained to you how you should close the shutter. We would have appreciated it if you had kindly informed us of the situation, so that we could solve the problem. Not at check-out!!!! Sun beds are a problem that affects almost all hotels, it is difficult to have a sun beds for each guest. The balcony furniture we are aware of in some apartments has to be replaced. In fact, this assessment is already in process. But we do not place chairs or broken tables on the balconies, in regard to the wearing is something common due to the erosion of time. The apartment was very well kept, extremely spacious, and super comfortable. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, a short walk to a little city centre with many dining options, shops, and groceries, and a quick ride away from the beach. Incroyable séjour !
Nous sommes restés 6 nuits à Placid Village et nous aurions pu rester beaucoup plus tellement nous nous y sentions bien. Tout était parfait, nous ne manquions de rien. Propreté, gentillesse du personnel, appartement très spacieux, équipements au top, petit-déjeuner copieux, parking et piscine… un vrai coup de cœur pour cet hébergement qui a marqué nos vacances. Localisation un peu retirée du centre de Carvoeiro, mais parfaite pour un peu de tranquillité. Merci beaucoup !

Booked an apartment for 4 people, wasn’t happy that when I got to the room it was a handicapped room with a shower in the middle of the floor with only a curtain and the sink was very low due to it being a handicapped room. Went to the check in desk right away but they had closed at 6pm. Next morning went again they said they had no more rooms available which they should of listed it was a handicapped apartment but than I asked for atleast a free breakfast to makeup for it which they agreed on. It was a very nice big breakfast for the 2 nights for 4 people delivered to the room.

Totally fine apartment for a night
Quiet property. Cleaning products in the apartment smelled like strawberry jolly ranchers - which we didn’t like (it was too strong). Cleanliness was pretty good (some random stray hairs that weren’t ours), and the rooms were comfortable and all had AC.
