Der Empfang und Service ist gut. Jedoch das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt nicht. Die Zimmer sind nicht renoviert und die bereits renovierten sind nicht schön. Das Publikum ist sehr Engländer lastig und trinken schon morgens im Pool Bier. Es gibt nicht mal Glas Becher, in der Außenanlage, da man seinen Gästen nicht zutraut diese nicht hinzuschmeißen.

Good location, but everything is overpriced.
The front desk welcomed us and said, that hotel and breakfast is already paid and if they may offer us a welcome drink. We said yes and afterwards were charged 50 Euro for that. What a rip-off!

exclusives Hotel in unmittelbarer Strandnähe
wir haben einen wunderbaren 10tägigen Urlaub gemacht. Hatten ein sehr gutes Zimmer, allerdings gegen Aufpreis, Das Frühstück war sehr gut, der Service am Strand mit Badetüchern und Schattenplätzen war ausgezeichnet.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt im Hotel. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meeresblick und das mit großem Balkon. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich.

Heated pool very pleasantly warm - important in April. My room on the top (5th) floor had a beautiful sea and golf course view (though have heard rooms on 1st floor - under the swimming pool - were pretty grim). Great breakfast. Excellent location - 100m from the beach. Only things I had to fault were magnetic room key access - lock mechanism clearly needed replacing (tech came twice but didn’t resolve the issue) - which meant I had to go back down to reception to get a new card almost every time I went back to the room. Also - telephone did notconnect to reception/ guest services. Other than these mi or issues, a wonderful stay. Will return.

Really liked this hotel, visited out of season (February) so it was quiet, peaceful and with great service and a beautiful setting by the sea/beach. If I was nit picking I’d say that it’s a shame the pool wasn’t warmer and that it was a shame there were no spa facilities on site and included in stay, eg sauna / jacuzzi. Also the tennis courts looked shabby. Most people are here for the golf however which doesn’t disappoint although be aware there is no shuttle bus to the local course (vale do lobo) which is a 5–10 min (walk with golf bag) and the shuttle bus to the other two courses nearby isn’t regular. Most people seem to hire a car so maybe not enough call for it. Finally, out of season the food options locally are limited , an excellent restaurant in the hotel and only one restaurant open within walking distance by the beach.

We were lucky and had a recently re-furbished room which was excellent. Big room and bathroom. Rest of hotel needs some modernising but llocation and for golf, beach an ideal location. I would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel with easy beach access.
A nice hotel, typically expensive, but understaffed, particularly around the pool and it’s part of the beach, which meant too much rubbish left by sunbeds (beach and pool) and around the pool itself. The pool was oddly warm (heated!), which offered no relief from the heat. The rooms, however, were very nice and well proportioned. The breakfast offering was good, with a chef offering eggs and omelettes made to order. The massage I had at the spa was not good. This hotel is under recent new ownership, and a nominal refurb, and it feels as though service is being reduced to maximise profits. Overall, a nice stay, though, and so convenient for access to the beach.

Very good check in experience. Friendly and efficient. Restaurant bookings hit and miss with no feed back. Newly refurbished rooms very good. Breakfasts could have done with a wider variety of fruit but breakfast staff very good. Own private beach available and very comfortable as was the pool area. Service was decent but delivered in a brusque way. I sense the staff are well trained but don’t have any fun and this work only mentally pollutes the culture of what is meant to be a resort ‘holiday/relaxed/fun’ hotel. Rooms decent. Pool area limited but beach overspill helps. Needs a gym.

The entrance and communal areas of the hotel are sumptuous and plush in decor , however, although kept spotlessly clean, the room we had was very tired and old fashioned, and in need of upgrading. It was very spacious though, but disappointing in comparison to the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and we are dinner there on our first night and it was freshly cooked and delicious. All staff were extremely friendly, courteous and very helpful. They are an asset to the establishment.

Hotel is in a fantastic location across the road from the praca & beach. Reception area is very impressive, the restaurant (for breakfast), was great, fantastic food choice. Classic rooms are tired, Premium rooms are spacious. Pool area, definitely in need of repairs & renovation, tennis courts in need of repairs. Debris/litter outside our balcony was never colllected. Be aware that the hotel does allow dogs, very annoying when you have one in the next room which continually barks. Overall fantastic location but definitely not 5 star standard.

The staff are brilliant. The hotel is lovely but could do with a little tidying up around the edges, especially the pool which needs a clean as do the tennis courts. Overall a really good stay. The hotel is also in a great spot with lots of activities within walking distance.

Location is brilliant and they are in the middle of renovations. If you want a good room ask for a refurbished one. It is not a big bustling hotel. Check your bill. We were charged for food for the room next door. The outdoor pool is heated but the deck area is roasting hot to walk on. There are not enough sun beds and the English are up at 6 in the morning putting the towels on, clearing off and coming back after lunch. Not good at all. The hotel has an area on the beach so many had to go there. Would not be my first choice to return to this hotel but overall it was ok. We had a few struggles with problems as the staff would not budge and we found them to be dismissive.
